Ooo! I only just saw your update Numfar!

Nice to finally hear something about TAR China. hehe

Saw this article and I gather these are the rumored teams:

Wu Jing and Xie Nan (Married)
Li Guangjie and Guo Jingfei (Friends)
Wu Dajing and Fan Kexin (Short-track Speed Skaters)
Jiao Enjun and Jiao Manting (Father and Daughter)

I definitely hope TAR China 5 pushes through this year!

The way they cast this sometimes is so fluid, that I won't really speculate on teams, until they are really racing.
Those teams listed in the story dryedmangoez found are the same teams mentioned in the post I shared in January.

The funny thing is trying to look for some update now it gets a bit confusing, as fan sites and news sites are also covering TAR31 finally premiering in the US.
No actual news, the curious thing was stumbling upon another project from the same producers as TAR China that already aired.
Titled 极速环游记 (Speed Destination Travel - which literal translation is also really close to the Chinese title for TAR - 极速前进). It was 10 epidode about 30 minute long per episode series, hosted by Alan Wu, every episode would feature a group of 3 celeb ladies, with preexisting relashioship - bandmates, co-workers, etc - travelling to a different destination in Mainland China, experiencing something particular from each destination through tasks, even though the show wasn't particularly competitive.
It premiered back in January and concluded airing last month. Not sure how the cast was split, as the poster seem to feature 12 cast members, so they probably had 4 groups of 3 rotating through the series.

Definitely not TAR China related, but just though it was funny to mention.

About time!

Did Fan Bingbing ever turn up, by the way? Since that was apparently a factor.

Yeah, she posted a New Year's greeting on her Instagram last February:
