Are we playing pick-a-line?
As of Autumn 2007, the only MRT system in existence in Taiwan was the one at
Taipei. Add that to the High-Speed Rail train in the picture, and the millions of stations in Taiwan whittle down to two possibilities:
Taipei Main, and
Banciao.
Banciao's metro and heavy rail lines are housed in separate buildings, so it is impossible to have a downwards escalator leading from the train platform to the MRT. Take a look at this
graphic, showing the metro station.
But looking at the floor plans for Taipei...
