Fox News is going back and forth between 7.9 and 8.3, in case you guys want to know.

EDIT: Fox News confirms that the earthquake is indeed upgraded to 8.3 on the scale.

I thought that when we fought, I was to blame
Now I know you play a different game
I've seen you dance with danger; still wanting more

Aftershocks are being reported. People are still moving up to higher ground. Hawaii is being told to stay alert for sirens.

It's between 7 - 8 in the morning over there in American Samoa right now.

That's pretty close. Still, I pray that there's no fatalities with this.

I was too coming here to say this because the tsunami was possibly coming NZ's way too but never mind. Good that Survivor has left but I pray everyone is fine and well too

The Samoa Quake: Will It Impact 'Survivor'?

From the Getting Our Priorities Straight File:

Today's massive earthquake in American Samoa won't have any impact on the upcoming 20th season of "Survivor."

While CBS has never officially announced it, it's been widely reported that the next edition of the series -- an all-star edition designed to mark the show's 10th anniversary next year -- is set in the nation of Samoa. (The season now airing is also set in Samoa.)

But fans of the franchise worried that Sue Hawk or Rupert the Pirate might have been harmed in the quake can rest easy. The taping of season 20 of "Survivor" wrapped earlier this month, well before the earthquake.

In addition, a CBS rep confirms that "Survivor" crew members still on the island are all "doing fine" and weren't harmed in the wake of the quake.

It helped that  the temblor struck American Samoa, while the CBS show films in the nearby nation of Samoa.

My heart goes out to those who perished in the 10 foot tsunami in Samoa. :(

And yes, tremors were felt here, Japan (1000kms away even!), Vietnam and many SEA Countries. I didn't feel the EQ, but i daresay it seems pretty serious...

I feel so bad for all those effected by the tsunami.   :(

It will change the way I view this season and next, after seeing the devistation on the news clips.  It's sort of like looking at my photo albums or seeing a movie made prior to 9-11 and seeing the towers up.
