Joys:
+The first leg including a Roadblock AND Detour. I don't think this will happen again because I feel they were only able to do this because this season pretty much had no starting line.
+A really, really good cast. I genuinely like most of them.
+Return of self-driving!
+Winners with SOME personality

Disappointments:
-A video message as the starting line :res:
-Blodie. Dumb(ly edited).
-Teams working together crazy in Switzerland.
-France
-Armenia's Roadblock
-Indonesia 2's linearity
-Only 1 self-driving leg.
-Limited Detours on almost every leg. I think it's good to force teams to make a crucial decision, but I think they should be able to choose what they want.
-USA's boring finale
-The Express Pass needs to leave. It's just not interesting anymore (even tho it probably played a crucial role in Brodie & Kurt's elimination) and do NOT replace it with anything. Just bring back Fast Forwards or something.
-Editing for second half of the Race lacking compared to first half (for example, Zach & Rachel vs. Darius & Cameron racing to the Pit Stop in Colombia was edited so well, then we never got anything like that until maybe Burnie & Ashley vs. Sheri & Cole in China).

Tbh, I hated it, and not because Bernie and Ashley or Sheri and Cole didn't win.

My reasons: (not fact)
1. Everyone was out for each others throats imo. Everyone tried to act nice to each other, but they definitely wanted to work alone as long as they could and lie *cough* Tyler *cough*. Surprised there weren't any fights.

2. One of the weirdest legs I've ever seen. Leg 6, the Armenian leg. The detour was fine, but that road block, like why? It's not the worst idea for a road block, but the idea of doing it is so boring. If I was on the show, I would want to do something I could never do where I live. Changing oil is not one of those things.

3. That romance between Brodie and Blair. Now, I'm not insulting this 'possible' couple, it's just why did they have to talk about it so much? This isn't a TMZ show, this is TAR.

4. That stupid road block memory challenge at the end. "Hey guys, since the race is going to have internet celebrities, let's have the memory challenge involve hashtags" Brillant!" Idk, this is probs nitpick.

5. Dana and Matt......'s edit. (Hah, thought I would complain bout the winner, did ya?) Someone messed up big time in the editing department. Idk what they were trying to go for with Dana and Matt's relationship. They showed them constantly bickering and it just felt weird to watch. Were they trying to teach that no matter how much you like or hate each other, there is a chance of winning money for dealing with one another? I feel kinda bad for them, they win and yet they will probably get all this hate that Chris and Logan would of gotten if they won Season 27. Way to portray the winners of this season as 'villains' guys.

(sighs) rant....over. Will post likes later on.

I agree with everything said here.
Though it's bad for them due to causing casuals' HATE, I loved that the edit of the dancers didn't hint at them winning AT ALL. I loved having unexpected winners and the only other time I remember as much bickering in the winning team is Flo & Zach?

Another great joy for me were the early non-eliminations and having leg 1 be a NEL. Can we please finally get a leg 2 NEL, too?

I was extremely happy with the impact of the EP - it wasn't mentioned too much over the course of the season, but most likely was the cause of Brodie & Kurt's demise. Had they not played it in Dubai, they would've most likely not fallen to the back of the pack in Indonesia 1 and probably not even U-Turned in Indonesia 2 or at least survived the U-Turn.

Yay:
~ 3 New Countries: Colombia, Armenia, Georgia
~ Cast is not what I expected. (11 x Joey & Meghan)
~ Imbalanced detours bringing fun to the game - more shuffling of placements.
~ Everybody starts almost at the same time after arriving in Mexico City, which is rare.
~ So much placement changes throughout Leg 1.
~ Mexico after 25 seasons.
~ Detour + Roadblock on leg 1.
~ So many intense finishes!
~ Leg 1 NEL!!!
~ 11 teams racing in Leg 2!!!
~ Flight drama on Leg 2.
~ 4-way Roadblock race at night in Leg 3.
~ Zach & Rachel surviving Leg 3.
~ Scott & Blair surviving at the back for most of the race.
~ Racers are providing info of the unaired through social media.
~ UN Flag Task!
~ Chamonix scenery!
~ Altitude drama in Chamonix.
~ Fun + Extreme tasks in Leg 5.
~ Ashley taking off during the Leg 5 roadblock was shown as a flashback to create suspense.
~ EP finally appeared on Leg 6 when I thought it'd be gone forever.
~ Tyler & Korey, a strong team, arriving 2nd to the last at pit stops in Georgia & Armenia.
~ Armenia and Georgia bring a classical vibe in terms of environment (architecture), and I hope they'll be visited again.
~ While looking for the theater clue in Armenia, not everyone found it at the same time, causing shuffling of placements and "good" time gap between the teams.
~ Language barrier drama in Georgia and China.
~ Georgian leg overall - from tasks, to teams, to drama, to EVERYTHING in that episode!
~ Brodie & Kurt and Tyler & Korey knocked off the Top 2 during the Georgian leg.
~ Zach & Rachel surprisingly winning a leg.
~ Dana owning the dance task when they had difficulties earlier that leg.
~ Return of self-driving, and it's in the twisted roads of Dubai!
~ Dubai desert scenery.
~ Return to Dubai's Aquadventure, giving off Mika-TAR15 vibes.
~ Brodie & Kurt not using their EP on the deadline leg.
~ Sheri & Cole surviving at the bottom from time to time.
~ Dubai episode finishing at night.
~ Sheri & Cole's impressive 3rd place finish in Leg 9 despite Speedbump.
~ Most teams not knowing the status of Brodie & Kurt's EP by Leg 9.
~ Brodie & Kurt, a strong team, fighting for last in Leg 9.
~ The return of the Twinnie U-turn Strategy, albeit unplanned.
~ The 1st task in Leg 10 was creative and unique.
~ A strong team was successfully U-turned out, giving underdog teams a chance.
~ Leg 11 had cool tasks, and a not-disappointing leg.
~ Rain in Leg 11 being slightly dramatic.
~ Recap summarizing race highlights.
~ A team I don't wanna see win, didn't.
~ Synchronized mountaineering was a decent finale task.
~ Presence of memory task in the season.
~ Dana & Matt's record of winning only 1st and last leg.
~ Taxi drama during finale.
~ Tyler's curse finally broken; it's now revised though.
~ Great season overall!
~ Several suspenseful finishes throughout the season.
~ Teams' reactions (especially during Leg 4) when they see Scott & Blair, indicating that they're at the back with Daddy-Daughter.
~ Scott & Blair being impressive by making it farther than expected.
~ Sheri & Cole landing on 8 different placements throughout the race (2nd - 9th).
~ Tyler & Korey being unexpectedly impressive at the beginning.
~ Not all teams were recruits.
~ Season exceeded my expectations, especially as a themed one.
~ Georgian spoilers in their news. Blair even asked for directions from the reporter.
~ Indonesia spoilers never disappoint!
~ Tyler Oakley having so many spoiler footage.
~ Sheri & Cole racing impressively - last on the Mexico Live, 2nd in the end.
~ Burnie & Ashley's ideology on choosing fun tasks.
~ In addition to Leg 1 NEL: Unlike TAR18, both Legs 1 and 2 had a roadblock and a detour each.
~ In addition to Leg 1 NEL: Unlike TAR19, 10 teams race the 3rd leg.
~ New W-turn design.
~ The funny coincidence with winners' positions on cast pics these recent seasons.

Nay:
~ Team names replaced with social media usernames.
~ Underwhelming intro from the Instamodels, and I blame the editors because I'm pretty sure they said something more that was not shown.
~ Episode 1 was too crammed.
~ No mention of prizes for Legs 1 & 11.
~ EP not in Leg 1; late appearance of EP.
~ Marty & Hagan on 2nd to the last flight, giving them one major disadvantage on their last leg. :(
~ Boring 1st half of Leg 3.
~ Dana & Matt's negative edit.
~ Leg 3 W-turn's outcome.
~ Leg 4 pit stop design, making the results be sorted from fastest to slowest based on footrace. Even worse, it had an effect on the next leg.
~ Burnie & Ashley never winning a leg, and worse when they were robbed of 1st several times.
~ Last F/F team eliminated in Leg 5, 8th place.
~ Burnie & Ashley making detour risks in Chamonix and Shenzhen, the latter one partially led to their elimination. :(
~ 2-week break between Episodes 5 & 6, which weakened my excitement for Episode 6.
~ Leg 5 linearity partially caused by separation in cable car rides. I understand it was for safety reasons, so it was unavoidable, but the effect made the leg linear.
~ Armenian roadblock.
~ Only 1 self-driving leg.
~ Dubai's fight for last was unsuspenseful. I know it's not every leg wherein there's an intense fight for last though, so this is unavoidable.
~ Blair's and Brodie's leg issues that were unaired. Those could've easily explained why they were weaker in roadblocks.
~ Leg 9 somehow felt lacking.
~ Leg 10 has poor suspense, and also poor leg design which caused linearity.
~ No mid-season intro.
~ Memory task seemed too easy.
~ My top favorites not making it to the F3, again.
~ A live sneak peek of Leg 1 during filming.
~ Ugly speedbump designs.
~ While viewing spoilers: 3 FF teams were part of Top 4 in the Mexico Live, but were all eliminated before the Georgian leg.
~ Boot order.
~ Expectations on Australia & Oceania during the spoiler period, filming.
~ Intro.
~ Less screentime for pit stop greeters.
~ Complete absence of the Fast Forward.
~ Some title quotes.

It was tough to check so many threads with so many pages, but I'm satisfied that this is complete now. I hope it is. :)

Platrium, yours is perfect!

Although the Dubai leg must of been hard to make suspenseful Sheri & Cole were about 3 hours behind Matt & Dana!

And I'm not even done.

That's why I said that was unavoidable. There's no perfect season after all.

Well, I promised a while back to make a good list so....
1. Bernie and Ashley/Sheri and Cole (They were imo the only likable teams on TAR THE WHOLE WAY through. I liked Tyler and Korey before they started playing dirty. And no, it's a game/survival of the fittest is not an excuse for bad behavior)
2. 3 new countries, (Although one of them had the most boring road blocks ever)
3. That leg 1 NEL everyone on here seems to want, so I guess that's good for the fans. (I'll admit though, I was expecting a double elimination the next leg)
4. No India, the most over used destination on the show besides China and France
5. The Bali Kite Festival Road Block
