If there was a 'virtual' start instead of a 'normal' start and teams left from different cities--presumably randomly--then given that the flights arrived at different times from different cities, wouldn't that give some teams an inherent advantage just by virtue of which city they were 'selected' to leave from? Alternatively, what if there's some sort of HoO as soon as they arrive in MEX to even things out? (Or, the city they left from was determined from a normal start line, thus any disadvantage due to arrival time in MEX would be due to their performance in a task in LAX.)
