Race started about a month ago. Ie. A longer race. Tomorrow would be 1 year exactly from when TARCAN 1 finished.

Another thing to consider about the pics from Parliament Hill. People just can't run in and out of Centre Block like that. If you have ever been there, even as a tourist, there is some pretty difficult security to go through. If you notice in the other pics, there are police cars blocking traffic. That first pic had no police cars...they showed up later with the teams.

Maybe you're right, in the first pic from Moelepage, the clue box seems still to be covered by black cloth. And also, the position of cluebox is different.

Seems like Season 2's going to be a full-fledged race with 11 teams, from the sounds of it.

Can the cluebox position tell us the decoys?

We have not seen any teams but the final 3 racing since the airport, right? My guess is they used decoys at the airport, but not after.

I think based on sightings, we have our final three.

Have we really seen 11 teams?? I think maybe 10? ???

If someone could PLEASE do a summary post of each team with all the pics we have for that team in the contestant thread, I expect we could sort this out PDQ. I can't do it right now...RL in the way....

If it is too much for one of you, split it up and we'll add a summary.

I think there was a memory task some where.
Here's how i think it played out
Hockey wins
Pete and mickey get 2nd
Rob and ryan are 3rd.

If the memory task is hard then I can easily see rob and ryan getting second or even 1st.
To me, pete and mickey don't seem like the type of people good with memory.

Anyways, not really satisfied with this year's top 4.

I think I have watched enough amazing races to make a good guess at who is good at memory or not.

Last year, Tim & Tim made a great come back with memory RB and won so we cannot really say anything about who the winner is. And why are you not satisfied with final 4 by reading only spoilers? We don't even know how good they are as racers and how their personalities are.

To me
Rob and ryan look like the next zev and justin
Pete and mickey look lovable or annoying
Indian couple looks like they fight a lot or need to learn how to communicate
Hockey seems very competitive

I would have preferred something else

We don't even know if there was a memory challenge this year. Plus sometimes there is a physical component to the memory challenge. There are always variables. Consider the Tims last year...Tim Sr would not have remembered the flags and flowers if his wife hadn't tipped him off before he left. This played such a huge roll in their winning and production is well aware of this. Probably all these S2 teams as well. They could have studied everything along the way and production decided not to have one! But I do agree with Leafsfan, that sounds more like a wish list.

Pete & Mickey I can see being another Jet & Dave (which is what you'd call the "alpha male" team when categorizing racers), but what do you mean about Rob & Ryan being like Zev & Justin?

Let's pass on making judgements based on appearances, since we have yet to hear any of them utter a word.  :groan: :funny:

I may know this couple. If it is them, they are adorable and very smart in real life. I've known him for the last 16 years and was at their wedding about 7 years ago. He and his wife moved away a few years from Calgary to Edmonton so we've lost touch. I am so hoping that it is them. Yeah me for once maybe knowing someone! Maybe. Not posting names in case I jeopardize them in any way.

I think last year they started to identify the teams only 3 or 4 weeks after filming ended, so we will find out soon!

If this is how it turns out, it sounds great to me. We'd have the first parent/child winners in the franchise (which Tim Sr. has been adamant about pointing out :P ) followed by an all-female winner. The American version's only had two of those.

And since the person who recognized Rob & Ryan said one of them had a cancer-related backstory, it'd be nice to see them in the final 3, as well.

We don't know the challenge in Museum of Nature is the last challenge or not and also, anything can happen in the way to the finish line.

Looks like Natalie's back on Twitter after a month's absence :) I take it we have no sightings of the finish line, wherever it was.

I came upon this interesting tweet:
Amanda ‏@amanacondaa May 21
they were filming a chevrolet commercial on major's hill park this evening. what are the stats for pick-up truck owners in ottawa?
3:32 PM - 21 May 2014

This was the night before the final leg was filmed. Major's Hill Park is on a bump out of land between the Parliament Buildings and the National Gallery. It is a very iconic spot to take pictures, especially when the tulips are in bloom (which they were), because the Parliament buildings serve as a back drop. Chevrolet is a sponsor again this year. The prizes have not been announced yet. I am not saying this could be the finish line, but it could make for a nice "money shot". I just thought it would be worth posting just in case.

Could be part of the opening titles, they like to have iconic scenes of the places they go.  :waves:
