The Afghanimals were maybe having problems: flight delayed or missed the flight in Hanoi Airport to Luang Prabang?

Or they got got by the Extreme Roadblock or a clueless cab driver...

Weren't 10 teams spotted in Laos- according to Jess and Cody Army?
Thats how they figured out Art and Jj were toast right?
I believe Art & JJ is booted out first so yes. Maybe they were beaten by an Extreme RB / H2H ?  ???

10 elephants were used in Leg 2 roadblock, which indicated one team had been eliminated, likely in Tokyo, Leg 1.   Because Art & JJ were not seen in Laos, it was assumed they were the losing team.

HCMC may well be a connection, with teams having to stay overnight to catch flights to the next destination. That would also facilitate getting production ahead of the teams for the next leg.
As to eliminations via spoiler, unless there's photographic evidence of a team on the pit stop mat being eliminated, it is speculation at this point and i wish it is phrased that way. And let me add, assumptions are dangerous, they can lead to wring conclusions.

It seems odd to have teams fly out of Siem Reap then HCMC to a destination, when there are larger airports to make connections too. Seems like HCMC is a leg....

As I suggested production may be trying to get ahead of the teams after Laos, but we don't know that there's a leg in HCMC. This routing seems more to be a consequence of getting to Laos than anything else. All I'm saying is I don't think we can assume there's a leg in HCMC with a late night arrival, and it's just as likely a connection for an a.m. flight.

So just spec unless teams are seen on the ground in HCMC, outside of the airport :P

Regarding the pictures of Rachel/Elissa and Colin/Christie looking in a shop.
Are we sure that was a task? or it could just be the start of the leg, and them asking for direction/buying food before going.

It would make sense to have 2 legs in Laos. So maybe they had a quick leg in the same city that ended with a KOR finish? Like Leg 3 is Laos KOR, and then leg 4 is HCMC?

Not sure but, the sighting at the L'Etranger was not a task, so possibly looking for directions?

Working to confirm atm.

Is anybody else curious why a lot of the teammates are wearing blue stickers on them in the Siem Reap airport photos

tarbbsurvivor I am totally curious about that! I tried to make out what they said but couldn’t!

Also I have a friend in HCMC who was going to investigate but didn’t see anything last night. She’s a huge TAR fan. So if anyone finds any leads that there is a leg there I can direct her :)

I'd like to see Central Vietnam but as we've had 2 semi rural asia legs, I'd say we're gonna see a city.

On the contrary, isn't Da Nang fairly urban? (Probably HCMC anyhow, but still.)

True. If they visit Da Nang I'd hope we'd also see Hoi An.

Do we know if HCMC will host a leg? Wouldn't it be cool if the race went from Japan -> Laos -> Oceania?!

There are 2 direct flights to Sydney from Ho Chi Minh served by Vietnam Airlines & Jetstar Airways.

There is also a direct flight to Melbourne from HCMC (Thanh Po Ho Chi Minh) served by Vietnam Airlines & JetStar as well.

Possible timeline:
(6-10) Hermosa Beach start; teams seen at LAX departing for Tokyo
(6-11) Teams land in Tokyo; Corinne/Eliza spotted in Shibuya
(6-12) No sightings, likely extended pit stop
(6-13) Leo/Jamal spotted in Hanoi, in transit to Laos
(6-14) Becca, Colin or Chris, Rupert, and Janelle(?) seen at Elephant village; likely leg 2
(6-15?) Colin/Christie, Victor/Nicole, Britney/Janelle seen in marketplace; possible leg 3?
(6-16) Rachel/Elissa, Colin/Christie seen near Mount Phousi; 8 teams seen in Siem Reap Airport, in transit to HCMC
(6-17) We’ll see!

Not sure why we're looking at flights to other locations. Our BB friends have nailed it - HCMC it is.

David my understanding was the marketplace was on 6/14, but in hindsight realised I may have interpreted that post wrong. Will need to reconfirm. If 6/15 is correct then we have two Luang Prabang legs. Otherwise right now I'm not sure whether HCMC is leg 3 or 4.

I am quite bothered that they have already Luang Prabang. I am only going there tonight. :groan:

The funny thing was that I had this gut feeling that they would visit Laos this time, but I was in the wrong city.

Added a [?] next to 6-15, until we know for sure one way or another

I believe the Roadblock Extreme is a tool used to force both members of the team to do the Raodblock. I think that the second person who does the Roadblock isn’t included in the Roadblock count.

It’s actally where they have to do the Roadblock under more arduous conditions or to a higher level of completion.

Leg 1: Tokyo, Japan
Leg 2: Luang Prabang, Laos
Leg 3: Luang Prabang, Laos
Leg 4: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

There's a nice direct flight from HCMC to Melbourne...........

Have you vetted that information or even provided a link that can be used to verify it?
