Kindly define all over the map? ???
I think that's because you're going Africa > Europe (Scandinavia) > Africa  And also visiting South America twice ???
Oh. :stare I thought complexity and uniqueness was nice.
Anyway, I'll mix up my route even though I prefer my original one. :grins:

For the next Returning Players season, I would like to see a 12-team race, mainly because (1) we haven't had one in forever (2) there are a lot of really good teams to consider.

The next returnee season will probably be The Amazing Race 30 with teams from The Amazing Race 25-29.  However, if it's 11 teams, fans should vote for two teams (not including winners) from each of the 5 seasons while CBS will pick the 11th team randomly.

I hope it's not just from TAR 25-29, because there are a lot of teams pre-25 that deserve a second chance.

TAR 29 60/40 speculated / wishlist
(that is, 60% speculation with 40% wishful thinking; you'll be able to tell which)

Looking at the big picture, TAR 27 and 28 are both eastward races and the last time we've had three "normal" eastward races (ie crossing Atlantic and Pacific) was TAR 4-5-6 (no I am not joking) sooo I'm assuming a westward season. Given that TAR 28 marks three seasons in a row with South America, I'm leaning towards South America being out but since it's looking like 4-5 continents is the trend, I suspect we're getting one of Africa or Oceania. We've had Oceania "winter" all of once in 28 seasons but more importantly, the last three times we went to Oceania it was at the start of the race so I think we're getting endgame Australia / NZ for TAR 30.

In other words, a Europe - Africa - Asia - North America race.

START: Los Angeles, CA
I mean whatever. If the live starts have shown anything it's that it takes a lot to set up a start line or a finish line which means for convenience LA is being used at least *once* and LA works far better to facilitate westward seasons so here we are.

Leg 1: Banff National Park, Canada
...except we're technically starting by going northeast  :funny: With TAR only being officially renewed for *one* season, the pressure is on to make a good looking route for less, so they can pour their money into the winter season which will likely get them an Emmy / renewal. Thus a leg in ~exotic~ Canada, starting with teams flying to Canada, drunkenly singing at Whiskey Dix, and getting on one of two charter buses to Banff which arrive the next day for plenty of first leg adventure tasks.

Leg 2: Calgary, Canada
TAR Australia and TAR Canada have shown that there's juuuuust enough to warrant a leg in Calgary so here we are. I figure teams could make the drive to Calgary to start out and work their way around from there.

Leg 3: Kanagawa prefecture, Japan
In other words - teams fly into Narita, then drive themselves back and forth from Yokosuka (for the first RI plus a FF involving surviving 15 minutes here) and Yokohama for the Detour and RB and back to Yokosuka for the Pit Stop. I feel like it would be a very nice industrial leg and we don't get many 'modern' industrial legs in Asia or many good legs in Japan so we'll knock two birds out.

Leg 4: Mandalay, Myanmar
A fairly 'easy' leg (counting arhats, puppet shows, gold leaf and bronze work) to get teams into Myanmar, partly because the previous leg would take roughly 3 days to film and partly because it'll end with a KOR and then an overnight bus to

Leg 5: Yangon, Myanmar
Mainly for convenience though Yangon is unique to TAR in that unlike many cities it's more of a developing city; to that end tasks would reflect the city's shift towards modernity (construction-related task, trading task) and the impact of young people (read: skateboarding RB)

Leg 6: Mauritius
Much like the TAR 10 leg teams would be given adorable cars and WRP's insurance information in order to drive around the entire island, playing with tortoises and sugar cane and possibly even beaches? While I could've easily chosen, say, the Comoros, Mauritius is so well-connected that it saves a lot of time and manages to dodge a lot of the areas visited on the previous three seasons of TAR.

Leg 7: Alexandria, Egypt
Provided the leg is run in the day (an extended Pit Stop will guarantee it), there's no major risk to running a leg in Alexandria and, in fact, you could have a very profound leg investigating Alexandria throughout the ages, counting and identifying the numerous statues of historical figures, helping with the antiquities of ancient Egypt and of course going through that giant library - by "profound" of course I mean "Emmy bait".

Leg 8: Petra National Park, Jordan
...but just in case racers don't get the memo, here's more obvious Emmy bait. Teams arrive in Amman in the evening and take charter buses to the entrance of Petra, where one team member gets to escort camels while the other carries a gnome of some sort and then they run around the complex without hopefully contracting heat stroke in the process.

Leg 9: Venice, Italy
Of the major countries in Europe that TAR tends to visit, Austria was visited the farthest back in time (granted, in summer AND I assume this to be a budget-heavy race so I'll ignore it), followed by the UK and Italy and, of the two, Italy lends itself to cheap racing / accommodations, even if it is in Venice. A nighttime leg opens the doors for romance and sniping as teams have to play gondoleer and cook <3

Leg 10: San Marino
I feel like there would be room for another short leg and while Slovenia and Bled was tempting, I figured San Marino probably won't have many opportunities to be raced in so why not now? Teams would drive to Rimini and the surrounding areas for the majority of tasks before entering San Marino for one last task and the Pit Stop.

Leg 11: Dakar, Senegal
penultimate African legs yay! In addition to being a giant curve ball to teams racing in mostly developed countries and also Myanmar and in addition to having a Switchback readily available (bonus points if we can force women to do it <3) it has a fairly nice flight plan to get teams to their final destination

Leg 12: Atlanta area, GA
I can't speak for everyone but I found the TAR 19 leg there to be a disappointment, with the map task overhyped, the typewriter task overstated in terms of the difficulty and the only draw being the flight simulator which everyone finished in the first five minutes lol. Finish line somewhere in or on top of Stone Mountain. Teams would arrive at noon and given that it's the middle of summer, have plenty of time to finish the leg before sunset even though if the past few seasons are an indication the tasks are hard enough to make this a moot point.

tl;dr

Leg 1 - Los Angeles, CA to Banff National Park, Canada
Leg 2 - to Calgary, Canada
Leg 3 - to Yokosuka, Japan
Leg 4 - to Mandalay, Myanmar
Leg 5 - to Yangon, Myanmar
Leg 6 - to Mahebourg, Mauritius
Leg 7 - to Alexandria, Egypt
Leg 8 - to Petra National Park, Jordan
Leg 9 - to Venice, Italy
Leg 10 - to San Marino, San Marino
Leg 11 - to Dakar, Senegal
Leg 12 - to Atlanta, GA

4 continents, 9 countries (3 new, 3 only visited once) and 26,000 miles and fitting 22 days / 12 shows as production wants.

As even so, New Zealand was last visited in TAR 22 and had its winter visit in TAR 13, although was actually filmed in Southern Hemisphere autumn (or fall called in US and Canada). We haven't had a winter Australia (the continent itself in Oceania) leg in US TAR and that hasn't visited since TAR 18 (as the last four Aussie visits were all occurred in hot summer) that could get Australia as the first destination.

As it contrast with TAR 23, TAR 24, TAR 26, TAR 27 and TAR 28 traveled to first destination city due to winter filming.

Hopes For Season 29!

contrary to what I've previously said i don't think Oceania will be visited although it is possible, like Zach mine will be based off logic and wish!

Starting Line: Los Angeles, California (Walt Disney Concert Hall) - LA is logical and easy for the budget, I can't believe the Concert hall has never been visited. (apart from TARFRANCE)

1. Los Angeles, California 🇺🇸 --> Seoul, South Korea 🇰🇷
This country needs to be seen more, Seoul is a wonderful diverse location that must be visited, I need Some K-Pop & Kimchi  :funny: Pitstop at Cheongyechong.

2. Seoul & Jeonju, South Korea 🇰🇷
A modern roadblock in Seoul maybe on the K-Pop scene before heading to the small city of the Jeonju, The birth of the bibimbap. A detour on Bibimbap would be awesome!

3. Jeonju, South Korea --> Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳
Fly to Da Nang before experiencing the old city of Hoi An, a night leg would be amazing including setting lanterns onto the river.

4. Hoi An, Vietnam --> Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭
How long do we need to wait! We haven't properly seen Angkor yet! Also Gamer I'm fulfilling your wish of Cambodia + South Korea  :funny:

5. Siem Reap, Cambodia --> Kathmandu & Pohkara, Nepal 🇳🇵
If Nepal is visited i may cry of happiness. Kathmandu for culture and religion and Pohkara for thrill.

6. Pohkara, India --> Kruger National Park, South Africa 🇿🇦
South Africa! Flight to Joburg before transfer to KrugerNP, the safari leg.

7. Johannesburg, South Africa --> Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦
CAPE ******* TOWN! You MUST be visited! Also pitstop transportation to Johannesburg from Kruger. Please Pitstop at Table Mountain's peak.

8. Cape Town, South Africa --> Athens & Delphi, Greece 🇬🇷
Greece hasn't been visited since S9! Im hoping for a roadblock at the ancient Delphi and a pitstop at the acropolis. In S9 they somehow missed all the famous sights  :stare

9. Athens, Greece --> Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺
Do i have to explain. Its just a stunning city that is in need of a visit!

10. Budapest, Hungary --> Bratislava & Trenčin, Slovakia 🇸🇰
Slovakia is a lovely underrated country which deserves a visit. Pitstop at Trenčin castle.

11. Trenčin, Slovakia --> Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦
The most liveable city! Cool vibes of Vancouver for a stressful leg. Possible transfer to Vienna for flight.

12. Vancouver, Canada --> Seattle, Washington 🇺🇸
Self drive to Seattle is pretty awesome. Visit the world oldest Starbucks!  :trampb: :funny:

4 Continents
10 Countries
18 Cities
2 New Countries
8 New Cities

Tl;DR.

SL. Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles, California

1. Seoul, South Korea 🇰🇷
2. Seoul & Jeonju, South Korea 🇰🇷
3. Hoi An, Vietnam 🇻🇳
4. Siem Reap, Cambodia 🇰🇭

The main areas to avoid in Egypt from what I gather are Cairo, the entire Sinai Peninsula and I thiiiiink Luxor? Cities like Alexandria are safe with the general precautions production has taken in other vaguely unsafe cities (read: race in daylight, Pit Stop to get teams released in daylight)and cities like Aswan and Hurghada are fine barring standard issues (pickpockets, scammers)

Plus if teams can race in Mexico and Colombia despite active travel warnings I see no issue with *one* leg in Egypt.

As on my first real wishlist post on page 120, Zack's suggestion would be the definite route plan for TAR 29:

Original post is clickable

Show content
Starting line: Los Angeles, California
Traditionally, its the standard race start city. Starting line probably be in Rose Bowl at Pasadena where they must take a public transportation by train to LAX.

Leg 1: Melbourne, Australia
A beautiful Australian city that hasn't yet to visit, and the country's first winter visit in TAR that is long overdue. Destinations for the leg include Old Melbourne Gaol and Federation Square.

Leg 2: Melbourne, Australia
A double leg in one single city. Places could visit for the leg are Brighton Beach, Queen Victoria Market and Royal Exhibition Building.

Leg 3: Seoul, South Korea
Seoul hasn't had a full leg and its overdue many times as well. Tasks will include the homage of "Gangnam Style" in the famous Gangnam district.

Leg 4: Da Nang/Hoi An, Vietnam
Central Vietnam hasn't been a visited for a long time since TAR 3.

Leg 5: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Whether the producers decide to choose for a train ride to the large city, bus is more longer and much faster.

Leg 6: Zanzibar, Tanzania
Hasn't visited since TAR 11 and it's a beautiful island. Thoroughly will be in the urban region of Zanzibar like the cities of Old Zanzibar (Zanzibar City), plus a visit of Freddie Mercury's childhood home known as Mercury House, in which that hasn't had a Sub-Saharan urban metropolis leg since TAR 17.

Leg 7: Zanzibar, Tanzania
The leg will be taking place in rural Zanzibar just not quite far from Zanzibar city, ala second Indo leg of TAR 23, second Moroccan leg of TAR 25 and first PH leg of TAR 25 as well.

Leg 8: Stockholm, Sweden
Last time, TAR visited Stockholm in season 15 and we have to get a proper Stockholm leg. The places could be going include Vasa Museum, Stockholm City Theatre and Drottingholm Palace. Tired of overused countries such as France, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.

Leg 9: Riga, Latvia
It's a new country and the only unvisited Baltic nation remain in the Race, a way long overdue.

Leg 10: Madrid, Spain
Beautiful Spanish city that hasn't visited in US TAR. Tasks to be included like playing football (soccer). It's way better than Barcelona and Seville.

Leg 11: Dublin, Ireland
Dublin is one of major cities in the British Isles has not yet visited. Ireland last visited in TAR 12 and that is also overdue, it's a beautiful city with great culture such as Guinness, Leprechauns and other tourist spots. A penultimate leg in Europe since TAR 24.

Leg 12: San Francisco/Napa, California
After the three previous visits in San Fran took place in winter, it's time to get the city for its summer finale. Plus, the finish line in California's popular wine region.

Route map: http://i.imgur.com/B0Ov8b1.png

Like in the current twenty-eighth season as Zack said, it will be a 4-continent race where Zack will be happy to praise this.

Starting line: Langham Huntington Hotel, Pasadena, California, USA - This would be the first time the race will start in a luxury hotel.

Leg 1: Seoul, South Korea
Seoul hasn't had a full leg and its overdue many times as well. Tasks will include the homage of the popular K-Pop genre like "Gangnam Style" in the famous Gangnam district.

Leg 2: Suwon/Yongin, South Korea
Teams will have a glance on the second Korean leg near Seoul. Tasks explore on its national dishes: Kimchi and Bibimbap.

Leg 3: Da Nang/Hue, Vietnam
Central Vietnam hasn't been a visited for a long time since TAR 3. This bi-city duo could be hosting in a single leg like Hong Kong/Macau in TAR 27. Marble Mountains is a good place to visit with scenery cavern rocks. Hue is getting convenience with the latter's former imperial capital, notable tourist attractions are Khai Dinh Tomb and Imperial City. The latter was last seen in TAR 3 in which arranging seven coins representing from emperors of imperial Nguyễn dynasty deriving from TAR Asia 3 and TAR Australia 1. Da Nang area will be hosting the first half (probably the Detour), while Hue will be the Roadblock and the Pit Stop.

Leg 4: Vientiane, Laos
This one of countries in Southeast Asia has never visited the Race before due to relations with its Buddhist religion. Vientiane is a good place to visit many Buddhist temples. Pha That Luang would be a good location as a Pit Stop.

Leg 5: Bangalore, India
After a numerous visits of repeated Indian cities, the race would be thrilled on a never visited Indian city to explore the view of the south-central region of India. Hindu temples would be fantastic and cool.

Leg 6: Stone Town, Zanzibar, Tanzania
Hasn't visited since TAR 11 and it's a beautiful island. Thoroughly will be in the urban region of Zanzibar like the cities of Old Zanzibar (Zanzibar City), plus a visit of Freddie Mercury's childhood home known as Mercury House, in which that hasn't had a Sub-Saharan urban metropolis leg since TAR 17.

Leg 7: Pwani Mchangani/Pingwe, Zanzibar, Tanzania
The leg will be taking place in rural Zanzibar just not quite far from Zanzibar city. Tasks will be taking place on a beaches of Unguja island (Zanzibar's populous island) like building traditional dhow boat. This scene would be good to pick for a Emmy nominee.

Leg 8: Stockholm, Sweden
Last time, TAR visited Stockholm in season 15 and we have to get a proper Stockholm leg. Of one of major European countries to visit, Sweden is a great place to hear. Teams could be going to Vasa Museum, Stockholm City Theatre and Drottingholm Palace. Tasks will have to eat Surströmming (Swedish sour herring) within one plate, just what it did in HaMerotz LaMillion 4.

Leg 9: Riga, Latvia
It's a new country and the only unvisited Baltic nation remain in the Race, a way long overdue. Latvia is more opportunity and great place to come.

Leg 10: Madrid, Spain
Beautiful Spanish city that hasn't visited in US TAR. Tasks to be included like playing football (soccer). El Escorial monastery would be a great place to visit.

Leg 12: San Francisco/Napa, California, USA
After the three previous visits in San Fran took place in winter, it's time to get the city for its summer finale. The final challenge (memory task) will make teams to search a bottle of wine with a flags being attached in each 9 bottles visited the race. The finish line will be in the famous Castello di Amorosa.

LIST

Leg 1: Los Angeles, CA, USA - Seoul, South Korea
Leg 2: Seoul, South Korea - Suwon, South Korea
Leg 3: Suwon, South Korea - Da Nang/Hue, Vietnam
Leg 4: Da Nang/Hue, Vietnam - Vientiane, Laos
Leg 5: Vientiane, Laos - Bangalore, India
Leg 6: Bangalore, India - Zanzibar, Tanzania
Leg 7: Zanzibar, Tanzania
Leg 8: Zanzibar, Tanzania - Stockholm, Sweden
Leg 9: Stockholm, Sweden - Riga, Latvia
Leg 10: Riga, Latvia - Madrid, Spain
Leg 11: Madrid, Spain - Dublin, Ireland
Leg 12: Dublin, Ireland - San Francisco, CA, USA

Map: http://www.rome2rio.com/trip/gizwkjpw

4 continents
10 countries (2 new and 1 visited once)
28,000 miles
Will fit for a 22-23 day race in contrast with most TAR seasons occur on 3/4 continents.
