This thread is for the weekly discussion of the show!
 
Hoping to have some Aus and NZ LIVE updates.
 
To protect those of us who may not be able to watch right away, ANY SPOILERS ESPECIALLY RE ELIMINATIONS should only be discussed in this thread and the weekly EPISODE threads!
 
NO SPOILERS in the contestant threads please! Put Elimination Interviews here for now.

Off and running! Previously on TAR Aus vs NZ, for the first  time two nations went head to head and battle lines were drawn!

There were highs and lows, but John & Murray won on home turf! *two EPs*

A simple mistake cost Aussies Inga & Tiharna dearly.

4 Aus & 5 NZ remain! Who will be eliminated next?

John & Murray arrived first and should be first to depart, but have failed to arrive at the Pit Start on time, they overslept!

Fly to Siem Reap, Cambodia - go to the Old Market area and sample some local tarantulas!

Carla & Hereni in the lead, Emily & Jono depart 2nd at 2:23am!

3:16am - Daniel & Ryan depart 3rd
3:19am - Elizabeth & Todd depart 4th

One of the nurses had been to Cambodia first.

John & Murray are up an HOUR late. They will depart 5th!  :groan:

3:22am they depart, an hour behind Carla & Hereni. Apparently it was a strategy of oversleeping since everyone's gonna wait at that airport!

The rest of the pack departs and everyone is off to the airport.

Aston & Christie are struggling with sleep deprivation already.

Everyone at the airport thinks John & Murray are here to win at all costs and the nurses comment that they are very arrogant.

Two flights via Sydney & Melbourne to Siem Reap arriving at the same time!

We are in Cambodia! Off to the Old Market of Siem Reap.

They will sample "seven Cambodian delicacies" - i.e. 7 tarantulas. :lol: :funny:

Sally & Tyson are out second!

Teams have to wear digital step counters throughout the leg, not sure why...

Cat & Jesse arrive 4th at the tarantulas and are freaking out. John & Murray arrive next and are racing through. Emily & Jono, Daniel & Ryan are here too.

John & Murray are done in 3rd!

Ashleigh & Jarrod appear lost in their tuktuk.

Emily & Jono have gone all the way to Angkor Wat without buying a ticket back at where they were supposed to buy them.

Aston & Christie start eating.

They are finally done and out of there.

Emily & Jono: "Purchase a ticket at the ticket information booth."

John & Murray arrive at the Information Centre first - doesn't open until 8am the next morning!

But John & Murray race off in a tuktuk to leave Elizabeth & Todd thinking that they got in before it closed! :lol: They are doing their "psychological warfare".

We are back!

More scenes of John & Murray racing off leaving the mother/son in despair.

Daniel & Ryan arrive and they realise there is no way that the boys arrived before it closed.

All the teams arrive one by one. Emily & JOno finally arrive back to the ticket centre and are relieved that they are equalised.

Everyone gets tickets and pedometers to count steps. Jesse: "If they were close to matching, they could win a bonus." Not too sure what this is all about.

Aston & Christie say that Elizabeth is a dirty player - she was telling their driver something I think.

Sally & Tyson arrive first at Angkor Wat. Elizabeth & Todd are walking along and being overtaken.

Everyone is racing and Emily takes a fall. Cat & Jesse stop to help her up. <3 :hrt:

Cat: You don't want to see a Kiwi team hurt.

Sally & Tyson get to the Roadblock in first place!

Who is the zen master?

They must count the number of monks wearing yellow and red prayer beads before getting a blessing and climbing the stairs. They must pick which monk to tell their answer too but onto 1 of the 2 monks will give them a clue, the other will trick them ???

Ash & Jarrod arrive 2nd at the task, Daniel & Ryan are 3rd.

The monks are walking around making it the whole way.

Tyson, Jarrod and Daniel make a Final 3 pact. :lol:

Jarrod: We're sick of the Kiwis winning everything.

Ashleigh goes up with an answer and she is wrong. She goes down.

Elizabeth & Todd arrive 4th. Cat & Jesse and Emily & Jono are 5th and 6th meaning all Aus teams are ahead this time!

John & Murray contemplate an EP use. Elizabeth is doing the Roadblock.

Sally, Ashleigh and Ryan start discussing answers and ruling out possibilities and working together.

The problem is that they are all telling answers to a different monk so I'm not sure how methodical this is! :lol:

John & Murray run up the stairs together without counting. They hand over the Express Pass to skip it.

Ryan: I would think people would use the EP to do a task that they physically cannot do.

Travel by tuktuk to Tjoup Snae Restaurant and take a reading from their step counters to receive their next clue!

The EP users race off in the lead. More "psychological warfare".
Carla & Hereni are still searching for the RB clue.
