Why does the Ponderosa this season looks so much worst as compared to Gabon's one.

In Gabon, they were not that far from civilizaton. Also they were very near the ocean and there were vacation villas there.
In Brasil, they are literally out in the middle of nowhere. It is a national park/preserve in the center of a triangle with Brasilia, Sao Luis and Fortaleza as the corners. North of Brasilia, you can see the Tocantins River. They are in the area north and east of Palmas. There are no major cities nearby either. Just to give you a little scale, it takes 4 hours to fly from Miami to the Amazon River around Manaus, then it takes another 4 hours to fly from the Amazon River to either Rio or Sao Paulo.
