So, a sighting at the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau. This could be a Ontario/Quebec leg, then. Gatineau, Quebec is directly across the river from Ottawa. I went to that museum on a school trip once.

They were still reporting it closed today due to flooding.

Would be nice. They surprisingly haven't done a border-crossing leg since NWT/Yukon in Season 1.

You get a beautiful view of the Library from the Museum of History! When they had the finale leg in S2, I was on a travel group for my school at the Museum of History in Gatineau while they did the task at the Library.. Wasn't allowed to leave the museum to go check it out!!  :dick

Re: City Hall video I'm doing screencaps now but IMO:

Team 1 already has their clue, while Team 10 receiving their clue from Mayor. Team 10 is running in from right as another team gets to Mayor first from the left.

Let me know if approved & I'll post the screencaps.

I don't see team 10 at all. I see Team 1, 6 and 9 (look closely for 9)

You can tell team 9 is waiting in queue to greet the Mayor. They run in just as team 10 run out. You basically just see their feet.

Re: Canadian Museum of History sightings.

Team 3 was seen at the 2X U-Turn Board holding a RM clue. There was also one tweet I posted yesterday that teams were seen arriving at the Museum:
Christine_Brown‏ @Christine_Brown
At CanadianMuseum of History. Amazing Race Canada is filming here right now! Racers are coming in right now.
7:39 PM - 9 May 2017 from Gatineau, Québec

This museum is in Gatineau, Quebec and has a gorgeous view of Parliament Hill from the other side of the Ottawa River, as well as a park and walkway. I know the walkway was totally flooded out. All employees EXCEPT support staff were told to stay home yesterday, due to flooding. Yet the museum continued with the reception that was held there.

The bottom line is the Pitstop could have been there OR back on Parliament Hill.

So they were in Gatineau for sure? I suppose the flood would give them a convenient reason to say it's closed for the day, lol

Maybe from here, they'll go farther in and next leg might be somewhere along that western edge of Quebec (Val d'Or, etc). Every Quebec leg so far has been within the St. Lawrence watershed. Which is where like 90% of the province's population lives.

The only flights in and out of Nunavit depart from Ottawa, so that would be an amazing connection.  Especially celebrating the 150th.  But I still suspect London, England to pop up sometime soon.

Yeah, I'm looking at UK, too.

It's still a possibility the weather could be wreaking havoc on planned domestic legs in Eastern Canada. Heard on the radio today how parts of Quebec and northern Nova Scotia are expecting MORE heavy rain.

It's almost as if the TarGods could be saying "Get out of the country!!"

A: I am a HUGE fan of the show. Was that really from the lastest season filming?!

B: Yes!!

A; OMG!!! Do you know if it was the CDN show or the USA show? Also, did you see any contestants coming through at any point?

B: Canadian! Yep about 4 pairs. The episode will akr August 8th I believe!

A: That is SO cool. Did they come before or after our reception?

B; The last pair came through as people were arriving on buses so I think some people got pictures of them running by!

 A:Thank you!

This picture was taken in the entrance of the Canadian Museum of History

If the teams were boarding at 13h45 ish, the flights leaving around 14h are:

14h: Air Canada to Halifax
        Porter Airline to Toronto

14h30: American Airline to Philadelphia
           Air Canada to Toronto

Probably to Toronto and connecting somewhere else, international?

This might be already known information, but a few days ago (maybe May 8? sorry i forget exactly  :groan:) I saw John Montgomery near Dow's Lake in Ottawa (in the park with the tulips, near the statue of the man holding up two hats). There were camera crews and I heard him say something about a clue/ cluebox

Thanks! Yeah, it was on VE Day, May 8. I had speculated that statue due to the Dutch connection.

This might be a great self driving leg.
Viking Trail
Gros Morne
Norstead Viking Village
L'Anse aux Meadow
I think there is also a ferry to Labrador and a historical fishing village.

Brush with fame today. The Amazing Race is being filmed in Ottawa right now. . . racing off to a meeting at the Museum of Civilization with Chile to discuss sustainability and who opens the door for me? John Montgomery!!! OMG He is so nice and adorably cute! Recognized his voice the moment he spoke but was shocked when I turned . . . as I think I am bigger than him! Could easily take him one on one!

Museum of Civilization was the old name for the now Museum of History in Gatineau. Locals continue to call it the Museum of Civilization though! Same place.
