Today was a good day now that I have my PC running again (with 2 new hard drives) after 9 months without. Hubby's PC is also "new", though we were able to save all the files there. I lost sooo much on mine, it nearly makes me cry, but we shouldn't lose everything again. I know one thing for sure...I'm NOT using the IE browser ever again! Mozilla Firefox is the way to go. :hrt:

Actually, I don't understand much about computers. Our PC "guy" said that Microsoft IE browsers are a huge target for, and not secure enough against, those who develop viruses and trojans. He said that once he just visited a site, without clicking on anything there, and he was given a virus. That is obvious since our anti-virus software did not find everything and both our PCs were infected.
My PC had 2 harddrives and I would continually backup my files there. What I didn't know was that it also was being infected. (:;) I lost many years' worth of files.... :'( Thankfully, the files on the second hard drive on my hubby's computer were recoverable. I'm not sure why, but I am so thankful! I had many files there, too, because of having to use his for 9 months.
Now we use Mozilla Firefox. I had downloaded it some time ago, but I was reluctant to learn something new. Big mistake! There is also a browser called Opera, and of course, Netscape. I think just about any other browser besides Internet Explorer would be better for being protected.

Don't know what else to say about computers except don't buy a Dell. I've had so many probs in the past almost right after I had bought one. :groan: If I ever have to get another one, it won't be Dell. In fact, I may consider a MAC. ;D

So, I've been reading the other game threads...and how do you make funnel cakes?? ??? Maybe I'm not sure what they are.
Oh, and don't feel so bad about not knowing how to swim. If anybody asks you, just tell them you don't have enough body fat to keep you afloat! That should shut them up. :beer: (I can't swim either, though I took swim lessons 3 years when a kid. But I've got, um, a little 'spare tire' so I float real well. ;) )

No we went for awhile yesteday but it was a whopping 55 degrees . Anyway the best place to watch the race at Pocono is the tv because its so big ! And I was thrilled for Denny :jumpy:
Now about the funnelcakes , actually they are more like fried dough Bashful ! I buy the frozen loaves of bread then follow the directions to thaw and all that stuff , then I cut off chunks and sorta flatten them out with my fingers but leave them puffy ,then drop them in some nice very hot clean veg oil ...we roll them in powder sugar , the kids call them my homeade doughnuts :food: .
