This thread is for the weekly discussion of the show!
 
Hopefully some of you from Aus and NZ can update LIVE.
 
To protect those of us who may not be able to watch right away, ANY SPOILERS ESPECIALLY RE ELIMINATIONS should only be discussed in this thread and the weekly EPISODE threads!
 
NO SPOILERS in the contestant threads please! Put Elimination Interviews here for now.

Her we go! 8:52 start.

Previously on TARAus vs NZ, teams were out of tune and out of luck.

A numbers game strengthened nation alliances, but tore Ashleigh & Jarrod apart.

Sally & Tyson led the Aussie boys astray, and teams struggled with some fishy delights.

Newlyweds Ashleigh & Jarrod were last but got a second life.


3 Aus & 2 NZ remain - who will be eliminated next?

Jarrod: At the moment the race is too friendly.

They're worried about language barrier there.

Everyone's on the same flight and everyone looks disappointed Ash & Jarrod survived.

Teams are flying via Frankfurt and arrive at 10:05pm!

After stopping at a bus stop, Cat & jesse's driver is escorting them to the place and seems to be more in this race than anybody else. :lol:

Cat & Jesse and Ashleigh & Jarrod pick up the first two clues.

Take part in an ancient tradition and proceed to Watchman's Keep by collecting two large stones to take there. Teams must correctly answer his question to receive the next clue.

Daniel & Ryan and Sally & Tyson are 3rd and 4th at the task, with Carla & Hereni bringing up the rear.

Carla: We had no idea what the judge was going to ask. I thought he would ask for the correct spelling of Dubrovnik which is pretty hard since I can't say it.

:lol:

Daniel & Ryan and Sally & Tyson are working together to navigate once again.

The five teams are basically running in caravan up the stairs towards the tower.

They guess 160. Wrong.

They must go back and count with rocks in tow!

Ashleigh & Jarrod are running up and think that they need to count stairs during the climb.

All teams head off.

Sally & Tyson will depart at the same time as the other Aus teams.

Carla & Hereni start at 8:45, 15 mins later. Cat & Jesse start at 9am.

SPEED BUMp: Croatia is the home of the neck tie. They must each do a particular tie on each other to complete the Speed Bump.

Sally & Tyson get to a Roadblock clue after the Speed Bump.

Who's always looking ahead?

Fort Boca is one of the oldest preserved forts of its kind. In this Roadblock, one person must abseil down its impenetrable walls.

Sally will perform it!

Daniel & Ryan get to the monastery - collect marked prayer cards from three of the churches in the town and deliver them to the town barber before completing the second part of the task - head shaving in a weird haircut thingy, not completely shaved? :crazy:

Sally is staring down the fortress and conjures up the courage to climb down. She has a bumpy ride down and can't find her vertical footing.

Ashleigh & Jarrod are still at the Speed Bump with Jarrod getting the tie done! They are off looking for the Roadblock clue while Daniel & Ryan struggle with their blind cathedral search.

Sally is nearing the bottom.

AShleigh & Jarrod narrowly beat Carla & Hereni to the RB clue. Ashleigh and Carla will perform this.

At 9am, Cat & Jesse can begin the leg.

Sally & Tyson run off just as Ashleigh & Jarrod get to he task.

Daniel & Ryan are somewhat lost but they get to a cathedral and find their first prayer card... and their second one!

Ashleigh commences the abseil. Hereni is relieved she doesn't have to do this, having a fear of heights. Carla begins the task as well.

Daniel & Ryan arrive at the barber shop with 2 prayer cards having to pass by there and notice it is a barber (they weren't informed of this before).

Meanwhile Ashleigh descends and they run off behind Sally & Tyson. Carla completes the task too and they head off.

Daniel & Ryan find their third prayer card and will need to 'show their devotion in a traditional way'.

Daniel: I'd rather get tortured.

They're contemplating whether or not to do this. Daniel has been growing his hair for 6 years.

The hairstyle they will get is a bizarre one too - it's like a circular ring around the head... :crazy:

Cat: Abseiling and rop-climbing is not what we do normally.

Jesse is struggling.

Jesse: Did I look good?
Cat: It was... interesting.

Jesse: Some encouragement?
Cat: I don't know what to say.
Jesse: Just yell "go fatso" or something!

Daniel & Ryan are still looking for the Pit Stop location and unable to find it. They can't find Fort St Lawrence. But they get some directions.

Meanwhile Jesse is struggling to make any progress but he is fighting to at least finish it.
