According to a couple of different flight tracking sites..

The Delta flight left the gate earlier but was taxiing on the runway for quite some time.

The Iceland Air flight ended up getting in the air before the Delta flight.

Both flights are in the air now but they should be landing within minutes of eachother. The Iceland Air flight arriving first.

Gonna be interesting to see all teams basically bunched up in the very first leg.

According to FR24, Delta didn't leave the gate first. Maybe they closed the gate early?

Was near the Delta flight gate, everyone was at least past the gate/out of the terminal by 8:35-8:40, when my flight finally started boarding

I reckon they could have made it on SA22 on 15 Oct, 1045-1215.
That'd give us enough time for a semi-rural Leg 7 on 15 Oct, and an urban Leg 8 in Harare on 16 Oct.

I reckon they took Emirates all the way. Emirates serve a daily Harare --> Dubai service with a stop in Lusaka.

We heard they left in the morning right?

I doubt they will wait until 1840 for the emirates flight

Even if they can't make the 0700 flight above there is another 0850 flight to JNB and also possible via nairobi which actually arrives earlier if they can make the (in theory) 45 mins connection

KQ706 1128-1527
EK720  1626-2218   or   KQ310  1855-0049+1

Flights from Bahrain to Chiang Mai which teams took on October 20th, 2017:

GF150 BAH-BKK 0910-2003 (scheduled 0900-2010)
PG221 BKK-CNX 2228-2347 (scheduled 2135-2255) - delayed 52 minute arrival

It seems Phil and the production crew likely left Bahrain on the night of the 19th and arrived in Chiang Mai in the following afternoon:

GF152 BAH-BKK 2220-0922 (scheduled 2220-0920)
WE160 BKK-CNX 1133-1210 (scheduled 1055-1215)

That'd give us enough time for a semi-rural Leg 7 on 15 Oct, and an urban Leg 8 in Harare on 16 Oct.

According to flightaware, the teams took the correct flight to Harare from a connection in Johannesburg on October 15th:
SA22 JNB-HRE 1100-1219

And here's what I reckoned on the flight from Prague to Harare:
Swiss (LX) 1499 PRG-ZRH 1953 (10/14) - 2100 (10/14) (scheduled 1955-2115)
Swiss (LX) 288 ZRH-JNB 2243 (10/14) - 0906 (10/15) (scheduled 2240-0910)
South African (SA) 22 JNB-HRE 1100 (10/15) - 1219 (10/15) (scheduled 1045-1215)

Apologies for my "archived" Prague to Harare post above which is now outdated.
