Has a team, which was trailing 3rd for 2/3rd of the final leg of the amazing race, won at the end ?

Season 14, I believe is one? The team had a healthy lead most of the leg, then the one doing the Roadblock got frustrated and mentally shut down on the memory task, they ultimately fell to 3rd.
So did the team that was trailing 3rd won that season ? I haven't seen that season.

My memory is fuzzy but I do think they won yes. As OP described they only got into first place at the final task. I think the same happened in tar 21 but I'm not sure again!

Okay...just a quick recap.

The final three teams got their clue at City Hall and headed off in taxis.

The location was NOT close.  It was also NOT possible to SEE into the location...!

Not close to Civic Center? Jumpsuits? Maybe
- The Presidio
- Yerba Buena/Treasure Island?

I mean Alcatraz would fit the need for jumpsuits...
Taxi to Alcatraz?

Obviously.

There are plenty of warehouses and abandoned buildings on Treasure Island. if jumpsuits, maybe something stunt-y like TAR25

So skiers were 1st who opened "go to the finish line" clue, correct?
Can you guys answer my question, please? Thanks  :)

i think it was "go to the final task location", not "go to finish line". CMIIW

Agreed, if you're talking about the clue at City Hall.
So skiers were 1st who got clue at City Hall and then followed final task and then finish line?

Jess and Cody probably took taxi or BART (rapid transit/train) to Oakland for better flight to LA. I don't think the final task was in Oakland (but I suppose it could have been).

Oakland to Burbank is Jessica flying home as Jess herself sent out that tweet (earlier she sent "We missed you - J + C" ). The penultimate location seems to have been the city hall in San Francisco so I suppose the final location / finish line isn't anywhere near Burbank :P

Well, they flew out of Oakland.

They started this leg in SF at a sports stadium, the hints we were given was that the location "wasn't close."

Maybe they ended it in the Oakland stadium?  That would be EASY to close off from fans/TAR hunters as well.

Oakland's just a short drive across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco. I think she flew out of Oakland airport for flight convenience or a cheaper rate than that of SFO.

Depends on traffic, but yes, it's a ways away.  17 miles but across the bay, google maps says 34 minutes.

Why can't we know the location?  I don't get it.

Guys. We finishing spoiling less than 9 hours ago. For 5 of that I slept, 3 had real life things to do.  I am now wading thru all the incoming info and pics and vids from multiple sources to see what exactly we do and don't have. Then the team will share in any info as always.

No decisions have been made about anything except not spoiling the final 3 finish order as we usually do not. IF we have it, which I don't think we do.
Oval, please make some message room so we can talk. Thanks!

The account is restricted because enough users reported it for violating Twitter's terms. It's a newly created account posting "spoilers." I don't know how much more obvious of a troll account it can be.

17 miles from San Francisco City Hall:  Muir Beach (Marin County), Tiburon/Belvedere (Marin County)...Tiburon would be awesome...night time view of the SF skyline and the Golden Gate Bridge lit at night?  But then again, there is the fog element.
 Haha Hmmm...Pacifica State Beach?

First time following the race live on this forum. Started due to wanting to get updates on Cody/Jess  since it was also my first time watching live feeds on BB19 and became a fan of theirs from that, and now really loved following here for TAR updates on all of the teams. Can’t wait to watch the show to see all of the tasks the teams did that we saw just little bits of info on and the ones we don’t know. And see what happened with each team to get eliminated. Thanks everyone for all of the updates and anylizing.  Will definitely follow here again in the future :)
