At the Detour, Tyler & Korey were all leaders, passing Brodie & Kurt to win the leg!

Scott & Blair overcame a fishy Speed Bump to stay in the Race, while Marty & Hagan caught up but a mistake caused them the Race.

Ten teams remain, who will be eliminated from the Race?

I like the detour, but it was imbalanced. Culture-wise, it's good; leg-design-wise, it's not.

Our spoilers have been inaccurate this time around. I'm also surprised the first 2 teams finished really early this episode.

I like the bags and the roadblock. It's not as challenging as I expected, but I think it's okay to have easy tasks once in a while.

Scott & Blair and Zach & Rachel are being fun and funny at the bus detour. I also like how I finally saw a shade of the models (or at least 1 of them). It's nice to see her help Cole. Matt & Dana's edit though: Why?

This night time part of the leg is great! The intensity of a 4-way race to last at the roadblock is also amazing!

I was gonna say the episode was not bad, but weak. The first 30 minutes of the leg seem linear, with the Top 4 teams being almost consistent from last leg. The first half of the episode was bland.

I think what saved the episode from being weak are the mistakes committed by Darius & Cameron and Zach & Rachel. It was intense! Also, the imbalanced detour saved it. We wouldn't have a dramatic finish had the detours been balanced.

Overall, a pretty solid leg. I thought the Detour was unbalanced (quick tosses vs. persuasion to pay for a bus ride) so I'm not too impressed. Pit Stop editing is still inconsistent-ing me to death. Roadblock ended up being really good especially the challenge of searching for the correct mochillas in the dark. Editing and route has improved bits and pieces over the course of this and the second half of last season though.

Blair is driving me crazy from her screaming and freaking out.

I'm glad we have different leg winners so far. However, I am still disappointed with the absence of the Express Pass.

I like how there's progress of teams shown at the bottom left screen for most tasks, but they should've stayed consistent and did the same for the exploding detour.

Zach & Rachel's mistake almost cost them the race. It was really close, especially when Phil said, "The last team to check in is right behind you." Darius' big mistake could've gotten them an 8th. I thought they were eliminated due to the linearity of the leg when I checked the spoilers, but I'm glad that didn't happen! The way they ended was more dramatic. I wonder what was written in the clue, or I wonder if he misread or didn't read the clue. They were such a good team, but their mistakes have cost them to land at the back of the pack. They were likable, but their mistakes have been more outstanding.

Scott & Blair are being at the back the whole time. I'm almost pretty sure they would probably have gone home if they hadn't beaten Marty & Hagan to the 2nd flight last leg.

Overall, this is a half-bland half-intense episode! I didn't like the first half of the show, but then I understand why they showed the 1st 2 teams checking in so early. The last half was worth seeing, and it was at night!

If it was unused, it was probably because the teams know each other due to the theme of the season, and some of them are friends to even U-turn one another.

Maybe the U-turn would've been interesting if it was with the Top 2 teams.

Also, when Cameron saw where Zach got the clue, he didn't say anything to Darius. I'm thinking he couldn't say it because it's counted as a helping-the-teammate-at-the-roadblock penalty.

And there was very little air time spent on Sheri and Cole, even though they got an unaired penalty that didn't affect their placement, and still well ahead of bottom four teams. They didn't get hardly any last week, either. Are they getting the sneaking up slowly from behind, a little like a turtle, edit?

The first half of the episode was incredibly boring but the second half is where things picked up. It reminds me a lot of TAR 23 Leg 2--also in South America--where the leg wasn't really exciting until night came. Except this Race was complete with the best race to the finish in a while!

Yes, the Detour was unbalanced, but wouldn't it be boring if it was balanced every episode? What would be the point if they took the same amount of time? It's up to the teams to pick the better Detour.

Just a reminder that the teams don't necessarily know if the detour task choices are in balance; they just want the one that is easier and faster for that team to finish. There's no guarantee they will be balanced or not, or fast vs. slow, and most teams are in such a rush these days they often don't think it through, especially if they're provided a supplemental sheet that they can review, but often don't, before choosing.

To me, from a Race perspective, this was a tough and interesting leg. The leg design used cultural elements and locales in their design, and some teams did not pay attention to details. Some teams took advantage of tasks and their skill Sears to improve their placements, Brodie Kurt, Sheri Cole, even with an unforced error and a penalty. Methinks that placement of a double U Turn in this leg was wasted, it was too early and would have been better in another couple of legs.

The biggest shift in placement, and time, goes th Sheri-Cole, especially Cole, who managed to make up time to the pack at the top. The penalty did not help, but it may not matter if all the teams are in a pack together when they leave Columbia.

Tyler is ruining the race. Every place they went they got a confessional(and pit stop sequence) while Jessica and Brittany got no confessionals. Season tainting choices. Only here for Blair. Most ppl are in red.

I have to agree with you. The best part came during night time similar to that of Season 23's Leg 2 in Santiago, Chile. Detour was definitely unbalanced. it would have been better if it was 3 per team member. It would have shuffled placements more. This episode showed a bit more of the teams. Zach not being mad at Rachel despite her miscalculation of the money which put them behind, alliances of Jessica & Brittany and Sheri & Cole, Scott & Blair's enthusiasm of the Race, Erin & Joslyn and Zach & Rachel appreciating the culture of Colombia.  Dana is just a buzzkill. Her out of place bickering with Matt is unbearable. As much as Tyler & Korey are a fun team. They are getting too much airtime. Cameron & Darius are mild and unenthusiastic about the Race. I just wish Marty & Hagan made it further than them.

Totally intense to see Zach/Rachel and Darius/Cameron, glad to see Zach/Rachel survived....

Have to say detour was good but could have been better if it had balanced... The RB was simple but yet mistakes from many team caused good drama...

Still Sheri/Cole, Scott/Blair and Zach/Rachel are my favorites this season

And have to say that this season much much better than 27 we had and seems fingertips all of critics

Another decent Leg.  Definitely the weakest so far, but as everyone else has said, the last 15 / 20 mins were great.

I was expecting another linear Leg, like Leg 3 of S27, with no hope of Darius & Cameron catching up, but thanks to the unbalance of the Detours that was changed. 

Pretty peeved about Darius & Cams elimination, but after Darius making such a mess of the RB, they deserved to be eliminated.  As much as it pains me to say it.

I actually thought this leg was amazing. As a fan, I wanted Zach and Rachel to stay so bad because Darius and Cameron are so mild, uninteresting and totally not into the race. Why did they even freaking pick them to race. They're unfunny, dull and... -_-

Thank God for stupidity at the Roadblock though, which helped it to be an interesting task after all. Love the Detour, but would have loved for each team member to get three Tejo instead of a combined total of three. (TOO EASY)

It is SUPER strange that the vendor accepted his efforts and gave him the next clue. It seems Cole did the detour totally incorrectly!

Dana agrees. Check out her twitter, she was very vocal that this was editing, that things did NOT happen as shown. She was NOT happy with how CBS edited this. Sucks when you suddenly are edited to become the "villain".

We were having such discussions in season one. Ask the Guidos and Rob and Brennan. In fact, if you go to the TAR season one post-season recap interviews Miss Alli did with both teams, it was a substantial topic of discussion. Just watched, great episode. Shocked that the brother really couldn't see the vendor. Detours were pretty uneven but most of the teams that did Tejo were in the front anyway. The roadblock was really good! I loved how the teams were helping each other and then at the end it started to become a little cutthroat when they realized how close they all really were.

I didn't see Max & Katie as villains. As a matter of fact, Pam & Winnie and Chuck were more villain-edited in 22 than them.

I didn't see Max & Katie as villains. As a matter of fact, Pam & Winnie and Chuck were more villain-edited in 22 than them.

They were clearly edited to be villains in the first episode. Though I cannot recall Pam and Winnie doing anything villainous.

Also idk what it is but Dana comes across extremely harsh in her words to Matt. I felt really awkward watching them because he was being stomped on (despite them being able to put it to one side)
