In Caps 21 & 24 if you look closely in the background, you can see that Jason, Marie, Travis, and Jamal are waiting out on their teammates.

Roadblock-ers:
Travis & Nicole
Tim & Marie
Leo & Jamal
Jason & Amy

35 & 36 it appears that it's just Travis and Jason left.. no signs of the blondes at the Roadblock just yet.

Caps 3-10 are in Terminal 3 of Abu Dhabi International Airport. The picture on the first part of the caps preview shows Travis standing up upon talking with Jamal and having an airport drama.

so....

can we safely assume that this leg is the one with an elimination in the end, right?  :funny:

one thing that I love about an Indonesian leg is that it's always intense ...
and several strong teams somehow were sent home in Indonesia...
The survivor winners, Daniel and Amy, Jessica and John!!!

maybe we could finally get rid of Travis and Nicole in this leg
LOL Just Kidding!!! :funny:
still looking forward!!!  :)

Based on the preview, I can assumed that the Roadblock included arranging the Angklungs based on their notes (C-C'), because one Angklung has only one sound and the wooden rack is a typical rack for arranging Angklung that way.

I said it because I was an Angklung player when I'm in the junior high  ;):-[

oh... and playing Angklung isn't as easy as it looks   :funny:

OHHH Now I see the Angklung task lol  :cheer:
Well, if you can't figure out how to play it, it'll be hard to sort it... It's kinda interesting that people who never touch/play angklung before, never figure out how to play it, and must sort it...
And yes Nicole seems very frustrated  :groan:

So there is no the other detour at Pasar Simpang?
I didn't see them doing the detour :'(

I'm an Indonesian too, i spent my highschool joining the Traditional Ensemble team, though i never was the Angklung player, but i thought we can arrange it just by looking at the size?? from small-big?? so it should not be that hard...or is it?

I once visited Saung Angklung Udjo back in Elementary School during a field trip lol

this should be one of the most interesting Roadblock in Indonesia besides couting Buddha statue in Season 19 which is in my opinion VERY VERY HARD. I don't even study that in History during high school lol

It's not always that way. Low notes angklung are sometimes smaller than the high notes ones.

Maybe it's in the observatory itself. I remember when I visited it years ago, when we're entering the observatory there was a hallway full of books and posters of astronomical things.

Are they? I believe they took marked taxis all day. Maybe it's like Dhaka's train being used on TAR21's footage.

Edited: yeah, you might be right. I saw they're using different taxis to the pit stop. You saw them at Bandung Station too?

Bandung was extensively spoiled by our friends there on the ground. You can read all about it in the LIVE thread starting here:

I notice that this leg is highly going to be a NEL or a KOR ...

But my gut keeps telling me that this leg is gonna end with an elimination in the end...

Well, we'll see  :hearts:

actually on July 26th (one month after Bandung leg was filmed), i flew to Bandung and visited Saung Angklung Udjo (SAU), watching the angklung performance.  i was hypnotized by the kids ( the angklung performers) and forgot my main purpose: asking information about the roadblock  :groan: :groan: :tantrum :tantrum :tantrum
based on Bandung teams (although they weren't sure because they couldn't enter the stage), racer must arrange the angklung from C to C'. and if we see the press pics from CBS, they were right  :)
here are some pics that i took from the stage (sorry for bad quality)

The first picture (with Tim & Marie) looks to me to be at the Saung Angklung Udjo.
The vegetation (bamboo and palms) match.

So the detour is for the birds and for the elephant. Maybe both the detour must go to bandung zoo and bring from dago simpang market?
Still confused ._.

Ah so they will ride a taxi in Bandung, i don't live in Bandung but my friends who study there said that taxi is not safe and not recommended to travel in Bandung because the driver will cheat on the fares, a lot of them don't use taxi fare meters so the drivers will give a high price.

Though i believe this condition possibly happens a lot in TAR they just don't show it and probably the racers don't understand and just pay lol

I doubt ever seeing a self-drive in an Indonesia leg, i really anticipate this tbh

Driving in Bandung is unsafe, with many narrow, one way streets, and "angkot" everywhere. But I know this is gonna create drama <3333 Asian countries they allowed to self-drive is only Japan & Middle East countries & Borneo part of Malaysia?

Ohh sweet... the other Detour location located far away from the other one...  :oh :oh :oh

Pasar burung Sukahaji for "the birds" choice and Bandung city zoo for "the elephant" choice,

so apparently, Ice king girls choose "the elephant" and had to bring bananas, fruits, sugarcane (this is what to believed carrying plants from the LIVE sighting thread I posted before), bring those food to the elephant cage and feed them? also we had missing wheelbarrel, and the afghanimals also choose this one I think...

Distance between Pasar Burung Sukahaji and Bandung Zoo is about 45minutes with intense traffic jam at that time...

Ice king girls are sure pushed down below if they decided to switch detour :(

In Detour B, Married ER Doctors Nicole (left) and Travis (right) must pick up two birds at the Pasar Burung Sukahaji Bird Market then transport them to the Sumber Sari Bird Arena and encourage them to sing in order to receive the next clue on THE AMAZING RACE

->> Now please note that the Route Info clue Travis holding is the clue that they got after finishing the Detour...

This is the most important part..!!

We don't know for sure whether it's an Elimination or Non-Elimmination Leg yet..

But as our units observed there, there's a chance that the last team survived the leg, this is based on some scenarios :

1. The Leg is clearly a NEL
2. Tim & Marie and the Interracial Couple arrived at the Pit Stop NOT BY A TAXI, this could possibly resulted in a penalty for both teams..
3. Usually having 2 Legs in the same country and final 5 could be a NEL

Just curious , If they didn't arrive by taxi , how did they arrive ?

Oh yeah, totally forgot about the one-way street  :funny:
let's just say the taxi took the wrong turn, they need to travel all the way back then right? not to mention the traffic lol.
ah yeah angkot is the very problem too in jakarta, and motorcyle made it worse and it is actually worse than angkot

So then, both detour is quite far.....

so from Bandung station, they choose north or south-> north to Bandung Zoo & Dago Market
south to Pasar Burung Sukahaji -> Sumber Sari Park.

Kinda interesting that both detours require teams to transport thing. I'm looking for the bird detour... It's interesting to watch :))

What I'm really :( is that Ally & Ashley choose to change the detour, While Bandung Zoo & Dago Market is quite near... and both detour is very far...
But what I'm thinking is if there is a wheelbarrow in bandung zoo, then why ally ashley don't use them to transport it from the market?  :ascared

Cannot believe how much my opinion of teams just changed throughout that episode. I no longer want Nicole/Travis to win (Travis more so), Tim/Marie are now my favourites and I wont mind if (when...?) Boston win. More so, I'm now quite glad the Afghanimals are back for S24.

Don't know how the Ice Queens managed to blow an hour lead though... :groan:

very frustrating episode.

Im glad that amy worked with  Nicole ( ER docs) that was nice  of them.

I'm so glad that Marie was insisting on Tim doing the detour.

I cant imagine the frustration  if any of them were tone deaf.

And the fact that the taxi denied NHL team to put the sugar cane in the car :ugot what's up with that?

 I found it very frustrating.

I miss all the hard core  challenges they had in the past. .. How bout a good ol "PENCILS DOWN"  :lol3:

I think the ice girls also didn't figure out a way to put the sugarcane in the taxi.. Let's just say the Detour killed them. Had they done birds, it might be Nicole and Travis we say Byebye to.

I agree the ice girls ineffectiveness at the road block cost them the game.I could not believe that they did not try to force the sugarcane or change taxis then. For a girl girl team I would have thought the birds sounded easier, but the lure of the elephant. I loved Tim and Marie's thinking it through and realizing that music was more Tim's thing.I t was nice of Amy to help Nicole, but was it the wrong choice. The Docs would probably have been eliminated.

i personally don't think that what Nicole tried to do was cheating, because it wasn't against the rule.. you can do anything to get the task done as long as it's not against the rule.. same as lying, it's just part of strategy..

so i think Tracole kept their words, not to cheat and lie, because it wasn't cheating..

Begging for help is acceptable, going to the judge area to look at someone's work that has been approved? I'm surprised she didn't get penalty. One of the ice girls said u cant leave the arena when the instrument is built.

Maybe we jut saw it from different perspective.. if u watch the Bali leg, its like u cant look at the surfboard that has been APPROVED. I still even call Connor's cheating was fair because Winnie hasnt submitted it to the judge.

I remember there was some concern at the time from the ground crew about Travis/Nicole arriving not by taxi? Are unmarked cars allowed to work as taxis? Would there be any penalty concern for using one?

I've just watched the video again and the clue only stated "make your way to your next pit stop, the Bosscha Observatory in Lembang". It doesn't said specific have to use taxi. So, that's why no penalty given, huh!   :noway:

I've just hoping it was a NEL leg so that could see Ashley & Ally eating the Cobra   :conf:

very frustrating episode.

Of they chose for the birds, ashley and ally is 100% team #1 since they finished the RB within 10 minutes only.
