I'd also lean towards the Philisi acting as a moving pitstop, it's probably why Zach and Rachel were forced to walk the plank.

BONDI Rescue star Anthony “Harries” Carroll will appear in the hit US television show The Amazing Race next week, helping contestants with an odd but death-defying challenge.

Last December, the Sydney lifeguard travelled to a remote island in Indonesia to meet the final five hopefuls from the current season, taking part in an epic global adventure in a bid to win $1 million. The episode airs next week in America.

“I was up on top of a cliff when they arrived — I taught them pilates and then they had to jump off into the water 20 metres below,” Carroll explained.

“They were looking at me like, what the hell? Pilates? But we wanted them limber and feeling strong before they jumped because it was really high risk.

“A challenge of that calibre hadn’t gone down before.

“Every time one of them jumped off, I had to hold onto a pole and lean out over to look down and check they were OK. I was the back-up guy.

“If they were in trouble I had to jump in and help. I really didn’t want to do that.”

His best mate Paul Shivers is a high-risk scenario expert who consulted on the series and roped Carroll in to help. He was initially brought in to assist with water safety off camera.

“Bondi Rescue is on air in America and it’s done quite well over there,” Carroll said.





“My job initially was to be down in the water as a safety man, but (a producer) recognised me and said they wanted me up on the rock.”

As well as a lifesaver, he’s a pilates expert who runs regular classes outside the Sydney Opera House.

“I spent pretty much two years studying. I’ve probably trained 1000 people over the past year.

“Pilates gives you good stability — it stabilises all your joints, your hips, shoulders and spine, and keeps you elongate and nice and tall.”

He’s not sure which contestant won the Indonesia leg, but said they were all “really lovely”.

“And really hot. I couldn’t believe it — they looked like they were from a Hollywood movie. Just absolutely stunning.”

Bondi Rescue airs Tuesdays at 7.30pm on Ten.

I'm 99% sure that the team picture on the bottom is blurred. Look at the hand of the statue holding it, some part is also blurred because of the blurring.

But the one on the top isn't because it's pretty hard to see even with no blur. Can someone provide more analysis on that picture?

So that coconut task is probably similar to, if not the same as a task from Leg 7 of TARPH2.  (Not surprising since ActiveTV is probably involved in designing this Asian Leg again.)

Each team member had to carry 6 coconuts each over a hanging bridge and deliver them to the "coconut king" who would open the coconut with his mouth and hand them the next clue.  Before crossing the bridge, there was the Voting Yield reveal board.

I'm sorry, I can't get over this. I can't figure out if it's Sheri and Cole or Brodie and Kurt. There's evidence for the u-turn being either of them.  I feel like I'm missing something.

The W-turn summoned Platrium to this thread, albeit late.

Here's what I think:
1. Burnie & Ashley are most likely not U-turned because they are holding their own photo. From the size of it, it doesn't look like a courtesy of photo.
2. I agree that the 1st U-turn has already been used by the time Burnie & Ashley got there, and I also agree that the 2nd pic has been blurred. I'm speculating Brodie & Kurt's photo is on the 2nd slot.
3. I also noticed that Brodie & Kurt appear on both sides of the detour. (Caps 41-42 of 2nd preview) (Caps 24-27 of 1st preview) This is assuming oval's timeline on Reply#4 is accurate.
4. Lastly, even though it was clearly indicated that it's a W-turn (and not a blind one), 2 big slots can only be seen, so I'm speculating on this being a Blind W-turn instead of the non-blind one.

Just got the news: The Suspension Bridge featured in this episode (The Coconut Task), collapsed.

Suspension bridge collapse kills eight in Bali

At least eight people have died and 30 others were injured after a suspension bridge collapsed off the coast of Bali, officials have said.

The Yellow Bridge, which links the Indonesian islands of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan, collapsed at 6.30pm local time.

Police spokesperson Arendra Wahyudi said there were too many people passing over the bridge for a religious ceremony when it gave way.

He added that the water beneath the bridge was less than two meters deep, but many of the victims were crushed by debris.   

A spokesman for the National Disaster Mitigation Agency, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, said three children between the ages of three and nine were among those who died.

Two of those injured were in a serious condition, while the others suffered minor injuries.

Initial reports indicate the victims were all Indonesian.

Mr Nugroho said: "Before the bridge collapsed it was already shaking.

"Some motorcyclists and people fell into the sea, and people in the area immediately tried to save them."

The bridge, which is around 100 metres long and 1.5 metres wide, is used only by pedestrians and motorcyclists.
