Wow a lot of businessmen! But aside from that, their backgrounds seem more diverse than the cast from the other franchises.

They really need to cut down on the number of Mexican teams for the next season, though.

Route Info: Identify the glyphs of the four elements. Find the four glyphs representing the four classical elements accoding to the mayans, hidden amongst hundreds.

Lily & Toño are first

Route Info: Drive to the Mundo Maya airport, you got $60 USD for this leg of the race

Carlos and Mauricio 2nd
Esteban and Marisol 3rd

(only the first three teams will get on the first flight or something, for on the second and the rest on the last)

*skips lots of teams*

Mauricio and Mariana are last, one of the dating teams falls and begins to bicker and curse

It's pouring rain

Carlos & Mauricio
Lili & Toño
Esteban and Marisol on Flight 1

Flight 2
brazil, argentina, marietta and jose and the edisons

Flights are to guatemala city

Route Info: Take a Chicken Bus to Antigua, Guatemala to the Arch of the St. Catarina convent

(They got better-looking clueboxes this season)

Route Info: Travel on foot to Porta Antigua hotel and register for a night rest or something

Susy & Stefani are last to arrive to the hotel with a huge storm pouring on them

teams receive their next clue according to the arrival order the previous night

Route Info: Find the cathedral of St. José

Detour:
A tus manos (by hand): hand-wash 10 kg of dirty laundru
A tus pies (by foot): make a saw-dust carpet

Susy & Stefanu are almost 2 hours behind and are the only ones to choose "A tus pies" and the gamble pays off, they recover from their two-hour disadvantage and are team number one

Route Info: travel by shuttle to the market of Chichicastenango

The first shuttle leaves with the peruan girls and the married mexican couple

The market is supposed to be the place where the Popol Vuh was found

The race flag (blue and black) is elegantly hidden amongst the crafts

Jelkin & Javier are team number one but bickering

Roadblock: "Who's the better ethnologist?"
Find a couple wearing typical costumes hidden inside the market

Esteban and Marisol open their RB clue before choosing who does the Roadblock

The Brazilians and Argentinians perform the RB without splitting up (both teams in pairs)

Jelkin finishes the RB first.

Route Info: travel by public transportation to Panajachel.

Go to the Panajachel Harbor

Brazilians are second to finish RB, followed by Carlos & Mauricio, Omar & Roger are next

Susy reads the clue after the RB before reuniting with her partner

There is transportation choice chaos

Javier & Jelkin arrive first at the harbor

Route Info: board a boat to the Hotel Atitlán (Pit Stop)

Mari & Mauricio probably took the wrong bus and are lost. The other teams are already at the harbor.

At the Pit Stop (Atitlán, Guatemala)

Jelkin is a screamer.

Javier & Jelkin are team number one. Each one wins a Nintendo Wii.

Gilherme and Vinicius, 2nd team to arrive but performed RB together, 30 minute penalty

Roger & Omar, 3rd team to arrive, but are 2nd place

Carlos & Mauricio, 3rd place

Aleandra and Marlene, arrive 5th but performed the RB together, 30 minute penalty

Marietta & José, 6th to arrive, 4th place

The Edisons, 5th place

Lili & Toño, 6th place

Marisol & Esteban, 7th to arrive, opened RB clue before choosing who would perform the task, 30 minute penalty

Guilherme & Vinicius, 7th place

Mauricio and Mariana arrive at the docks

Aleandra & Marlene, 8th place

Esteban & Marisol, 9th place

Susy & Stefany, 10th to arrive, but Susy opened the Route Info before rejoining her daughter after the roadblock, 15 minute penalty

Drama, the last team is about to arrive...

Susy and Stefany complete their penalty, 10th place (that was scary)

Mauricio & Mariana, last place, NEL'd

Yaaay! & it has started!  :wohoo:

Goodness, didn't they watch the previous season? Why so many mistakes? Basic ones at that.

I wish the teams speak as clearly & slowly as Harris so I don't have to rewind the video again & again. Or maybe I should just speak better Spanish.

Can't wait for the next episode.

Translating one hour of television requires a lot of time, which I don't have right now.

Yesterday I came back from San Pedro de Atacama (Great trip by the way)

And finally watch the first episode and gat to say i hated the edition of the show...

· Love the place of the Starting Line. So beautiful
· Liked the first task looking for the runes...
· Didn't understand how Javier&Jelkin get to the airport in last place if they leave Tikal in first place... they were talking about a problem and a mistake but was never show...
· Liked Antigua, and the Cathedral but didn't like the way it was showed the detour... skiping Marlene&Aleandra in "A tus pies" (At your feets) and focusing in the half of the teams in "A tus manos" (at your hands)
· Loved the fact that Susy&Stefany chose the smartest detour and finish it quickly
· Loved the Rout info and Roadblock in the Market of Chichicastenango, so difficult, with all those colored things I think it was a really challenging task, and again they skip half of the teams.
· Liked the fact they got to reach the Pitstop by boat.
· I'm really surprised by Javier&Jelkin great team, Susy&Stefany showed how to step up and be a smart racer...
· Really relieve the fact that it was a NEL Mauricio&Mariana need to step up and overcome their bad luck of the first leg...

· Don't know why but Hate the Intro...
· Hate the edition, skiping teams in the Detour, Roadbloack and Rout Info...
· Hat the fact that the episode focused only in half of the teams...
· I found somehow the logos and staff of the Rout info and Detour really weird...
· Hated all those mistakes of the teams, i mean too many penalties in one leg, I hope they were only the nerves of been in front of the cameras...

Its probably the first time I'm not rooting for any one of the F/F teams, and really don't care if they make it all the way to the Final Leg... maybe Susy&Stefany but they don't really look like a strong team... hope Mauricio&Mariana overcome the Speed Bump... Hope the edition be better in the next episode...
