Filming of season 12 has begun this week in Guatemala. They were yesterday in Atitlan Lake and they has been tonight in Antigua.

It has just appear in French media that the route will be Guatemala, Costa Rica and Colombia.

In Guatemala they will visit Antigua, in Costa Rica they will film in Flores and in Colombia at least in Cartagena de Indias.

Mention that while Guatemala and Colombia were the scenario of the Italian 5th season, it is the first time worldwide that a route of PE will pass through Costa Rica!!!!!

An update:

The name of the race (the 12th season of Pekin Express French Edition) is "The road of the 50 volcanos". 8 teams of 2 are present. The racers are in Costa Rica since last saturday. The 1st leg on Costa Rica was a trek at the Arenal Volcano. They also visit the cities of Quepos and San José. The Broadcast will be normally on July. The final will be at Bogota in around a week.
