TAR has wanted to redo the meat eating task Season 7  in Argentina for awhile.  Switchback time? ???

(don't know why-- I hated that one, who wants to see barf??) :funny:

My thought is we have missed a leg. They rarely do an extended PitStop on leg 1 that I can recall.

But def possible to get from Trinidad to GRU   this morning OR from a missed location in Panama, Suriname or Brazil.

SO KEEP LOOKING EVERYONE!  :waves:

So based on that tweet it looks like at least 3 legs in South America.

I assumed they spent 1st leg in TaT, 2nd leg (which we missed) somewhere else in SA (or still in TaT) and now they connected to Sao Paolo for 3rd leg in SA.

My thinking is that there may have been an extended pit stop in order to get Phil and production ahead of the teams.
Wasn’t there this exact same scenario for TAR 31 filming?
That ought to suggest a destination that requires connecting flights (plural) or a long distance. So to me, a leg 2 starting today also remains feasible, even if teams arrived somewhere late at night and had to wait for daylight.
This is just speculation of a possible sequence of events to this point.

I am just hoping we can all try to be as factual as possible. I know I try to use possible, unknown, etc when I am unsure.

There is so much we do not know...and some we do.

*Trinidad and Tobago are considered CARIBBEAN, even though they are geographically so close to SA, so that rules out 3 SA legs right there.
*Could Trinidad and Tobago be separate legs? Cannot be 100% ruled out although I would think not. ??? Even so, not SA.
*Is Sao Paulo us??
*If so, is it transit only?
* Where is next leg?

GRU has probably the best flights worldwide, it is a huge hub with flights everywhere. The world is open from there.

However, I do agree that we should be keeping a close eye on ARGENTINA and then possibly Uruguay.

As of this moment we have NO confirmed legs in So AM :funny:

There's a possibility our missing leg is in Manaus, Brazil. Can't be 100% sure, but good reason to think so.

Given it's the "Heart of the Amazon", it might mean we see the teams race through the rainforest  :)x

I thought about this too! Although I still think we can’t rule out Guyana and/or Suriname

Just some possibilities!

Since we can assume that Manaus was leg two, and there is speculation of transit in Sao Paolo as well as Argentina and Uruguay as possible destinations.

Here are the direct flights from Sao Paolo to Argentina and Uruguay:
Argentina
Buenos Aires
Mendoza (where the TAR 7 meat eating task occured)
Córdoba
Rosario
San Miguel de Tucumán

Uruguay
Montevideo
Punta Del Este

Yes but if camera crews were seen in Sao Paulo yesterday, they were  unlikely to be us, since teams (probably) were in still (probably) in Manaus.

We need to focus on where flights from Manaus go....

But if they left Manaus yesterday all bets are off. (thought to be unlikely)

Sounds like the tweet was talking about Gary/De’Angelo because they are the only mixed team.

Just a thought. If this season’s filming timeline is similar to TAR 31, then my speculation is that there is going to br two or three legs with extended pit stops to allow Phil and production to get ahead and then get teams headed to the next destination.
If camera crews were seen in San Paulo, we can’t be sure if they were coming or going, as some camera and production crews leap frog ahead, i.e., some are/were headed to leg 2 while others are/were headed to the leg 3 locations. And as to where things are headed geographically, it could be south to the southern tip of the Andes, last seen in TAR 11, or east to Africa especially Southern Africa, South Africa, Namibia, Angola, or west towards Oceania, New Zealand, or Australia. And being literally near the Equator in the center of the continent would make it hard to rule much out. (There’s an advantage of sorts to 31 routes to not overlooking alternative choices.)
If teams were filming a leg on Wednesday, and production needed a day’s head start to get to the next location, then not seeing teams travel by air until Friday makes sense. There is also a possibility of two legs being filmed in the Amazon. I’m opening to multiple possibilities.

As best I can tell from this Twitter account (https://twitter.com/dejesusmarcelo), there were/are events at Teatro Amazonas in Manaus each day from yesterday through Sunday, but not on the 14th (Wednesday). So, they could have gone there and it does look spectacular.

Production was at GRU on Wednesday and the Manaus sightings were yesterday. Paraguay on Tuesday would fit. They may still be in Manaus.

That route posted by Shen Shen seems unlikely as hell!

Trinidad & Tobago to Paraguay, than to Manaus, than to Bogota?

I find that very hard to believe.

Trinidad & Tobago to Paraguay, than to Manaus, than to Bogota?

I find that very hard to believe.

Copa has a Monday night flight from Trinidad to Asunción via Panama City that arrives Tuesday morning. Then, there are flights via São Paulo to Manaus. These two are likely.

From what I see, flying from Manaus to Bogotá isn't as easy.
