I have no issue with alliances. I think the shock for fans is that the alliance just happens to include the relative strongest five teams in the race, and did not include two female teams, a 60-year-old man and his son, and a dating couple. I think that is what seems baffling, but I may be wrong. For me, it's just how the tasks are dealt with in this respect. The Roadblock last leg was less than ideal, almost a disaster on all aspects where teams could ask for outside help (Haley), teams communicating with each other w/o going back up (Aparna and Leo), and teams helping each other without having to redo the rappel (Core 5).
PLEASE bring back the two-person cow costume :funny:Don't forget to "donate" a pair of sacrificial shoes. :funny:
Mega Leg is just a fancy name for Double-Length leg?Probably. I'm not even tracking the differences between these terminologies anymore. :funny: Nothing is making sense.
So Mega leg basically two leg cramming into one, but unlike double or super leg, there is no pit stop or virtual pit stop in between cmiiw
MEGA-LEG - DOUBLE THE DETOUR, DETOUR THE ROADBLOCK.Why must they always warn teams of things. Like Yield ahead or U-Turn ahead or MegaLeg ahead. Like, let teams be surprised and not spend time strategizing about it or whatever.
Could the mega leg be why we only seemed to have one leg for Hyderabad and it turned out it was two? One very very long day?
Wow, is this one of the two or three times a team got Yielded was actually eliminated? At least in the U.S. version? :OSecond only after Danielle & Dani
Well, I never thought I would dislike a team more than Dave & Connor in the "season that shall not be named", but the boyfriends are climbing with giant steps right to the top of that scale.Surprised you say this. I actually have extremely mixed feelings about Will & James, one moment I dislike them, another I'm rooting for them - like, I wanted them to win this leg real bad over the Beards. But um. I'm really glad the Blondes were pushed into using The Yield? Am I the only one..? It's just really annoying that the Yield has now appeared on 5 legs, almost every team somewhat hyped up, and kept being unused. I'm quite sure now that we're in the F6, we'll have the remaining Yields used, too.
I feel like DeAngelo & Gary yield their alliances too much. I hope it's just them being unaware because I really don't want to dislike them.I'm pretty sure that's the case. Same as with DeAngelo acting so bratty towards Gary tonight. It's the first time I somewhat disliked watching them (especially DeAngelo), and I used to always like Gary less out of their team.

Will and James managed to get Leo and Alana out of the Race without getting blood on their hands by having another team use the YieldDustin & Kandice would be proud.

I agree with you 100%. I love Gary/DeAngelo but tonight DeAngelo was super annoying during the detour.
It was a smart choice for the girls to yield Leo/Alana.
I'm happy they survived
I'm really curious as to why Leo chose to work with Aparna, knowing they are at the bottom, but not helping the girls. Maybe it's because they don't know about the Mine-5 alliance, but still...

I've had way too much on my plate today.MEGA-LEG - DOUBLE THE DETOUR, DETOUR THE ROADBLOCK.Why must they always warn teams of things. Like Yield ahead or U-Turn ahead or MegaLeg ahead. Like, let teams be surprised and not spend time strategizing about it or whatever.
Will & James ruined the season with the dominant five team alliance. Made the show very predictable and boring to watch.
I really hate it when alliances on this show just gang up on other teams for being not in their group, intentionally try to bully the outsider into doing their bidding, and outright stop to help despite the fact that this is a Race and the "Mine Five" did all of those three on the same episode. Just sad to watch.
Wooo, I need some good Zinfandel after these two hours. :martini:

Kaylynn & Haley are also the first-ever team, in the U.S. version at least, to use the U-Turn and Yield. I feel like they deserve at least "Slowdown Duchesses" title. Will and James managed to get Leo and Alana out of the Race without getting blood on their hands by having another team use the YieldDustin & Kandice would be proud.

Or "Silent Threat". Because they knocked out the target both times. :cmas27Kaylynn & Haley are also the first-ever team, in the U.S. version at least, to use the U-Turn and Yield. I wonder if we are going to have a leg mid-point during next week's mega leg, to just to fit in the 12-leg race structure to let us count the team racing average. :didimiss:I hope this helps, it's the spoilers thread:
We do get one clear mid-point for the first mega leg in Hungary (the Internet Cafe)
The meat market was merely the location of the next clue, nothing more.
The meat market was merely the location of the next clue, nothing more.
The meat market was also the site of one of the Detours in the first Kazkahstan visit in season 13. The building is similar what it did on S13 with signages are different as of today.
I think the team should remember this iconic quote: "It's not The Amazing Friends, it's The Amazing Race."

Yeah it just seemed weird to have it as the last thing before the pit stop. I feel like typically that would be a first clue of the leg sort of thing.
