Full Disclosure I was actually looking for insight into TAR30 Leg 11 when I stumbled upon this.
Disclaimer: Let me emphasize, that this proposal was
not approved by the sponsors, who still prefer a season of "champions" for the concept of a upcoming season. But it is very interesting to see what the producers were trying to pitch. We'll probably only get some effective official info for the season, very last minute, right before they start filming.
So there was a Shenzhen TV event back on 10/20/17, in which some info about the 2018 programming was made public. This included a pitch from the TAR China producers about what they would like to do with the show in 2018. However, the sponsors were not fans of the proposal.
We completely missed this, probably because it got lost in the shuffle in the middle of TAR30 filming cause it happened at the same time.
