That would mean that Jennifer and Justin are off course, turning right at Reitstrasse for Balzers Castle instead of heading straight to the border? But Jennifer with a map points back North to where they need to go. Strange?

Also, why TWO arrows each?

Heres a thought: maybe they have to measure the distance both N-S and E-W.

SIGH.

In the "if we had only known category", here are some great webcams. You can search back to Dec 7.

And the glacier tours will be great for next week!! :yess:

Just like being there!!

http://www.zermatt.ch/en/page.cfm/service/webcams

Do you have any suggestions on which webcam?

I've looked at all of them, these are lots of fun! Too bad we couldn't have watched live!! **remembers kayaks**

But the Interactive videos of Zermatt are the best...really like walking around the town!

Black arrows = start measuring = Feldkirk border crossing
Red arrows = stop measuring = Belzars border crossing

That's perfectly legit, but where does Balzers Castle come in then?
Also, Jennifer points away from the "red arrows" and towards Balzers Castle when directing Justin.

I think maybe they have to "report in" to Balzers Castle after measuring. I think it may be posible they pick up the mopeds at Schaanwald, then go back to the border crossing and start measuring...........then end measuring at the Balzers border crossing. Then go to Balzers Castle to turn in milage and moped and get route info to Zermatt.

In that screencap of Jennifer at the Balzers border crossing......it didnt look like there was anyone there to meet her or to turn in the moped too. That might take place at the castle.

That location of Jennifer and Justin on Reitstrasse, to me, looks like they are trying to find their way up to the castle AFTER finishing the measuring.

Jennifer is pretty good with maps. In Season 14, when they were in Munich, Jennifer was in the back seat with maps trying to tell Kisha where to go. Kisha wouldnt listen to her and they ended up driving on one of the ring roads and wasted a lot of time. If Kisha had paid attention to Jennifer, they would have cut across the city on another autobahn on a clear shortcut.

Gary looks pretty happy in the new promo.  Probably tickled pink that the speedbump is done and he is seeing other racers doing the roadblock! Gives him hope and the extra push he needs to forge ahead.  If he does have experience with biking it also means he has experience in reading the maps.  I wouldn't be surprised if he did do this on the first try.
:geekon:  <Love that smiley! LOL

One might assume that the Cowboys struggled with the luggage but there are several teams they did not show doing the detour.  I am going to say that Zev & Justin struggle with the fondue and Jet/Cord were U-Turned and another team struggled with the luggage... Kent/Vxysin I hope!  :snicker:

Longtime lurker-following you guys is more fun and interesting than watching the show.  The RB to me seems to be just an old-fashioned road rally but on mopeds.  Call it measuring Liechenstein or what but it has the mark of a STD Road Rally, that is speed, time and distance.   Where you follow a set course with check points, but have to maintain a certain speed to make the distance in the time allow or you would be penalized.  There is one cap where Gary is handing off or getting a card from someone or thing.   Think of a poker run event.

This fountain was dedicated to Ulrich Inderbinen, a famous Swiss mountain climber who climbed the Matterhorn many times (this information is from Neobie and Slowhatch, not me).
Neobie said he thought this might be a Pit Stop. Is that what you mean, Peach?

I think it may be posible they pick up the mopeds at Schaanwald, then go back to the border crossing and start measuring...........then end measuring at the Balzers border crossing.

This seems to be the most likely thing.  The route I laid out was based on the promo map thing, but the map that Vyxsen is holding goes border to border. (That makes sense if they're measuring the length.)  Their route is a little different from the one in that video which goes from the bridge to Sargans (as can be seen in Neobie's map) to border crossing near Schaanwald (right start point).   And the small red/white circle is probably where they go pick up their mopeds as was speculated.  Google says it's 10.3 km from border to gas station, so Gary would be quite close.  Maybe they forgot to measure the zillion roundabouts.  Either way seems way closer than Jet's 17km and hopefully that means good things for Gary and Mal Mal.

---

peach if the castle is where they go after the measurement, would both team members be going up there as we Jet and Cord doing in the earlier cap?  Now that I think about it, that's similar to first roadblock in that they finished the puzzle and then had to go and give the answer as a team and I'm sure there are a lot of other similar examples, but just seemed a little odd.

---
And now I've the Lonely Goatherd stuck in my head.  I think it means only one team gets U-Turned.  :neener:  Just kidding.  I've not thought about it much.
