Odds On: Which team will win CBS' Emmy Award winning reality TV series "The Amazing Race 10?" Any wagers placed after outcome becomes public knowledge will be graded as No Action. No refunds. No over limit wagers. All wagers will be graded based on results as posted on www.cbs.com. If more than one or none of the teams listed win, all wagers will be graded as no action. Max $50.

The odds don't match up with what we believe are the three teams spotted in Paris:

Tyler and James 4/1
Kim and Rob 5/1
Lynn and Karlyn 13/1

The two teams with the best odds:

Peter and Sarah 2/1
Edwin and Godwin 3/1

don't make it to Paris.

So if Paris is correct, and the teams are not decoys, then the odds makers don't know what they are doing.

That's it, the betting line is open. But the odds don't jive with what we seem to know. If the odds makers are right, then we all are in deep doo doo (ya hear me, Puddin?)

Team 1 : f/f as per video ( Dustin/Kandy)
Team 2: m/f as per video and looks like same as kuwait carpark to me( Rob/Kim)
Team 3: m/m (James/Tyler)
Team 4: m/f asian male and geeky female but not 100% sure as they were not sitting together and by geeky i mean she reminded me of lori in her stance/appearance and not playing up the the cameras as the first 3 teams. She sat on the sun bed under a tree and just waited quietly on spoke to the black female for a short time.( Chos , the one with the pony tail mistaken for a woman /Geek ) << Don't forget only the male is asian in that team and the female is what I call my token "Lori".
Team 5: f/f black - personally it looked like they did not want to be there in terms of all the other teams looking so competitive.(Kar/Lyn)

How do you read betting odds? Example: Manchester United to win the League - 2/3?

Reading odds is fairly straightforward if you read them as follows:

the figure on the RIGHT is how much you bet
the figure on the LEFT is how much you win

So, using your example, if you bet 3 you win 2. All winning bets also refund your original stake, so you end up with 5.

At its simplest, you have an even money bet, this is a fifty-fity like a coin toss. This is expressed as 1/1, so if you win you get exactly what you bet, plus your stake, so you double your money.

Bets where the figure on the left is larger are called "odds against". For example, odds of 3/1 (read as "three to one") mean that the bookmaker considers it 3 times more likely that you will lose than win.

Bets where the figure on the right is larger are called "odds on". For example, odds of 1/3 (NB read as "three to one on", not "one to three") mean that the bookmaker considers it 3 times more likely that you will win than lose.

Like someone said above...the Hippies win last season was the best ever for me, most satisfying ending ever, so this season I don't care either way who wins. I don't gamble so have nothing to lose, so what I heard was that T/J won right after it finished filming so in my mind they won from the get go and can't picture it ending any other way.

I think the way it works is you get your bet $ back plus that number times it when you win.

So if you bet $10 on T&J you would come out $5 ahead when/if they win.
