You might count TAR10 as a double season as well. Sa'eed (Rudolph) and his partner Bilal are African-American Moslems: one born and raised, one convert.
Quote
TVGuide.com: Were you all raised Muslim or did you convert as adults?
Sa'eed: I was Christian before and converted to Islam in the year 2000.
Bilal: I was born and raised Muslim in Cleveland. Most of my family are Baptist and Christian. It's kinda ironic now because with maybe 12 cousins and 11 aunts, four of my aunts and four cousins are now Muslim. But back in the day, growing up, we were like the black sheep of the family.
(source)

Well I assumed that they were African Americans from being from Cleveland.   But I don't find anything in the article that states ethnicity.  They mention being the "black sheep" of their family.  I think this refers to their religion.

And I don't doubt that they are African Americans, I just haven't found proof.

That's what I get for going to bed early!

Message from Chrisrae:

It was an African American couple. I just uploaded the only pick I have to my blog entry "cambodia's culinary delights." It's the last picture in the series.

I saw them after arriving near seim reap by boat from battambang, traveling through lake tonle sap. It was about 2:30 or 3 in the afternoon on a Sunday. They were at the water's edge. We were kept away but I saw the guy stacking some baskets I've seen them use to transport pigs and she was holding their bags. They then jumped in awaiting trucks and were transported with the cameraman and got out near a wat outside of town. I kept onto town so I don't know what happened next.

Hope that helps!

That's what I thought at first but Jason says hes a racer peach.. they just look alike. And the guy on elevador Lacerda is white.

I'm thinking the man with the yellow hairband is a soundman but could be wrong ...I've seen him before in Kuwait maybe? But if the blogger thinks hes a contestant then who am I to argue?
This is the soundman from kkuwati flickr pictures, season 10 on the left ,, compare

I would think its the woman on the left. I don't see why she wouldn't sit near her boyfriend or husband.

Of course its Siem Reap, the blog link and details are posted right on this page, yeah so anyway where did the NEL idea come from Kiwi? It seems pretty clear that the African American couple were not seen after the Cambodia sightings? Although really theres not way to ever be 100% certain but thats my take.

Is it possible to get a time for this photo? We believe that they jumped in these trucks and probably drove up to the Wat, and we think that the girl with reddish hair was at the Wat at around midday, so if this picture was significantly before or after midday it could give us an indication whether the AA team could be way ahead/way behind, hence on another flight/eliminated.

Wait... The Tonle Sap sighting was on Sunday 4 May, and the Angkor Wat one on Monday 5 May, right?

The Tonle Sap sighting is where Chrisrae saw them--as posted just upstream.

This is a private message from Chrisrae in answer to my questions:

Hmm... DD/MM/YY and MM/DD/YY must have confused me! :groan:

If all the tasks in Cambodia were done on Sunday 4 May, what then did they do on Monday - extended Pit Stop? They leave Siem Reap on the first flight Tuesday morning, meaning Pit Stop releases were on Monday night...

(On the number of teams, do we have Jason telling us 6 teams to Delhi, and eyewitness reports saying 6 boats on Tonle Sap? :duno:)

He saw five teams Neobie.. from page 1

More from Jason/jumpingthetracks sans peach:

Here's my breakdown of the contestants:
*2 girls, both from Texas, one blond, one brunette.
*A young guy with spikey hair (college age, red shirt, orange pack,
white headband in the escalator pic) and his mother.
*A young couple (pic of them from behind on my blog), probably mid-20s.
*Another guy and girl but not a couple, early 20s.
2 frat boys.  One was wearing an AEPi shirt from Arizona State dated
2006 and the other was the jew-fro kid with the yellow headband.  He's
definitely a racer
*No African American team

Hey everyone.  Glad I could help with the Bangkok pics and info.  As Peach posted, I can definitely identify 5 teams and think there was another but can't be sure.  I know that sucks because you guys wanna know if people got kicked off recently.  Sorry about that.  Actually, I was chatting with a crew member in the customs line when they told me it was a documentary and I asked how many people there are in the "movie" and just threw 10 out there as a number and he said yeah so maybe there are only 5 teams left.
I can definitely say that the (1) frat guys are the guys in my second set of pics, one with a yellow headband, one with a yellow hat.  They were doing pullups on the bus ride from the plane. (2) The 2 girls, one blond/reddish hair, one brunette, both from Texas. (3) The couple with their backs to me in the other shot is a team, they had a number on the packs.  Don't remember what it was. (4) Then there's the young guy with the spikey hair and his mother and (5) another M/F who are together but almost positive they're not a couple.  That's all I saw in terms of contestants.I can definitely say there was no african american team.  There was one african american guy but he was a sound guy.  That's it.

And the girls definitely passed through customs when the rest went another way.  And in the picture with them, the black line to the left is the back of a thai lady's head.  Airport security or information person trying to help them.  I left them when they were still by the baggage claim trying to figure out what to do.

What else?  ummmmm, I didn't see any older couple with the group.  We were pretty much waiting in the small Siem Reap airport together for over an hour so I got a pretty good look at everyone that was there.

Again, glad to help as much as I can.  I'm offline for a bit so may not respond quickly if anyone has any questions.  I guess I'll have to start watching TAR now  ;)
