22.36 PMAfter a long-waited day since the morning, our ground crew had finally got a chance to witness the "second time" arrival of TAR 28 to BALI.., so thousands and thousands of thanks and appreciation for their time and effort for today..
Ground crew made it to the international arrival gate at the airport just in-time to catch the teams spread out finding taxis...
the order of teams that got out from the arrival door are as follow (first to last is from left to right) :
From there, ground crew overheard the shootout of destination and then directly head out to Tanah Lot Temple...
Now, here's where the excitement begins..
At Tanah Lot temple, teams picked a number. Matt & Dana were last to arrive there. got a chance to talked to Burnie & Ashley. They said the first team will be released at 06.00 AM but they don't know the task
Here's the order of the arrival from airport to Tanah Lot temple and pick a number... (first to last is from left to right) :
#3 and #4 are UNKNOWN
Now, the mechanism of picking these numbers is that the first 2 teams got an advantage for early release 15 Minutes ahead of the rest... So, yeah, Zach-Rachel and Dana-Matt were the two teams that got the 30 minutes disadvantage...

Dana : ..... airport, so.. and 56 lead together in the morning, so....
*Production ask something, answered by Matt.. *
Matt : they're releasing the teams two at a time in the morning, so... we probably released with the Kings about 30 minutes after the first four teams...
*Production asked : where did you sat on the plane..?*
Dana : we sat in the middle... like the 12th row, right alongside... [here she mentioned one team's nickname]
*Production asked : so you were in the front of the plane... what happened to you?*
Dana : we were actually in the front of the plane, we were actually behind the Frisbee, behind the red... and that's it...
our ground crew went home at almost 1.00 AM to refill their energy for tomorrow's adventure...

05.45 AMGround crew, again, came just in-time for the release, before they are released, there is a task which related to snake and
gebogan (stacked fruit just like the one on TAR 22), they have to carry the
gebogan on their head....
and here are some pics from the starting point (not the pit start), Zach-Rachel and Dana-Matt were released at 06.45 AM , other teams were 30 minutes and 15 minutes ahead of them....
From here... Teams were on-route to their second route info :
Belatung Beach in Klunkung regency, which will lead them to Detour tasks and Speedbump for the last team who checked-in on the last leg...
*Above: Teams were gathering around the clue box before they did the Detour tasks and Speedbump (no exact departure time, the pictures are in random order) ....
The detour task are :
Natural Salt Maker or
Traditional Food Waiter <--- the second one just my made up
In
Natural Salt Maker, each team has to pick up salt from the coast, and then bring them to the draining area, not sure what they are doing next in the draining area, it's either spread the salt or collect them until they reach a certain amount of weight...
Zach and Rachel King was certain took this side of the detour alongside the other...
In
Traditional Food Waiter, each team has to serve a bowl of Bakso, traditional food consist of noodle and meatballs, and sell them to the local people and visitors around Goa Lawah (Lawah cave temple), when they reach a certain amount of earning, they may continue the race..
Only this time they are not pushing the Bakso cart, instead they sell the bakso from the modified-motorcycle bakso stall...
(I find this really funny, still better from the original cart rather than modified-motorcycle food stall)
RoadblockRoadblock location : Mertasari Beach in Sanur....
In this
Roadblock :
Sanur area is famous with kite festival. in this roadblock team member must make/assemble big kite and it should match with the example. it seems this is detail oriented task. Each stand has local people (around 6 people) wearing Balinese cloth. They probably will help the racers to fly the kite after they have finished assembling.Team members who didn't run the task, waiting underneath a big parachute on the side of the beach....
possible Pit Stop location :
Fairmont Beach HotelTeams were on foot-race from the Roadblock site to the possible Pit Stop location, and they might instructed to travel by foot as well...
Apologize if we can only deliver this leg up until roadblock, hopefully we can improve for the better coverage next time...
