And we continue off with a recap of the previous leg. Hung came through for the alliance, but didn't feel the love in return. Leo & Alana spared Kaylynn & Haley from the Yield, but didn't divulge key info. DeAngelo & Gary get 1st while Hung & Chee get a wake-up call. Kaylynn & Haley are saved from elim. Who will be eliminated next?

Kaylynn & Haley: Surprise b!tches.

DeAngelo & Gary depart 1st at 1:00 A.M. Fly to Almaty, Kazakhstan. Upon arrival, teams must make their way to Kazakhfilm Studio for
a DETOUR.

The top five are making their way to buy tickets to Almaty. I'm not sure why they want the alliance to work so bad. It's honestly confusing.

Leo & Alana and Kaylynn & Haley make it an equalizer. All on the same flight.

INTRO!

If the alliance is a byproduct of the Yield being reintroduced, then the Yield needs to go, which is a shame.

Woah the girls were 3 and a half hours behind Leo/Alana... the edit made it look close but it really wasn't lol

I don't know why but this intro of Leo/Alana and the blondes makes me think that Leo/Alana will be eliminated and that the blondes will survive again.
(Alana look like she wasn't happy in that confession filmed after the Kazakstan leg)

I have no issue with alliances. I think the shock for fans is that the alliance just happens to include the relative strongest five teams in the race, and did not include two female teams, a 60-year-old man and his son, and a dating couple. I think that is what seems baffling, but I may be wrong.

I think it’s also the scale of the alliance. Like 5 teams is almost half the entire cast. We’ve seen 2 team and 3 team alliances but this is insane, especially so late in the race

We come back to teams landing in snowy wonderland Almaty. (Literally, one of the most underrated locales I would love to visit someday.) They make a mad dash to taxis outside the airport. Leo reveals he has learned a bit of Kazakhstani from Russian students of his. All arrive at the same time and they see a Kazakhstani warrior riding a horse. Aparna reaches for a satchel. Kaylynn & Haley encounter their Speed Bump.

DETOUR: Great Khan's Spy or Knock Out Guy. In Spy, teams must watch a Kazakhstani warrior fight scene and answer trivia correctly to receive their next clue. In Knock Out, teams must perform a series of stunts and break a clay vase to receive their next clue. Hung & Chee and Will & James are the only to do the stunts.

Kaylynn & Haley must apply prosthetic beards to each other to continue on the main route.

Kaylynn & Haley quickly finish the Speed Bump and move on to the Detour. The teams at the fighting scene Detour are looking like an afterschool high school activity. :funny: But the set for Leo & Alana (correction) and Hung & Chee's Detour is action-packed and crazy. Oops, I misarranged the people who are picking which task.

The scene is super chaotic. Hung & Chee speak to Great Khan and answer questions about horses, axes, spears, and calls from Khan.
"Softer Chee." :funny: They get the answers wrong. Leo & Alana give their attempt. They get it wrong.

Kaylynn & Haley choose Knock Out Guy as their Detour of choice. There's no more swords left so they have to switch to the latter one. :( That's disappointing for them.

For me, it's just how the tasks are dealt with in this respect. The Roadblock last leg was less than ideal, almost a disaster on all aspects where teams could ask for outside help (Haley), teams communicating with each other w/o going back up (Aparna and Leo), and teams helping each other without having to redo the rappel (Core 5).

DeAngelo & Gary are arguing as Riley & Madisson can't find their taxi. Kaylynn & Haley discuss moving out at an early age again.

Hung & Chee get a better view of the questions and the sequence. They receive their clue in 2nd. They see Kaylynn & Haley with mustaches and think it's so funny. :clap2:

Leo & Alana get the questions wrong again.

Meanwhile, Eswar & Aparna have to add more drama and screaming in their fighting scene. They tend to fight more calmly.

Hung & Chee surpass the volleyballers for a taxi and meet their driver. "We're number one right now!"

Will & James are getting camera cut as they mistake each other's actions. DeAngelo & Gary make quick progress on the fighting scenes only to fail at the latter half. Kaylynn & Haley arrive next to Leo & Alana for the second attempt.
Title: Re: TAR 32 EP 7 LIVE SHOW UPDATES AND COMMENTARY 11/18/20 9-10PM
Post by: RachelLeVega on November 18, 2020, 08:25:02 PM
Kaylynn & Haley guess 15 swords and Leo & Alana guess 16 spears, way way overestimating the amount. :funny:

Eswar & Aparna need to be more concise with their choreo. Meanwhile, Will & James make progress on the movie set to finish in 3rd.

De & Gary also wrap up the fighting Detour after their own fight with themselves and leave in 4th.

Leo & Alana lose count while Kaylynn & Haley explain their methodical thinking.

Aparna is screaming in near pain during the scenes! :funny: They go Hulk crazy and leave in 5th.

Kaylynn & Haley go at another attempt at the task and get it right! They leave in 6th. Alana gets their spear number wrong. They are in last currently.

Hung & Chee arrive at the village and see camels, sheep, falcons, and nomads! They choose not to Yield.
ROUTE INFO: Teams must lead a camel to an empty yurt and interior decorate, including cooking a goat's head table set to match the example, to receive their next clue.

Volleyballers arrive at the yurts and choose not to Yield.

Hung wants to make quick progress with the yurt. Meanwhile, Alana has a breakdown as they can't figure out the number of spears there are in the chaotic scene.

Will & James and De & Gary arrive at the Yields, choose not to use it, and proceed to the camels. Eswar & Aparna choose not to Yield as they get their yurt clue.

Kaylynn & Haley don't know if they want to use the Yield. Leo & Alana finally get 5 swords at their 11th attempt.

Post by: RachelLeVega on November 18, 2020, 08:33:23 PM
Leo & Alana leave the Detour task in last place, hoping they aren't Yielded.

Will & James and Eswar & Aparna see their fingers and toes freezing over. Kaylynn & Haley arrive at the Yield. James interrupts them and tries to peer pressure them. Riley interjects to them also.

WHAT. IS. WRONG. WITH. THESE. TWO.

Commercial break.

Hung & Chee see the goat head on the example and get it from the boiling pot.

Will & James confuse the goat for a deer head.  :funny:

Meanwhile, volleyballers call for a check. They are disapproved because they are missing the goat head. Will & James say they can't have a complete yurt without a goat head. They get a check and are approved. They leave in 1st place. Travel to Zelenyi Market and search the meat market for the next clue.

Hung & Chee are remodeling their design to be correct while Panthers are disapproved. Leo & Alana arrive at the yurts and find out they've been Yielded. "We're so sorry!" - Kaylynn & Haley. They don't have hard feelings since they were in the bottom of the pack.

Will & James arrives at the meat market and find no lead, only raw goat head. Hung & Chee finish the decorating and receive their clue. Hung is not being smart and accidentally spilled the answer to the Panthers. Welp. They bicker a bit in the taxi ride.

DeAngelo & Gary finish the yurt decorating while Will & James still can't find the clue box. Leo & Alana are done serving their Yield and go on to the yurt decorating task.

Will sees the head of the clue box and gets their clue. PIT STOP: First President Park, last team to check in WILL be eliminated. Nice pun.

Will & James try to find a taxi and can't locate one. Riley & Madisson get to the clue box and grab the Pit Stop clue. Both teams are hiring drivers. Kaylynn & Haley and Leo & Alana are slowly making progress on their yurts. Eswar can't believes he missed the goat head. Meanwhile, Hung & Chee and DeAngelo & Gary arrive at the meat market clue box to find the Pit Stop clue.

Volleyballers and Will & James in a foot race to the Pit Stop! We get to see a quick montage of dancers doing their thing.

Will & James arrive on the mat and are welcomed as TEAM NUMBER ONE and win a trip for two to Las Vegas at the Venetian Resort & Casino. lol. However, they get news of a MEGA-LEG - DOUBLE THE DETOUR, DETOUR THE ROADBLOCK. What I heard, correct me if I'm wrong.

Riley & Madisson are TEAM NUMBER 2.

Leo & Alana and Kaylynn & Haley are missing a skull and they gather the supplies.

MEGA-LEG - DOUBLE THE DETOUR, DETOUR THE ROADBLOCK.
Why must they always warn teams of things. Like Yield ahead or U-Turn ahead or MegaLeg ahead. Like, let teams be surprised and not spend time strategizing about it or whatever.

Kaylynn & Haley get a check and leave in 5th. Eswar & Aparna get their check in 6th. Leo & Alana get checked off in last.

Hung & Chee are TEAM NUMBER 3 and DeAngelo & Gary are TEAM NUMBER 4.

Eswar & Aparna, Kaylynn & Haley, and Leo & Alana all get to the park.

Kaylynn & Haley are TEAM NUMBER 5! They think they took this leg by the horn.
Eswar & Aparna are TEAM NUMBER 6.

Leo & Alana... (Phil reminds them of the Yield)... are the last team to arrive and have been eliminated from the race. The guitarist is staring at them with a half-frowned smile. Alana emotionally decrees her love for Leo and they head off with their memories cherished.

Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode!

Well, I never thought I would dislike a team more than Dave & Connor in the "season that shall not be named", but the boyfriends are climbing with giant steps right to the top of that scale.
Surprised you say this. I actually have extremely mixed feelings about Will & James, one moment I dislike them, another I'm rooting for them - like, I wanted them to win this leg real bad over the Beards. But um. I'm really glad the Blondes were pushed into using The Yield? Am I the only one..? It's just really annoying that the Yield has now appeared on 5 legs, almost every team somewhat hyped up, and kept being unused. I'm quite sure now that we're in the F6, we'll have the remaining Yields used, too.

I'm pretty sure that's the case. Same as with DeAngelo acting so bratty towards Gary tonight. It's the first time I somewhat disliked watching them (especially DeAngelo), and I used to always like Gary less out of their team.

I agree with you 100%. I love Gary/DeAngelo but tonight DeAngelo was super annoying during the detour.

It was a smart choice for the girls to yield Leo/Alana.
I'm happy they survived

I'm really curious as to why Leo chose to work with Aparna, knowing they are at the bottom, but not helping the girls. Maybe it's because they don't know about the Mine-5 alliance, but still...

I agree, Marionete.

I don't if anyone would get this reference but here it is: "Mikey's not the one but he's there."

Alenaveda, about why Leo didn't help the girls, I think it's because he knows the girls were last but he didn't know that Leg was gonna be non-elimination. It added to the entertaining value though.

Kaylynn & Hayley: "Everyone's in it for themselves."

Will & James ruined the season with the dominant five team alliance. Made the show very predictable and boring to watch.

I really hate it when alliances on this show just gang up on other teams for being not in their group, intentionally try to bully the outsider into doing their bidding, and outright stop to help despite the fact that this is a Race and the "Mine Five" did all of those three on the same episode. Just sad to watch.

I've had way too much on my plate today.

"Detour the Roadblock". :funny: :funny: :funny:

This. To add that they have to help each other out every single time is just ruining the experience. It's a competition cmon, having an alliance is okay, but no need to overdo it.

Kaylynn & Haley are also the first-ever team, in the U.S. version at least, to use the U-Turn and Yield. I feel like they deserve at least "Slowdown Duchesses" title.

I wonder if we are going to have a leg mid-point during next week's mega leg, to just to fit in the 12-leg race structure to let us count the team racing average. :didimiss:

We do get one clear mid-point for the first mega leg in Hungary (the Internet Cafe)

Between the two legs, this was the crazier one.
The Detour was so intense. Such a spectacle on film.
This leg and the previous leg brought about resolution to Leo & Alana helping Kaylynn & Haley in Leg 2.
I do have to give credit to James for getting out his target without using his & Will's own Yield.

This leg was certainly the better of the two legs broadcast tonight. I loved the Detour, I really need to see a Kazakhstani film one day, if their films are produced like the Detour was. I also loved the screaming from Eswar & Aparna, it was so random but also quite funny to watch!

Also, Kaylynn & Haley's Speed Bump with them wearing beards was a total pisser! I also love how they were stopped in the street and asked about them by members of the public.  :funny: Congratulations to them for making the Final 6! I wasn't convinced they would make it this far, so fantastic job girls if you're seeing this!  :2hearts:

I'm in agreement with the majority of viewers here today, in saying that Will & James now remind of Dave & Connor. They're getting quite annoying and almost borderline nasty? I do not understand this 'beef' between them and Leo & Alana?  Plus, if you want to do some dirty, don't get someone else in your alliance to do it for you. Have the balls to actually do the move yourself and own the move that you make! :res:

I'm quite keen to see how the
Show content
megaleg
works out next week! Plus,
Show content
India
is always chaotic and fun for an episode's activities, so let's see how we go! I'm expecting a cross between S30's Zimbabwe legs & S6'S Hungary legs, so let's see how we go! :)

This leg was an amazing (no pun intended) return to Kazakhstan!

The speed was so fun, seeing
Show content
Kaylynn and Haley
have the beards the entire leg was so funny! :funny:

The Detour was so visually appealing, the movie set was fantastic to see!

Both Detour options were great as well, I loved the movie action one where teams had to perform a series of action moves. That side would have been so fun to do!

The second Detour option was a great fast-paced attention to detail task, which teams struggled in.

We finally get the Yield being used. :cheer:

The yurt making task was fun to watch, but I wish there was more to making the yurt. Like having teams put additional decorations.

Rating: 5/5

This FOUR team alliance is starting to make me sick to my stomach.
They are indeed the best teams but they are excluding Eswar & Aparna at this point?

Maybe that's just the edit for us.
Gary & DeAngelo were one of my faves but now they're not so much anymore.
Still like them better than Will/James and Hung/Chee.

Anyways, the girls are seriously doing one EPIC race, can't help but cheer for them a lot.

The meat market was also the site of one of the Detours in the first Kazkahstan visit in season 13. The building is similar what it did on S13 with signages are different as of today.

I’ve been to this meat market and I would love to see them have a task here! It’s actually a bigger market not just the meat section. Too bad they just used it as a clue spot.

I also agree with most people here, I hate seeing this alliance thing going on and the boyfriends are too manipulative, the act of persuading a non-alliance team to yield another team is too much to me. Even though I think the girls suck so bad in this race now I start to root for them, I just want this alliance to break asap

Yeah it just seemed weird to have it as the last thing before the pit stop. I feel like typically that would be a first clue of the leg sort of thing.

This does happen like when teams got a clue at a hotel after the TAR 30 Prague Roadblock or finding the clue under the plane after the TAR 17 Seoul Detour. More often than not, it's edited out.

Out of all the countries, visited this season (per the spoilers),
this was the one that I was most looking forward to. Winter Central Asian Leg!
Loved the scenery, it's definitely now part of the list of countries that I will be visiting in the future.
Per people that I know, the country is such an underrated destination.

Loved the Detours, It was well balanced. One side, a physical one doing stunts, I think there is like a sequence, timing and coordination needed and the other purely on just attention to details observing fight scenes. Amidst all the chaos, the elements, tired, it was hard. The Yurt interior design was also a nice difficult task for those who are not keen to attention to detail.
It somehow reminded me of S.25 Detour in Copenhagen, the Parklet.

The Meat Market, was a bit pedestrian as there was no task. I'm aware that this somehow pays homage to the S.13 visit to the same place but I wish there was some sort of small task involved here.

Hung & Chee, again, making a mistake helping the leeches, DeAngelo & Gary pointing the sheep's head.
Wake-up Hung & Chee! It's high time to dump the alliance! You guys are smart enough to do this.

Eswar & Aparna overdoing the Stunt Detour with her excessive forced shouting. It was fun to watch and very funny.

Will & James get the team that they have been gunning for since Leg 3 by using Kaylynn & Haley as the pawn to do their "masterplan" to get Leo & Alana with of course the much needed help from the suck-ups/push-overs, Riley & Maddisson.
Much like the same strategy that Leo & Jamal did in S.31 Laos leg. But they could have done it themselves.
It would have been legendary right? Riley & Maddisson. Will & James should have used their Yield, after all, Leo & Alana would not know that they did it until the episode airs eh?

Quote
"It's for a million dollars, not for best friends. It's not the Amazing Best Friend Race" *Plant those seeds*

:barf  B:)         Are you serious? Somebody give them a mirror.

Haley & Kaylynn, these girls again scraped through by the skin of their teeth again.
How much luck did this girls bring? They have 9 lives. Glad they used the Yield on Leo & Alana.
I found it had to be done as payback to Leo & Alana.

Glad the Yield has been used. Finally, after all the hype and promotion of it, finally it gets used on Leg 7!

Shocked that Leo & Alana got eliminated, I thought they were gonna make it but I knew they weren't going to as the confessionals, I saw Alana looking a tad angry & disappointed.

Phil announcing the Mega Leg should never been said to the teams. Let the teams strategize on their own and this should have been kept out as a surprise to the teams. Now, the alliance is going to cook out a storm helping again? I'm just hoping it crumbles so bad, It'll be fun to watch.

10/10. Stunning episode, great tasks, great scenery, subtle homage to S.13 and a full-production Pit Stop, well, the entire leg was a production with all the actors/stuntmen & women + the effects.
