Grant Bowler, from NZ Outrageous Fortune? O.K, I haven't seen him host a Reality TV Show...apart from Border Security, he seems like a different choice, but I'm sure he'll do well!

I am really happy that Grant Bowler is the host of The Amazing Race Australia.. He was fantastic on The Mole and i know that he will be great on The Amazing Race.. Thank goodness it was not a football player or some other seven personality!! :D

Jetstar airlines do a lot of advertising on Channel 7. Considering they all went to Bali on Jetstar (possibly they did a commerical deal with them), I am going to predict that they will come back to Australia on Jetstar in the final leg. Possible destinations before they come back to Australia are, Osaka, Tokyo, Ho Chi Min, Phuket, Bangkok, Singapore, Honolulu, Christchurch, Auckland, Fiji. Considering they are already in Asia now, they could come through USA, or New Zealand.

I'm thinking since it has been Melbourne to Bali then it would be 2nd last stop mainland USA then Hawaii/New Zealand (or both) and to Sydney OR Brisbane to finish.

I've been wanting to see a foreign TAR franchise to a leg in mainland USA for so long. I really hope we get to see that. :)

What do you think these are? Could these possibly be backpacks?

I am so excited to see that the race has kicked off! I really hope that this show is a success and lasts for many years, because I intend to send in my application on my 21st birthday, as a massive and crazed fan of this show! :wohoo:

Good luck to the Aussie racers, and I hope they come to Sydney for the finale and I hope I can catch a glimpse of them! :duno:

Can't wait to follow the great sleuth-work on this site, and I can't wait to see how much y'all will recover on this! :hearts:

The restaurant mentioned in the spoiler thread, along with the Nelson Mandela Gateway.

Also located nearby is the Cape Town Stadium, which played a part in hosting the World Cup. However, I believe the Mandela Gateway is what teams were searching for.

Since there are currently no sighting in J-burg, I speculated that maybe the just flew into J-burg and then went into the more rural surrounding areas. Sound logical?

Possibly. Maybe some safari type task on a private game park?

Look at the picture on the mat, too. It's Australia-centered, rather than the typical world map Americans tend to think of.

Cape Town.
Hi Peach, are you saying they may not have stopped to do a leg in or around Jo'berg and gone straight to Cape Town instead?

I think you have to consider that as a possibility anyway? No sightings in Jo-berg and tons in Capetown? :duno:

Anyone looked into flights from Jo-berg to Capetown based on what we know and see what times they could arrive?

Work to be done..

Well there is evidence they arrived in "Africa" on 13th of November. Then spotted in Cape Town airport on the 15th. Thats a two day gap since they arrived. Surely a leg in between?

Also source said teams were asking for tickets to Jo'berg in Macau. They would normally ask for tickets to final destination if they wanted to go to Cape Town.  :duno:

However to get to Cape Town, the best possible location for a connection is Jo'burg. I'll look into the flight situation.

Yes I totally understand that but if they were spotted in Macau on the 10th and Cape Town airport itself on the 15th thats  a big gap.

There's no TV Screen Of Location Identification at the TAR Asia Pit Stops either, and it looks like they're just filming Grant's "teams must now make their way to the Pit Stop" thing, rather than a team arriving, thus meaning a Greeter isn't necessary.

We have some behind the scenes evidence that there is a greeter for this leg.

And after reviewing the time frames, agree that there should be another leg before Capetown.
