This thread is theWORKZONE of our spoilers.
This is where ALL the spoiler speculation/discussion of the TAR AUS 5 race goes, NOT in the LIVE thread. It is where we try to thrash out what the LIVE sightings mean.
(If the start is pre-announced LIVE, then we will use that thread for all sightings Start to Airport Departure.)
ALL Discussion of the LIVE Sightings and comments on them go here!
As always, per RFF's practices, we do not spoil the start location (if known) or any non-revealed teams until it is believed that the teams are safely underway. We would never want to put a team in jeopardy or cause them distress or interfere with the actual running of the race. Info on future legs may also occasionally be protected for those reasons. But if you have info to share beforehand, we would love to know, so please feel free to PM or email me! Spoilers are treasured!
This thread will be opened once the race is beginning.
-
It looks like 6 MF teams, 3 FF teams and 2 MM teams.
+ 1 MF "Salvage team". What is it supposed to mean? Any idea?
Apparently one FF team came last to task, omg, I really hope they somehow survived this, but I am not positive.
-

We probably have 12 teams and the 12th place team was saved by a Salvage Pass. This could be Leg 2.
-
Can someone start adding the contestant thread pics please? Number them by sightings or whatever.

Winton! What a weird place to start! :funny: It’s in the middle of bloody nowhere!
The longest town is Longreach, around 110 miles away. It is possible that they started in Longreach and then drove to Winton for the leg’s tasks? ???
-
Hey, Season 3 started at Uluru, remember? Literally the middle of nowhere in Australia, lol
-
Here's a bit of an insight into the dunny challenge:

There is no proof this was the START. Possible this was...or was LEG 2...
-
Wow, it's actually happening lol
Hoping the cast and crew all remain safe.
-
LONGREACH (Beau sited at airport) TO WINTON (LEG): 1 h 51 min (179 km)
via Landsborough Hwy/A2
Fastest route, the usual traffic
-
And we're off!!!
Surprised we are starting in Queensland but that's fantastic and I'm now way more excited for this season! I am in Qld too so very keen to follow them.
For a town with a tiny population, Winton has quite a lot of tourist attractions and activities. It is notably famous for having one of the largest collections of dinosaur fossil findings in Australia! I'm speculating that this would be a self-drive leg from Longreach (only 2 hrs by car)
Confirmed/speculated tasks in Winton
- Outback Dunny Derby outside Gregory Hotel - confirmed sightings of teams
- The Musical Fence Museum (potential task could involve bush orchestra) - filming sighted
- Waltzing Matilda Centre (very iconic Aussie song - would be surprised if ignored) - pure speculation
- Dinosaur Canyon Centre / Australian Age of Dinosaurs / Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways - pure speculation
Possible tasks in Longreach
- Qantas Founders' Museum (again, I would be shocked if ignored) - pure speculation
- Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame (iconic museum of outback pioneers)

Yeah, it looks like it. It will be strange to have 12 teams still racing at leg 2, 11 teams at leg 3... Unless there is some double elimination twist, considering leg 1 was NEL because of Salvage Pass being used, we will have elimination after elimination with only 1 NEL remaining. I am here for it, tbh. But kind of scared how editing will look like with so many teams racing...

Au2 did a good job in editing delivering teams’ personality enough even for an episode with 10 teams racing

3 Locations where teams were spotted. Wonder which leg we are on :
Sun - Castle Hill
Mon - Magnetic Island
Today - Picnic Bay
-
I need a MAP!! :pull
-
Magnetic Island is a fantastic location! I was just there last month and know the area well! :conf:
The island is quite small so I doubt there would be two legs there. Are we sure they were there on Monday? They seem to have definitely been at Picnic Bay (a settlement on Magnetic Island) today.
I am speculating:
- Leg 1 - Cairns (Tuesday October 6)
- Leg 2 - Longreach/Winton (Friday October 9)
- Leg 3 - Townsville (Sunday October 11)
- Leg 4 - Magnetic Island (Wednesday October 14)
-
The other bizarre thing is that there's 2 full days between Townsville and Magnetic Island sightings despite being right near each other geographically ???
Wondering if some of the Townsville leg spilled over into the 12th, otherwise we have a real long extended pitstop :duno:
-
We don't know what Covid things are happening. If they are requiring testing after every leg there could well be longer intervals between legs.
-
Looks like teams 5/11 were spotted. 5 looks like an MM team
7 MF 2 MM 3FF
-
I'm guessing we are on Leg 5 ish
Leg 3 Castle Hill/ Palm Island
Leg 4 Magnetic Island/Picnic Bay
Leg 5 Fitzroy Island
Oh and Picnic Bay Jetty was a pitstop apparently. I missed seeing the mat the other day.
-
Fitzroy and Green Island should be one leg. Not sure where Palm Island fits into this all? ???
-
They were on Green Island yesterday too, got some team pics, will get up in a bit.
Ovalorange, which teams did you have pics of, please? Any FF team? I am just really curious, lol.
-

Supposedly, Palm Island was Monday-like Peach said in the lives. Honestly, 3 and 4 could be together :duno:

Nope, it's 2 MF teams from what I can see
-
It's team 3 and team 10 per the timeline, I've added the pics in now. Sorry for the delay :)
-
Wasn't expecting them to go back up north back to Cairns! I have updated the speculated route below:
- Leg 1 - Cairns/Newell (Tuesday October 6)
- Leg 2 - Longreach/Winton (Friday October 9)
- Leg 3 - Townsville/Palm Island (Sunday October 11/Monday October 12?)
- Leg 4 - Magnetic Island - Pitstop: Picnic Bay Jetty (Wednesday October 14)
- Leg 5 - Cairns/Fitzroy Island/Green Island (Friday October 16)
-
If they were filming at Fitzroy on Friday and potentially sighted at Darwin Airport around 8am local time on Monday 19 October, I suspect they would be arriving in Darwin?
There don't seem to be any direct flights from Cairns to Darwin on Sunday or Monday that would fit that sighting ... and even via Brisbane or Adelaide does not seem as likely looking at flight times?
Alternatively, they could have flown JQ920 CNS-DRW 14:20-16:25 direct on Saturday 17 October ? And raced in Darwin on Sunday?
-
We are looking at 7 to 8 teams left. 2 to 3 spots remain
Cowboys, Team 5, 7/11 and 12
Male on Team 5, Jordan, Skye/Jake and African-Australian guy on team 12
-
Assuming this is Leg 7, we are missing 1 or 2 teams.
Teams Sighted for Leg 7: 1,2,5,7,11,12
Last Sighted in Leg 5: 3,10
Haven't been Seen since Leg 2: 4,6,9
Presumably Eliminated in Leg 2: 8
-
Leg 5 was raced by 9 teams, I think, because 2nd and last super early NEL is unlikely.
Which means that 3 of these teams were first three boots: 4, 6, 9, 8. All rootable underdog teams. Boot order is disaster, this season will not be worth watching once again.
This is problem with TARAU... They always cast superathletic boring teams and then obvious fodders who are eliminiated one by one at the beggining. It's super predictable then. I wish casting was more balanced, tbh.
-
My friend's brother lives in South Australia. He saw them in Port Lincoln doing something called "Tuna Toss" (an annual festival down there).
He said one team was very dramatic! This was today!
Article about it:

Just a thought.....are we sure about how many legs that have been filmed?
I've heard in a podcast that they have a longer filming schedule this season, due to the Corona-virus. Not sure if it's true or not, but if it's true, maybe they've only filmed 2-3 legs in Queensland, instead of 7.

We aren't sure and there hasn't been a ton of sightings. I'm guessing we are on Legs 7 to 9 with about 5 to 6 teams left.
We had 6 teams sighted last Tuesday and we might be missing 1-2 teams that day. So maybe 4 to 5 Queensland legs. :duno:

I've fallen behind on the Timeline and am updating now, but that guy you've circled on the far right is defs not the guy in Team #5. He has a full blown beard, where in the team pic that's not the case. Pretty sure there's a M/M beard team, as seen here (https://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php/topic,36427.msg1284848.html#msg1284848) that was just missed in Winton. I guess we have 13+ teams.
Assuming that is accurate... it possibly means we're looking at something longer than 12 legs. They've been moving pretty fast considering any lockdowns and have travel restrictions.
-
It's guy from team 5. They just grew beards. They were 2 weeks in quaranteene prior filming.

It's Team 5 and they are on the left in that airport pic. The sunlight may have erased their beards in that pic in Winton. :funny:
I doubt there are 13 teams.
-
Growing a beard of that length and thickness takes more than 2 weeks, probably closer to two months. I'm happy to be wrong, but I remain thoroughly unconvinced. It just does not add up to me, looks like a completely different team.
-
Isn't team 5 M/F?
-

The height difference is there but we'll see. I doubt there's 13 teams.
Isn't team 5 M/F?
Couldn't tell at first but now I think it's the MM team above.
-
Could it be an intersection task + Roadblock, involving 1 team member of each team working together with another team member in completing a task
-
We totally lost them, lol. I wonder if finale leg happened yet.
-

I believe the race is over.
-
I think so too.
-
So the white team from the promo is 13th place team, I am assuming.
I think we will have starting line/mid-leg elimination at 1st leg and team 12 will be saved by salvage pass. TAR15's scenario to prevent 2 teams being eliminated in 1 leg.

Can't be them, I assume we might even have more than 13 teams. Team 13 is seen in a later leg unless I'm mistaken. Or maybe this is Team #14 because "Team 13" has a beard? :funny:

Team 13 is seen only at starting line and then doing confessional which could be pre-race.
I mean we have video of 12 teams from leg 2, so it would be extremely strange that some team(s) picture(s) would be missing from it for some reason.
-
They are STILL RACING!!
-
This could be absolutely nothing, but Hamish & Andy have an introduction by a listener every episode of their podcast - the one from a few weeks back had a guy from Broken Hill who was "about to go out and film a secret TV project". Could we have missed a Broken Hill route marker?

Or it's not Leg 2. We could have the Salvage Pass twist be our first NEL? Honestly at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if we had FIFTEEN teams. I don't think these guys in the promo are the same as the speculated "Team #13".
-
It's very possible that we have 14 teams for some odd reason.
The Newells may have been eliminated in Newell, Queensland :funny: and we have that beard team that came after the 12 team bucket challenge.
I don't think this salvage team twist is as black and white as we think it is.
-
Sorry--- WHAT is the salvage team twist?? ???
:didimiss:
-
My current thought is could the eliminated teams possibly be running DECOY?? ???

I agree that we have 14 teams.
I compared sightings with promo and you can see bearded man legs in the promo (t-shirt and shoes are matching with photo of them we have).
I reviewed buckets video once again and you can see gap between Team 11 and Team 12 buckets. So I believe beards were doing that challenge and were using that bucket/helmet when the video was taken.
Newells are first boot for sure. I am still speculating that they are victims of starting line/midleg elimination. Team 12 probably came last 1st leg to pit stop but was saved by salvage pass.
-
If there are 12 legs as usual that would mean no NELs, I am assuming. WOW, I am here for it.
-

That's definitely never been done before. Could be an interesting experiment.
You're last, you're out.
-
Beards might be Sikh as well because they look like they are wearing something related to a turban.
4 MMs, 3 FFs and 7 MFs.
We really didn't need 7 MFs

8 MFs possibly. I think team 5 is MF. I think they are muslims because the lady looks like she is wearing hijab in that photo.

I counted Team 5 as MF - probably Dwesmond racing with his mom. That's my guess.
-
Who the 4th MM team is then?
I am aware only of 3MMs - beards, white shirts models from promo and cowboys.
-

I counted wrong LOL
You are right. 8 MFS, 3 FF and 3 MM
BTW: Malaan and Tina seem to be out because they are active on IG after a month of inactivity.
-
Filming might not necessarily be over, just...check back in 2 weeks.
If Australia's Covid rules are anything like Canada's, they may have to self-isolate at some point for crossing certain state borders. They did mention in articles that this season may take a much longer than usual filming period.

They are for sure still filming. I thought it was over the other day because of Malaan being active.
Then, film crews were spotted in Tasmania. Most of our suspected racers are offline SM; it's just Malaan and Tina active atm for some reason.
-
It may not be a 12 leg race. I thought I heard rumors about Network 10 wanting to up the number of episodes this season :duno:
-
I think the theory that we have at least 14 teams is probably right.
Rewatching this video: https://twitter.com/coasterpaul/status/1314452027401859077
There's a weird gap in between the second to last team's box shown and the last (Salvage) team's box shown. The gap looks big enough to possibly fit about 2 boxes in between them.
Could it be possible that those gaps are just from two teams that had already shown up, and being in the lead, already completed the task by the time this was filmed? That's at least what I'm thinking.
(There's also potentially enough room for a 15th box at the very end of the table too... but maybe that's just purposely how they set it up.)
-
I really wonder what leg are we in right now... Did finale leg happen yet? Can team 1 be our finalists?
-
I really wonder what leg are we in right now... Did finale leg happen yet? Can team 1 be our finalists?
Guessing finale is next and they wrap up this weekend. Team 1 is in the endgame which is good for FF teams.
-
Hi all,
Sounds like it will be a crazy season!! :) So do you think 2 teams or 3 teams to the finale?
Finale teams FM, MM (cowboys??) and ?
-
:hiya RennyClay! :welcome: to the R.F.F.!

Thank you Alenaveda!!!! :luvya:

New twist this season is that eliminated teams are sent home. Certain teams are for sure eliminated.
-
I am honestly sooo confused... Which leg are we in? This season is taking unusually long to film, isn't it?
-

Leg 14 or 15 :funny:
I can count about 13 to 14 locations

So sort of like TAR China with no eliminated teams at the Finish Line perhaps?
-
Wouldn’t be surprised if The Amazing Race Australia follows the format of Australian Survivor (and every other Australian reality show) by having large casts, long episodes and multiple episodes per week. The cheaper local version is the perfect time to experiment with a 15-20 leg season with a large cast and more non eliminations.

Is 2MM/1FF F3 confirmed?
Because lol if it's true considering that there were 6 same gender teams opposite to 8 MF teams. And from these 6 same gender teams 2 were first two boots and 3 made it to F3. So there will be back to back MF teams slaughter with blue FF team somewhere between it, lol.

???????????????

???????????????
13th - older FF team

I almost forgot but Malaan and Tina never made it to Tasmania. They resurfaced on social media before that leg.
Second, it's possible we have more undiscovered locations and teams.

With all the new videos, we (we exclude me because I'm not in Australia and can't see all the videos lol) should do a recap of all new locations revealed in the new videos.
Like Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, + we see a pitstop in that video, do we know where that is?

I'd love an updated route with links from show/media info.
If someone takes it on feel free to start a new thread something like ROUTE including media info maybe? Or add into the others. But probably best for ONE person with techy skills to do this. And the time to keep it up.

New article with Beau gives out some details:
The program was filmed between September and November.
"We had one quarantine to start, and when we got back to Sydney we finished there, and it took a couple of weeks to finish there, so we didn't have to quarantine again," Ryan said.
"We were mapping out places, some that I hadn't even heard of... Just (being able) to showcase them," he said. "Some of the islands we got off at, the top of the country, Queensland, parts of Tasmania.
Considering how we currently have the finale + our final sightings as Canberra.... maybe that could have been F4 and they actually ended in Sydney? Or is the quote just about quarantine being in Sydney? :didimiss:

I'm a bit confused about WHEN the Gold Coast leg is going to happen, because base from live sighting it's the last leg before the finale, but it seems we have a lot of teams there (including a team that is not speculated to go far...)

Can you be more specific which teams, pls?
When would make the most sense that leg happen based on route logistic?

Might have been a case where the person saw filming at Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast but did't realize it was TAR until a couple of weeks later.

It would make sense to have it before, like around the others Queenland legs.
We know this Gold Coast leg has:
- Gold Coast Aquatic Centre (Sefa and Jessica are spotted there and they are speculated to leave early-ish)
- Mike Hatcher Race Track
- AquaLoop at Wet'n'Wild Gold Coast
- Surf rescue with the Gold Coast’s Volunteer Life Saving Service (More than one teams are seen here in the Preview)
It doesn't make sense to have this a the final 4 leg

From this new article:https://tvtonight.com.au/2021/01/new-rules-on-amazing-race-australia.html
These come on top of the regular Roadblock, Detour, U-Turn, Fast Forward & Intersection.
The winning team of a non-elimination leg, gain two massive advantages:
1. They do not have to compete in the next leg. Instead, they receive a First Class Pass and are rewarded with some kind of luxury experience while the other teams continue to race.
2. They will return to the Pit Stop for the arrivals of the final two teams and
choose to Salvage one and Sabotage the other.
Salvage: A bonus or advantage of some kind given to one team. For example, the team may receive a personal driver for the next leg, they may get extra money, or they may be allowed to know what the Roadblock challenge is, before they choose who attempts it.
Sabotage: A disadvantage or setback given to one team. For example, the team may need to complete the leg with one of the team members blindfolded or tied together, they may lose all their money, or they may even have to do it barefoot.
T-Junction: A huge challenge day, only once in the Race, where all racers are split into two massive super-teams. The super-teams will be chosen by the first racers to reach the T-Junction board at the head of the episode. They will pick their super-team and the remaining teams form the second group. The teams will move through the entire race day in these two groups. Whichever group checks in second at the Pit Stop, will choose to eliminate a team from their group themselves.
I guess we now know why we had a 'Salvage team'.
BUT NOW, I think our WINTON leg 2 is actually our leg 3!!! (We know the twins are out first, before Winton, and now we know that the leg before WINTON was a Non-Elimination leg)
ALSO: This explains why Anurag/Jasikrat pictures were not there: They won that first NEL leg!!
OR, This really is leg 2, the first leg was NEL, and Alex/Jack won that leg. It seems in that video of all the team with the buckets that there is a large space between the last two buckets, and that maybe one bucket was missing because a Team was using it....
So maybe Alex/Jack are not out first after all.
-
WoW!!
AND THIS: T-Junction is a real game changer!
-
So at this point it's possible that Alex and Jack survived the first leg and were able to skip the second as a result?
Would that make Shannon and Jude the first boot or were more teams than just them NOT spotted at the next distination?
-
The first boots are actually likely Jude and Shannon.
With the new twists revealed, either the twin models or the Muslim team won the first leg and chose to salvage Holly and Dolor:
https://twitter.com/coasterpaul/status/1314452027401859077
There's a bucket missing between the third to last and last bucket on the table. That must mean that either the twin models or the Muslim guys arrived there first and took it. The other one isn't competing in the leg.
We know through the social media tweet that Shannon and Jude are therefore likely the last team and eliminated.
Although I'm thrilled the twin models aren't out first it's also very sad, they seem like sweet ladies and it's never fun when the obvious first boot team in fact does go home first.
Amazing Race Australia is just honestly too physically hard I feel like. The out of shape females always go home early, the only exception being Lucy and Emilia (and they had well God looking out for them to say the least given the amount of luck they had in that race).
-
Looks like Winton is leg 3, as per the new episode description that just dropped for Wednesday:
Seeking help from the locals for an iconic outback challenge, the Dunny Derby, their newfound friends must take their place on the 'throne' for a race across town.
So based on that I'd say the twin models are sadly toast in Leg 1.
-
Crap, yeah probably than.
Unless they got those descriptions mixed up. Not sure how often/if that ever happens?
-
WoW!!
AND THIS: T-Junction is a real game changer!
Only in the sense that it's literally "screw this, we're doing Survivor for an episode".
-
There was moment of Beards/Cousins/Cowboys/Dancers hugging in one of the promos so I am assuming it was from T-Junction and based on numbers of teams it happened in F8. The other team would be then AMANDA & ASH/CHRIS & ALEISHA/SKYE BLUE & JACK and one unkown team who would be voted out and placed 8th if this team lost. Which is very possible because the team from the promo was hugging and celebrating...
-
Honestly, with there being an estimated 21-24 legs, it's possible that the first episode ends with a "you're still racing/double length leg." Followed by it being non-elimination the next episode.
-

Do we know where they are at 2:06?
Hot air balloon in what looks like a desert climate.
I'm trying to possibly make out the teams on the hot air balloon
-
It's Alice Springs.
-
Oh, so if we find out who it is in the hot air balloon we could find out some of the people who make it that far.
The only one I can make out for sure is Dolor.
Are the two females on the far left Ashleigh and Amanda do you think?
You can improve the video quality btw, which makes it easier to see
-
The hot air balloon looks like it has Amanda and Ashleigh in the front left.
On the right side, it looks like the back has some dark haired male or female and the twin models next to them.
In front of them is Dolor (I assume Holly must be next to him off-camera) and next to him is Skye-Blue and Jake.
That's what it looks like to me anyway

There is another shoot of air ballon in 0:15. https://twitter.com/amazingrace_au/status/1351635546397761537
I see Amanda & Ashleigh, Holly & Dolor, Skye Blue & Jake and Ashley from Ashley & Chris, so 4 teams. In the shoot right next to it in that promo you can see another different 4 teams hugging. So my guess is this is our F8 and these shoots are from T-junction.
-
If they’re down to only 8 teams on Alice springs (rumored leg 9 of 24), this is going to be a LONG last half to the race. Unless there’s actually five teams on the hot air balloon so we have 10 teams at that time.
-
The Sikh guys aren’t in either grouping of four though and we know they make it that far.
So either:
1. They won the previous leg and was non-elimination (though I don’t know how salvage would work in this case)
2. There’s five teams per grouping so 10 racers at this point
3. There’s 3 groupings of 4, so 12 racers at this point
-
There has been a HUGE amount of great detecting going on in the ROUTE thread.
If you haven't yet read it you may want to take a look.
With that detecting has come some great team speculation placements which I am going to move here.
If anything looks out of sync go check out the route thread!

Do we have all this about Port Lincoln? At 4:48+

I see beards and cowboys in first air baloon in the promo.
2nd air baloon in the promo is better view of already identified teams - Amanda & Ashleigh, Holly & Dolor, Skye Blue & Jake and Ashley & Chris.
It's most likely T-junction. Alice Springs is too early for them to eliminate 8th place team imo so I am speculating this is F10 and the shot of 4 teams hugging is after they survived this twist after eliminating one other unknown team.
-
I speculated that but if the bears are on that team than that doesn't make sense as they can't eliminate them. So possibly the beards are just out of site during them hugging?
I guess I'm confused where you're seeing Chris and Aleisha in the promo though?
What I see is that on the right side of the hot air balloon in the back are (from left to right): Holly and the twin models
In the front right side of the balloon I see (left to right): Dolor, Skye Blue, and Jake
On the left side in the front I see what I think is Ashleigh and Amanda
In the back of the left side I can't make out who it is but I'm pretty certain there's somebody there as one of the proms show people waving from the back left side. I think they may be lying down in that one promo as I can vaguely make out two heads moving
-
So I could be very wrong but I think it is:
Team A: Alex and Jack, Amanda and Asheigh, Holly and Dolor, Skye-Blue and Jake, mystery fifth team?
Team B: Brendon and Jackson, Dwes and Katherine, Jaskirat and Anurag, Jordan and Violeta, Sefa and Jessica
Unknown (one of these are on team A): Chris and Aleisha, Jobelle and Rani, Jude and Shannon, Malaan and Tina, Shane and Deb
It looks like Jude and Shannon are probably the first boots at this point. Whoever the last team is on team A you can see a white (or possibly Asian I guess) hand waving so it can't be Malaan and tina.
-
I asked ALen to get us a better one but for now:
-
Thanks for this. Could you see if you could also get a better quality photo of the other hot air balloon one? (The one we think the cowboys, Sikhs, etc. are in).
-
Guessing we have 16 legs. 24 is too much
16 legs means we have to eliminate 11 teams in 15 legs for a final 3. 4 non-elims.
Final 8 seems pretty clear more or less.
-
(1) It's an Australian reality show and usual rules do not apply.
(2) It was filmed during Covid Times when they were struggling to make new content and usual rules do not apply.
(3) These producers have already established they don't particularly care for many of the standard elements of the TAR format.
(4) We have evidence of at least 20 legs.

If its another post the link and the approx time and I'll try. Couldn't get a very clear one.
Remember too that Alenaveda has already screencapped several of the promos for us:

Best I can do. Little more brightness, more contrast; but every time I try to zoom, the cap is less clear
-
Thanks for doing this!
Yeah, I think it's Amanda and Ashleigh on the front left of the car.
In the back right (in left to right order): Holly and the model twins
In the front right I think it is Dolor, Skye Blue, and Jake
Not sure who is in the back left yet
-
(https://i.ibb.co/BBF4Bm5/10000000-676752512999069-8502046916984601866-n126-100.png)
Best I can do. Little more brightness, more contrast; but every time I try to zoom, the cap is less clear
I see:
Aleisha (front left) & Chris (back left)
Asheligh (front left) & Amanda (her face is not really seen, probably hiding back left like Chris, she is person wearing a cup behind Ashleigh, I guess.)
Dolor (front right) & Holly (back right)
Skye Blue (front right)
And now there is obviously Jake. But I am not sure which one of three guys at right he is . Are the other 2 guys model twins (who are highly speculated to be first team eliminated) or are they just someone from production? It would make sense that Jack is the one behind Skye Blue (sitting next to Holly) based on the sitting pattern of previous three teams - one team member at front and the other one at back.
-
:tu Alen, that's great!
-
I really think that's Amanda/Ashleigh in the front and not Aleisha. They have the exact same hair and outfit at 0:32 in this promo:
https://www.facebook.com/AmazingRaceAU/videos/795015301048743
Also, I would think they'd be sitting next to one another, not behind each other.
It's very possible that's Chris in the back left though and therefore Aleisha is next to him
-
If in fact these are our top 10 teams (which there's a very good chacne there are), really the underdog teams were slaughtered. Sefa and Jessica are really the only underdog team remaining.
-

Chris is in the back for sure.
It is blonde woman sitting next to Ashleigh. Amanda is not blonde and that woman really looks like Aleisha. Also Holly and Dolor are sitting behind each other so these two teams can sit like that as well. I think it is pattern.
Honestly it doesn't even matter who is sitting where because we know that both Amanda & Ashleigh and Chris & Aleisha are at this air ballon based on Ashleigh and Chris being identified there.
-
I don't think she's blodne, I think it is just the sunlight hitting her head. But yeah, you're right it doesn't matter.
-
This is what I am speculating based on the sightings, promos and info we have:
1st leg - Alex & Jack eliminated
2nd leg - NEL leg, Super Sikhs won and marked Holly & Dolor as salvage team
3rd leg - Jude & Shannon most likely eliminated based on report of them being last during task at that leg
Then there are some legs between which end up with elimination of Jobelle & Rani, Shane & Deb and Mallan & Tina in unknown order. Maybe someone can clarify order of their elimination by analyzing promos featuring them? Like in what leg they were last seen in the promo...
Darwin leg (LEG 8?) - Sefa & Jessica eliminated at 9th place.
Next leg in Alice Springs - we are speculating is T-junction based on the promos. We already identified 2 megateams who were competing and based on the fact that we already know F5 and Holly & Dolor were seen in next leg - either Dancing exes or Cousins were eliminated at 8th, unless T-junction leg was NEL.
7th-6th place - Holly & Dollor, one of Dancing exes or Cousins (maybe both if T-junction leg was NEL).
5th place - Skye Blue & Jake
4th place - Aleisha & Chris
F3 - Amanda & Asheligh, Super Sikhs, Cowboys
I am expecting LOT OF NELS after Darwin/Alice Spring leg. Keep in mind Tasmania's legs were last minute additions so they had to add some NELS and replan the route.
-
Also I honestly think this T-junction end up with NEL or there was some kind of twist to save team who was voted out by other teams. Australian Survivor was doing this kind of "fake" twists all the time... It would be just too controversial eliminating strong team in TAR because of decision of other teams, imo.
-
I’m pretty sure that’s the twin models in the hot air balloon so my guess is the first leg is “keep on racing”, followed by a non elimination and Jude and Shannon going home first
-

We will find out tomorrow, I guess.
First two legs being KOR/NELs is pretty unusual but I believe it happened in international TARs before.
To be fair, arguably most fit and athletic team in the cast being first team eliminated does not make sense... But I really hope twin models will be eliminated tomorrow, because my god if they survive this would be literally the most predictable boot order ever with all underdogs teams dropping back to back .... to back from the beggining.
-
I’m pretty sure the premiere is tonight actually.
Although if that’s leg 9 and there’s ten teams and a team goes home the first leg than regardless there will two legs in a row without anybody going home.
We shall see though lol

Based on your post, I'm guessing the order is
Alex/Jack
Jude/Shannon
Shane/Deb
Jobelle/Rani
Malaan/Tina
Sefa/Jessica
Des/Katherine
Holly/Dolor
Jordan/Violeta
Skye/Jake
Chris/Aleisha
Final 3: Amanda/Ashleigh, Anurag/Jasikrat, Brendan/Jackson
3 bolded are unsure but they resurfaced on social media around the endgame. I believe Jordan and Violeta made it farther.
Des was definitely active by the time the first promo came out and he was identified so I put him at 8th.
I'm pretty sure anyone currently in 7th or higher made it to Tasmania!
-
Not sure why you have Alex and Jack as the first boots but other than that looks right.
-
Jude and Shannon I think are first boots.
Next three (not sure the order) are Malaan/Tina, Deb/Shane, and the father and daughter.
The final 3 are the Sikhs, Cowboys, and Ashleigh/Amanda.
-
Of course the un-physically fit teams go first :(
-
Yeah, with the sighting of what I think is the twins in the hot air balloon shot, it's really a bloodbath of the "underdog" teams sadly. Although I am happy it seems the models probably aren't the first boot it's also not that exciting seeing all the underdog teams go out early.
Sefa and Jessica are really the only non-underdog team to make top 10. I guess possibly Amanda and Ashleigh? Although I'd probably put them and Malaan/Tina in kind of a second tier of underdogs.
Jude/Shannon are about as underdog as you get. The parents and the mother/daughter are also pretty big underdogs.
-
I don't really agree with all these assumptions about the boot order. We have 20+ potential legs, with supposedly a multitude of NELs dispersed in between. There's plenty of opportunities for teams to slip through the cracks as we have very few confirmed sightings. Not seen doesn't mean eliminated, particularly when we can't even confirm the route order or number of legs.
Also not seeing the twins at all in the balloon shot, can you circle which two racers you think they are?
-
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kX2fq_br1gcYzb5u-iSny4WSB89A2zfG/view?usp=sharing
here's a link to the photo with who I think is the twins circled
-
I have seen some of you saying that leg 1 could be a KOR, and I would love to see it because Net10 Amazing Race has not had an KOR so this would be something fun to see because probably most of the teams have only seen S4, and there would be a shock to the teams. However, I don't think this season is going to have KOR legs because I feel like that would have been one of the twists that they announce, and how would this work with the First Class Pass?
-
I'm pretty sure the Sikhs are winning.
Great edit with unnecessary content this first episode.
Amanda and Ashleigh are being edited as ditz.
The cowboys weren't shown any photos/not a ton of personal content
-
This is really confusing.
I wonder if the twins quit and the cousins are allowed to come back.
I still think that's the twins in the hot air balloon though
-
I did not watch last episode yet.
But I am just really confused... Are they bringing back already eliminated team of Dwes & Katherine to replace model twins and run LEG 3 like nothing happened while poor moms will be racing with sabotage disatvantage that leg? How is that fair?
-
I think the Kimberly cousins just were allowed to continue racing but not actually be in the show/compete. Or at least that’s my best guess at the moment. Probably that opportunity was given to all the eliminated teams but not all of them took it
-
Well we know they will be in the next episode base on that video we had from live sighting (from that challenge showing Holly/Dolor as Savaged team) and I think we also have pictures of them in some tasks from upcoming legs.
So my best guess is...
The twins quit too close to the start of the leg that the cousins were not able to start on time. So they had to make them start on LEG 3 (and anyway leg 2 was NEL) but that being said... it's not very fair for the Moms who got a penalty. So maybe the cousins will also get that sabotage penalty, one person can't speak for that leg?
Had we not have that sighting video from live, I would have guess there was some kind of competition between eliminated teams in leg like 9-10, to get a chance to come back but we know they will be there in leg 3, so...
-
This is really confusing.
I wonder if the twins quit and the cousins are allowed to come back.
I still think that's the twins in the hot air balloon though
Yep. This leg had the unusual situation of a team quitting on a pre-determined non-elimination. I don't think that's ever happened in any TAR before. So they probably brought back the cousins as a consolation to fix the number of teams they meant to have at this point.
-
If the cousins do return this coming leg, and are not given any penalty, that is highly unfair on the Mums I think.
-
I'm just crossing my fingers that the Kimberley cousins just kept on racing despite being eliminated.
Nothing against them but it's just really unfair that they get to return after taking a leg off.
-
I'm surprised we didn't get more sightings especially at the pitstop for the gold coast leg.

At 0:33, lining the promo up with the order of the buckets in the spoiler, it looks like Jude and Shannon's bucket is actually full.
Holly and Dolor obviously haven't gotten much and Malaan and Tina don't have anything

Look at 0:13 - Dwes and Katherine spotted in the background. Looks likely they do return for Leg 3. I do hope they are penalized like Jude and Shannon.
-
I think I'm done with this season tbh assuming the Kimberley cousins return.
That's just ridiculous and cheapens the show that they allow a team to return after skipping a leg

Me too, that’s completely unacceptable. Especially if they’re not penalized meanwhile the moms are.

They added Legs while they were running? So strange.
