Just my two cents but I don't think all of these commotions will also happen if Jody didn't end up on the finale. :res:
Experienced RFF members like us would have adapted the rule long before though, it probably takes times for newcomers (especially Jody fans who extremely care their positions on each leg of the race  :groan:)

Tell you what guys, can we please get back to discussing the spoilers? Searching for missing legs?

This is a thread for the TAR30 spoiler discussion, not a thread for how RFF works or does not work.

And thank you for the kind words as well! Everyone worked extremely hard to bring you the HK and San Fran spoilers, so some love for the incredible on the ground teams means a lot!

Thanks!

I'm not sure it's San Francisco Bay, but if it is, that must be the San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge because there are no tall buildings near the Golden Gate Bridge. Would they use day time shots in a night time leg?  That might also suggest that the Zodiac boats went to the bridge. Could the team jumping have been from the bridge? Interesting to speculate but no proof.

The Bay Bridge is a freeway bridge, so no sidewalks or something that they can use to jump.

The buildings between the photogs resembles the Rincon Hill towers. I'd say the boat they were on was halfway between SF and Yerba Buena island and south of the bridge. Sources:

Finish Line on a boat?
That’s honestly would be tragic for the teams who had to drive back on their boat to land to pay their taxis

And also hilariously cruel. But it's gotta be a large boat.

Well, you would have to acknowledge that a boat would be a pretty good secure, restricted access and restricted visibility location. And, if they wanted to have the equivalent of a footrace they could make the teams have to climb a cargo net up the side of the boat (ship?) to board.

The Bay Bridge photo MAY reflect when teams disappeared on the zodiac boats after the kayak task...and were gone approx. an hour.

We believe they were doing a JUMP...but did not reappear WET.

So a jump and swing maybe? Pure spec!

Probably the same bungee swing they did in TAR17 Finale.

They could have done a night parachute jump, several smaller airports around Oakland/East Bay and it's a "thing" there.

A bungee type jump could be set up anywhere as well, including on one of the islands in the bay or in any enclosed space.

Production/Phil probably got in ahead of them earlier in the day.

If the finish line is on a boat, while that is cool, just don't want a repeat of 24's stunty entrance to the finish where the winner was decided by who got to the cluebox first.

Phil's pic looks to have been taken Monday afternoon most likely considering the sun is in the west as the pic is facing the City.

Quick order of the night to help clarify:
Arrive at SFO
Travel by taxi to South Beach Harbor/Pier 40/AT&T Park
Perform task with kayaks and baseballs (possible Willie Mays tie-in?)
Leave Pier 40 area by boat
Possibly perform some form of "jump" task?
Arrive at Pier 15/Exploratorium by boat (neither team member appeared wet after "jump" task)
Receive clue leading to Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory
Travel to Fortune Cookie Factory on foot
Perform tasks at Fortune Cookie Factory
Receive clue leading to SF City Hall
Travel to City Hall by taxi
Arrive at City Hall and receive clue leading to final location
Travel to final location by taxi
Arrive at final location
Perform final task?
Run to pit stop within the same area?

Peach will be coming soon with an official timeline and more details, but thought I'd clear things up a little, since there might've been a little confusion on transportation

Question marked items are due to us not having visual confirmation of these, thought they all seem highly likely

Can you scouters please explain to me how the skiers got ahead in a boat ride when yall reported that jody and the debaters beat the skiers in the kayak challenge and said they had kayak problems??
Here is some information on the "jump" comment.  The racers left the kayaks via zodiac boat (Pier 40/South Beach Harbor/AT&T Park).  They arrived at Pier 15/Exploratorium approximately 1 hour later.  During this 1 hour (maybe at the 45 minute mark?) I overheard one of the waiting production staff say, "The first team just jumped."  That was all I heard and no other context.  So wherever this "jump" was, they had to be able to get from Pier 40 to Pier 15 by boat with the "jump" in between.  The quoted picture of the skiers was taken at Pier 15 when they got off the boat and they don't look wet.

Because either they travelled faster or did the task faster of course. Placements can change at the drop of a hat.

And the "kayak problem" was a guess because they were seen just waiting at one point. In hindsight, it is possible they were either waiting for the umpire or their zodiac pickup.

Context of Willie Mays and the kayaks:  The water on the other side of the right field fence is called McCovey cove, named after Willie McCovey, a hall of famer, & team mate of Willie Mays.  Home run balls over the right field fence land in McCovey Cove, and people really do rent kayaks there and hang out to fish out home run balls from the water.

Travel by taxi to South Beach Harbor/Pier 40/AT&T Park
Perform task with kayaks and baseballs (possible Willie Mays tie-in?)

Just based on the 2 videos posted to YouTube and Instagram Stories, the clue picked up in front of AT&T Park/Willie Mays Plaza asked teams
How many career HRs did Willie Mays hit? = 660
They then had to go to Pier 40, hop into a kayak and paddle themselves into McCovey Cove to search for three baseballs with the numbers 6, 6 and 0. Those were the baseballs needed to be given to the umpire.

Could this be a reference to one of the TAR19 finale tasks, it sounds reminiscent of it. Or...TAR just likes baseball in their finales, because we had it as a theme last season too  :P

"On completing the Roadblock, teams had to deduce that the series of three numbers on the clue were a homage to Hank Aaron: 44 (his uniform number), 715 (the number of home runs he hit to break the Major League Baseball home run record) and 74 (the year in which he broke the record). Teams had to figure out that they were to go to Turner Field."

I moved a lot of misguided spoiler final 3 order discussion to the Jody Thread.

Please read my post there. Thanks!

From the live sighting thread:

I don't think this was posted.

Found a small article in french about TAR's visit to Saint-Tropez.
According to the article, they played boules (=pétanque I think ?) at Place de Lices.

I love the last line (and caption to the photo): "If filming was meant to be confidential, it did not resist to a touchdown on social networks." (Google translate, but you get the drift.)  :funny:
