Is The Losingest Tribe In Program's History

NEW YORK (AP) Maybe they should change their name to Ulose. As of Thursday's episode, the Ulong tribe is the losingest tribe in "Survivor" history, having failed every immunity challenge on the Palau-set edition of the CBS reality show.
"I'm still kind of boggled by it," Ibrehem Rahman told The Associated Press Friday. "It might have been some sort of Palau ghost or something working against us. Who knows?"
Rahman, one of three remaining Ulong members, was the latest victim of the losing streak — and a voting flip-flop. Despite Rahman's hush-hush alliance with Bobby Jon Drinkard from the start of the show, both Drinkard and Stephenie LaGrossa cast their votes against him.
"I thought we were pretty tight," Rahman said of Drinkard. "I was surprised when I was the one that got my torch snuffed. I didn't really get a chance to ask him why there was a breakdown in communication."
In an interview with the AP at the beginning of the season, host Jeff Probst promised a "season of firsts." With only two tribe members left, Ulong may be the first "Survivor" tribe to become extinct.
Maybe they should just change their name to Ugone.

So it really is official. In a year that had Savannah State go 0-28 and solidify being the worst Division I hoops team of all-time, the men and women of Ulong joined the party by being the worst Survivor tribe of all-time. Incredible.
I don't think we'll see the tribe go extinct. It would be awesome if they did, but I gotta think there is a merge on the horizon.

OK they lost the most challenges,EVER.....
NEVER WON immunity...
picked there own darn team....
and maybe as a TRIBE they SUCK
...but individually, some of them weren't so bad? right???

Why else, besides Steph was UNSUCKY?
compare some Ulongs to some others who actually made the merge....maybe we can like/respect them more???
Don't know, how ya all feel about them as individuals??

Is it me or does anyone else remember when the Ulong tribe picked their team, and the said that they were going to be a strong team because of all of the younger stronger players. :(*8 In your face Ulong |(

However them losing so much really will hurt Steph...As she has had to step up and be the outstanding strong player!!! She will have a target on her back as a strong player if she makes merge.

but that can also show the other team that she can pull her weight when things need to get done.

Not only that, but since she's such a strong person...she may have a run of IC wins, taking her further, but doubt to the Finals...for the reason Texan stated. I sure wish she could've been picked to be on Koror... }^/ (btw, puddin...i love this cutie emote! thanks! }^/ )

just some ideas.....I see how the TRIBE Ulong sucked...but maybe Bobby Jon and others wouldn't have been so bad off in a different edition.

I'd rather see Angie than Amber on S1 or All-Stars, b/c Angie has gumption...a mind of her own. She wouldn't ride along on someone's coat tails! Amber seems like a sweet gal...but as shown on TAR, she can't make decisions...she's too dependent. I think Rob was more deserving to win than Amber b/c he did all the work to get there!
Angie would've gone far in most other seasons. Just wish she'd dressed more becoming tho! `/~ The skimmy black bikini really bugged me! |( `/~
James? I doubt that he would've done much better in a different season. He acted like he knew a lot, but was rather careless at camp building/upkeep...putting stuff together w/ bailing wire & a bandaid...not as skillfull as he claimed to be. Weak in challenges. In the knot challenge, he tied good knots for ulong, then fumbled around trying to untie koror's knots!
BJ. He's good looking? He may've done better on any survivor OR...on koror? Not sure.
Well, my mind is blank for the moment to mention others! Need to watch my tapes to jog my memory a bit...

Good point there Vernie. Also I seem to recall in a previous survivor that the young team thought they would be better than the older team and they were also eating their words. So let that be a reminder to anyone else going on survivor--don't think cos you are young and strong that you will be the better team. :(*8

Stronger? Then why did they vote off one of the strongest players (Jolanda) first thing? I know one thing, they should as h*ll weren't the smarter of the two tribes.

Voting off Jolanda in the beginning was the first bad move Ulong made. Considering she was almost an Olympic athlete, I think having her would have been the difference in at least the running and carrying stuff Immunity Challenge. I bet she also could have made a difference in the one where you had to push people off the platform.

Thinking to myself please let Steph win, or it is going to be a very sad night for Cecil, but your girl came thru. ]#* ]#* I have to say that even though I have cheered Koror on from the begining I have found myself pulling for Steph. She needs to get to the final 2.

Koror is so annoying. I must be the only one that doesn't like Tom. I don't know what it is about him, but when he referred to himself in the third person last ep, I about puked. :/

I guess the trade-off of being spoiled is being (potentially) bored.
I missed when Tom referred to himself in the third person. At best, that's pretentious, at worst, it's a sign of mental illness. I'm not liking him as much as I thought I would. Maybe it's just harder to root for someone who doesn't seem to have any trouble. In classical "hero" mythology, there's always some hardship the hero must overcome. We haven't seen Tom have to overcome much, except maybe some sour pusses (Coby, Katie, Caryn, Janu...).

What Tom has to watch out for is being too comfortable. I get the sense that he already thinks that him, Katie, Ian and Steph (when she comes over) are going to make the Final Four. I'm one of those don't count you chickens before they hatch people.
He is also very visible. If I were in the shoes of somebody outside his little grouping I would definitely be plotting to overthrow him first.

It happened during the reward challenge. Jeff asked Koror who would represent Koror in the tie breaker. Tom answered, "Tom will."

I missed that. I guess I should have tried to stay a little more sober for the show. That's hysterical that Tom referred to himself in the third person. Rickey Henderson must have been proud.

This probably isn't on topic but to carry on a string of this thread...
I noticed Tom referred to himself again in the third person (in Ep 9 "I Will Not Give Up"), the morning after he drank too much he said, "It was not a good night for Tom."

I mean, I beg to differ with this topic... [^/They gave it their all... It is just that Tom and Ian are unstoppable! I am not sure I have ever seen a team that strong (in a while at least), so Ulan really did not have a chance... They had some really weak minded people on the tribe, and that hurts worse sometimes than having 8 people who suck on your tribe.. you know?
