told ya , well in spoilers  , survivor is a snooze fest and now a recap next week with the following week off for basketball, SNORE !
-
I didn't hear about that. What a waste!
I still find it hard to believe that AI is beating Survivor.
-
No Survivor for 3 weeks!? As long as AI is on, I can handle it. :hearts: I can see why AI is getting higher ratings than Survivor. S12 is kinda...eh this season. AI is rockin'! I can see why AI is getting higher ratings!
-
Hmmm, I'm finding this season interesting. I'm not finding it blaaaa at all. As for no Survivor for three weeks. That's not exactly true. We do have a recap next week where we'll see some new clips (but who really likes a recap show), then the following week we will not have Survivor, but the following week it's back on. So technically only one week with no survivor, two if you don't count the recap show or don't plan on watching it.
-
Yeah, I was thinking that too, Jeff. It's not 3 straight weeks. Whatever, we game junkies can have a 2 wk break! :waves:

Fox boosted by 'Idol' and '24'
Thanks mostly to "American Idol," with a shout-out to "24," Fox has for the first time in its history won the first four nights of prime-time rankings this week in the adults ages 18 to 49 demographic.
Thursday's "Idol," which saw another four hopefuls booted from the competition, yielding the 12 finalists, drew 26.3 million total viewers, with a 10.6 rating/27 share in the demographic, according to preliminary figures from Nielsen Media Research.
CBS is probably muttering hosannas that, starting next week, Fox's singing competition will return to its normal Tuesday-Wednesday pattern. The Thursday "Idol" has hammered "Survivor: Panama," which has plummeted 26% compared with last year's "Survivor: Palau." On Thursday, Mark Burnett's show drew a 5.3 rating/14 share in the demographic, with 15.4 million total viewers

Puddin, isn't this the first time since s2 Australia that Survivor has suffered a ratings dip? As i recall, S2 aired a week or two after 9-11 when people were still reeling.
-
I really don't know Rudy , I actually worked while S2 was on and didn't follow it all that closely

'Survivor' drop
Sunday's two-hour "Survivor: Panama" finale on CBS predictably dominated its first hour, at 8 p.m., but still wound up the lowest-rated wrap-up in the series' history. The special averaged 17 million viewers, with a 6.1 rating/15 share among 18- to 49-year-olds, according to figures from Nielsen Media Research. The finale shed more than one-fifth of its young-adult audience compared with last year's "Survivor: Palau" closer and also last fall's "Survivor: Guatemala."
Watch CBS' schedule closely when it's announced Wednesday. "Survivor" still does well in its time slots, but don't be surprised to see the network reduce the frequency of the show.

That is really too bad, Puddin. I found this season's finale to be one of the most touching and rewarding finales that I have seen. I laughed, I cried, sometimes I laughed and cried at the same time! I Loved that Cirie won the car at the end!
