Who's ready for the season premiere?
I'm really excited for it (saw the first 6 minutes and they hyped me up), so I'll try to enjoy this as much as possible, but will drop in with some live updates every now and then!

People divided into tribes based on the positive qualities they are perceived as having by others.

Heroes: their ideals, achievements.
Healers: acts of service in helping others physically and mentally.
Hustlers: work ethic.

Chrissy is the hero who's had an incredibly successful career, left it to raise kids, and then came back to an even better career.
Mike is the sex doctor. Major superfan!
Ali on hustlers is actually GloZell's personal assistant! So cool!

A classic introductory challenge of gathering supplies, getting it on the tribes' rafts and paddling back to shore.

First tribe to get there wins a massive firemaking kit.
Second tribe gets a flint.
Third tribe.... you can guess it.

THERE'S ALSO A SECRET ADVANTAGE HIDDEN ON THE BOAT!

Aaaand Ryan from the Hustlers tribe gets it!

Healers light their torch first!
Heroes very close behind.
Hustlers got completely lost in the water. Paddled the wrong way.

Healers congratulating their win. Joe saying they will win all the time. He also believes healers will be easy to manipulate. He says they will all be hs puppets.


Alan on the heroes tribe is an NFL player.
An alliance is already forming: Ashley, JP and Ben.

Alan is pretending to be a part of that, but he sees Ashley and JP as a couple that's aleady too close.
Chrissy and Katrina are being labeled 'the moms' and feel like they need to work together to survive.

Ali on Hustlers is worried, because her tribe didn't do well at all. She needs to start thinking about alliances. After a quick talk to Patrick, they seem to have a thing going.

Ryan unwraps his found advantage and it is actually a super idol which can be played after the votes have been read!
BUT! It is only valid for this very first tribal council. If his tribe doesn't lose immunity, he will have to secretly send it to a member on the losing tribe.

Back to Healers tribe building shelter.

Mike is thinking on going on an idol hunt. He's really scared to be out first, because he left his wife and kids behind.
Joe is already worried about Mike. He's the probation officer with a great lie detector.

He questions a piece of rope in Mike's hand, thinking it's from the idol.
A short confrontation, leading to Mike not trusting Joe now.

Ryan building trust with Devon, tells him about the secret idol.

Night time at Heroes.
Alan confronting JP about having an idol. He actually doesn't think that, just wants to cause some suspicion.

JP stripped down to his bare butt to show there's no idol hidden in his pants.
Ashley getting sketched out by Alan.


(I don't get why all these people are trying to play so hard on day  lol.)

Seems like a really strategically aggressive bunch so far.

Back from commercials and it's immunity challenge time!

Jeff announced that the tied votes at tribal council are back!
I.e. it will not instantly go to deadlock, where the castaways either have to reach a unanimous decision, or draw rocks, like it was last season.

Healers win again!
And after a really close battle, Hustlers pull out nd place against Heroes.

Chrissy getting down to her knees after the challenge. She may be sick or something, she actually vomitted.:/

Ryan's gonna have to give somebody his idol!
I really hope it's Chrissy or Katrina, because I want the seemingly old, outsider women to survive. Wouldn't mind JP going home tbh, woul be nice to have a strog male as the first boot for a change. (.. wishful thinking )

Alan, Chrissy and Katrina have a talk. They all say they feel like they're the target.

Alan wants to actually dump his previous foursome with the younger guys.
Trying to get a new four with Ben going.


AND CHRISSY FINDS THE SUPER IDOL!!

Heading into tribal council, I don't know what's gonna happen.
I figure Chrissy would save herself or Katrina, as she was her original ally, if the majority of the votes fell their way.

Are those 2 voting for Ashley? If so, I think she will be the first person out, which is kind of a bummer. Liked her pre-season, could have been a force in this game.

But I'm just speculating, let's see what actually happens!

A lot of talk about JP and Ashley at tribal!

Chrissy said she felt she didn't belong in the tribe from the start. Simply because of the age variety in her tribe.

It's really sad that Katrina is gone. She wasn't shown much at all in the episode, and seemed like a really bright character in the pre-season interviews. She was really quirky and fun! I so wish Chrissy had saved her. Ashley will just be one of the pretty girls this season, while I feel like Katrina would have brought a different energy.

Anyway, I think the premiere was strong! Solid episode from start to finish, an unexpected amount of strategy for a first episode, in my opinion, and a suspenseful tribal council.
