It really says something about the producers that they'd do something like this in response to having a returnee season that actually turned out to be fairly watchable and compelling.
Show contentWhat I've heard is that they won't theoretically be playing the game, which is excellent. I love Sandra but Rob is an insufferable presence in any season he's on, and the idea of having to watch him play again would be atrocious. Even in an adviser capacity, I shudder to think what the production team was thinking there. Rob has only one strategy, and it's a terrible one that got him sent home in prejury twice. Then when he finally did win by changing absolutely nothing about his strategy at all, it made for a season so boring and terrible that Probst went onto Survivor Sucks to personally apologize to the fans. He's literally the worst possible choice to make a season *more* interesting.

Not sure where you got the "Probst apologizing on sucks" from, but I don't think that's true.
You'd understand the reason for Sandra & BRob making an appearance on S39 better if you looked at insidesurvivor's article on S40. :P
