I am a little lost on the times, when was the PitStop please and how long would it take to get back to Manila for flights out?

Current time is Atlanta+12 hours.  What is our time estimate for team release?

It may be possible to have a second Philippine leg. I've driven there once, it takes 8 hours by car to get from Manila to Vigan!

Hi georgiapeach, I guess yesterday's activities in Quiapo and Pasay and today's activities in Vigan are only for ONE LEG. The teams arrived in Manila yesterday afternoon at 1:30pm for some challenges then went to Vigan City for the U-TURN and probably checked in there for pitstop.

So tomorrow would be another leg probably so stay tuned whether they will continue to race within the Philippines or fly to another country as they are resting by now in Vigan.

As for your other question, for them to go back to Manila, the following scenarios are most likely:

1. By bus for 8-9 hours depending on the traffic
2. By bus for 2 hours to Laoag International Airport (the nearest airport from Vigan. Laoag is the capital of Ilocos Norte, the province next to Ilocos Sur) then by airplane to Manila for 45 minutes.

If they have checked in to the pitstop at around 12 noon today and into a 12-hour mandatory rest, then they will be released for the next leg at around 12 midnight of August 19 Philippine time (or 12 noon of August 18 Atlanta time). Philippine time is +8 hours.

@georgiapeach, those pictures in the airport i posted today was taken yesterday in manila in the afternoon. The bus to vigan was last night. Today they are in Vigan now.

No, peach, those weren't departure pics. According to the witness, all teams move out of the airport at the same time and then raced from there.

No sightings of them yet after Vigan. What I have found are old videos, very short videos, of  Maggie and Parul in a train station in malaysia; and, the singaporean m/m team recieving a clue at a roadside in malaysia also. I don't know if they have been already shared here.

So long do they leave pit stop or appear in any airport ?

Not strange at all.  If they fly via Laoag the best flight is about 2PM, so they would not even get to Taiwan until 7-8PM.

There is no way they can be in Manila before mid afternoon whether they drive or fly. . And we don't know, this could be an extended pitstop even.

Hopefully we might get sightings in Manila...

This one was posted 13 hours ago, which would put it around 4am/Friday Philippine Time:

This latest one was posted 4 hours ago, which would put it around 1pm/Friday Philippine (and Taiwan hehe) Time

It's a video and he says they're filming in caves.

Would there be enough time for teams (or even Allan) to have been released from Vigan and make a flight to another country for them to already start filming this next Leg?  One possibility is they transported them back to Manila during the Pit Stop and were released for the next Leg from somewhere in Metro Manila.

Otherwise, could they still be in the Philippines? There are certainly TAR-worthy caves in nearby Benguet (5-6 hrs away by car) and Cagayan (6-7 hours) provinces.

Going back to the flights from Laoag, today's 2pm Philippine Airlines flight to Manila was delayed 2 and a half hours.  And the Tigerair flight hasn't even departed yet.

So if they are indeed already on the next Leg, the only way for teams to have gotten out of Ilocos already would be on land.

Some possible scenarios:
-Would they do a KOR/TBC Leg after an overnight bus ride?  Get teams racing in Ilocos for a few hours and get them right back on a bus back to Manila?

-Allan left Ilocos immediately after Pit Stop.  Allan's just filming his spiels in the next, non-Philippine location already and the teams have not even arrived in that country yet.

-Teams were transported to Manila during the Pit Stop. Assume they were released 12 hours later (around 11pm-midnight) in order to make morning/midday flights out of Manila.

-Teams are still in the Northern Philippines for a 2nd PH Leg?


Anyway, if they did get out of the country already, that's some amazing, excellent logistical planning right there.

If they really have started filmimg that early, I don't think they had enough time to move out of the Philippines. Or Allan might be just teasing us and that cave is in Malaysia where they previously went to?

The cave looks like man-made to me and it doesn't look like the one in Sagada also. Are there Japanese tunnels in Ilocos? I can't think of any.

But it looks like the Callao Cave in Penablanca, Cagayan only that the ceiling is too low.

It's from instagram. And there is another video from that instagram user of a team rapelling down a building. So this made me figured out that JK and Mike had just finished their rappel when that video was recorded.

ADDITIONAL: Please take note of that piece of paper Mike handed to the guy who in return gave him the clue. Also, in the second video from that instagram user (link is not posted here), the man who was rappelling had a piece of paper also tucked in his lips. You can make assumption of the task they had from here
