That was a mistake. And boy am I GLAAD!The Saucers keep flying. But, hey, I admitted I was wrong, BEFORE the episode. This also (sort of) bolsters my "Ethan Does Well" spoiler which was moved into Spec. Outlasting Richard and COLBY is a feat in and of itself. So, yes, he has done well. How much "well"-er, I don't know. YET
Curb Your Camera Enthusiasm, ColbyIntrigue swirls around Colby, as he appears on HBO's CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM during the airing of Survivor: All-Star.SNNMonday, March 8, 2004In Episode 39 of HBO's CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM ("The Survivor") the star of the show Larry David was told he was meeting a survivor, assuming the "survivor" in question was from the Holocaust.Colby played himself at a dinner party with Larry and argued with a Holocaust survivor about who had it roughest surviving. This appearance is unusual, and we're not talking about the irreverant humor. Colby is not only under a strict contract that allows CBS to veto all of his media appearances (HBO is owned by Time-Warner, a competitor of CBS parent company Viacom), but he has not even been voted off the show yet; truly a first for the heavily controlled Survivors on the CBS plantation.Did Colby make a sweet deal with the powers that be, allowing him to further his acting career in this manner? If so, it heralds a remarkable change in flexibility on the part of The Eye. Unlikely. If not, well, the CBS marketing department will have their knickers in a twist, at the very least. Colby, Colby, Colby... And you thought you had enough drama in your life dealing with Jerri Manthey.
