Now my question that might actually need it's own thread.
Would The Amazing Race benefit itself of having only 10 teams instead of 11?

That was season 8 and led to more NELs and not fewer. Too many NELs tend to take the frantic energy out of NEL legs.

Family Edition is something on its own. You can't really compare it to that experimental season.
But yeah more NELs to me would be fine considering we now have more KOR legs or TBC legs. More budget for challenges, more screen time for teams going home early. Just a thought though. It would go against something stablished in the first season but I think the race has done worst things.

10-team races happened on some international versions of TAR. I didn't really like the fact that only 10 teams were racing.

Is Tiffany & Krista's average placing by leg 5 the lowest in history? (compared to the results of teams by Leg 5 of the past races)
Their average placing is like... 7.40?

10-team races happen on most international versions, and it's generally lackluster. Then, consider the international versions who have had only 9 teams, and the three terrible ones that only had 8 teams...

Has there any team who made final 3 but never entered Top 3 until Leg 11/penultimate leg? Wait, I forgot Andrew & Dan from TAR 13 lol. So whose team are other than them?

Do you count f4 nels as penultimate?
If so, then Lyn & karlyn (s10) and josh & brent (s21) also fit both of them get the first top 3 finish in the f4 nel

No. Penultimate leg means the last leg before the finale. So maybe Andrew & Dan is only one, I researched. Too lazy to find out again.

Which are the teams that have placements that strictly increase/decrease by 1 over consecutive legs for at least 4 legs? For example, Jo Jer and Zabrina and Eric and Danielle placed 4-3-2-1 in the final 4 legs of their respective seasons.

Has any team managed to place 1-2-3-4 or something similar to that?

Copying from Logan & Chris' thread:

Leg 1: UTR
Leg 2: UTR Positive
Leg 3: MOR (some arguing at the start then generally happy for the rest of the leg)
Leg 4: UTR Positive (I don't remember anything but them arguing a bit at the start then Logan was so OTTP about the Roadblock)
Leg 5: OTTN

I love their edit  <3

Can someone explain what do these UTR, MOR, OTTN mean? Are there other terms except those three?

UTR - Under The Radar
MOR - Middle Of the Road
OTTN - Over The Top Negative

I have only seen these terms (along with INV - Invisible & CP - Complex Personality) being used for Survivor in evaluating the castaways' edits to determine their probable story arc and/or winning possibility. The Survivor analysis is called Edgic (derived from Edit + Logic). :)

I think Meredith&Gretchen in season 7 first claimed themselves as superfans
But the first 'official' superfans team should be Gary&Wil from season 21

On how many occasions do we have a detour/roadblock in the very first clue of the leg?

From what I can recall...

Detour: TAR 1 Leg 7
Roadblock: TAR27 Leg 6

TAR 11 Leg 12
Oswald: No, I'm just kidding.

;)

For serious though, the last leg of TAR France. The host gave it to them as they checked in.

Any team from any season who had the biggest mistake of flying on an entirely different country than where they're supposed to go?

It was David & Jeff from TAR 4. In finale leg, they mistakenly booked a flight to Sydney instead of Tokyo in order to get flight connections to Honolulu then go to Phoenix.

Trey & Lexi almost flew to Paris instead of Amsterdam?

I feel like production would stop a team from flying to the completely wrong place tbh...

Paul & Amie almost got a boat to Turkey, and Kevin & Drew almost got a boat to Algeria.

Debbie & Dana from TAR Israel 3 actually BOUGHT tickets to London before realizing they were supposed to go to Paris.
