There's no need to be sorry. I'm just a little embarrassed. It's not anything important.

I like the indication that this group seem to like one another.  I'm always displeased when a season's Racers end up not getting along.  They all got to share in a rare experience that many of us are jealous of, and I'd like to be able to think that they've bonded on that shared experience.

Harem!!     I behaved myself!

I'm so bad at faces.  I thought the 6th and 5th from the right were Nat & Kat.  Yes?  No?   :duno:

1st impression:  Mallory is explosively awesome  :hearts:

This melon was moving at 33 mph or 45 feet per second (assumes planet Earth).

Based on a range of 50 feet to a 6-foot tall knight and a firing angle of about 22 degrees.  That velocity means the melon would travel 19 inches for each video frame.  Which seems to match the slow mo frames that we saw.

Just my opinion but I think the task was poorly thought out.   :umn:

And here is the reason why:

The melon was free to rotate in its sling.  It could be prevented by having the bungee lines connect to four corners of the sling.

:res:  A little later on ... On rewatch I saw that the slings were tied in the four corners after all.   :duno:  So it looks like the unfortunate incident was a result of getting the sling tangled as she pulled it back.   :carryon:

so...was it negligence from WRP, or does this fall under the risks the racers are willing to take?
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move

When you grow up launching water balloons at football games (me) you learn what works and what does not work.

Maybe it was an intended possible outcome.  It would not be the first time tasks were designed to have equipment failures (eg cheese wheel carriers).
