Premiership Swan NICK SMITH has announced his retirement after 13 years with the club.
North Melbourne rookie TOM WILKINSON has also quit the Kangaroos to be part of the next season of The Amazing Race Australia with Paul Roos' son Tyler.

One team has already been speculated!
Tom Wilkinson is a an AFL rookie listed player with North Melbourne. He will be participating on the Race with Tyler Roos (son of AFL great Paul Roos!)

Found this today! Basically confirms Tom & Tyler's participation on the Race, with a picture included for future reference! :waves:
Tyler Roos, the son of AFL great Paul Roos, will join North Melbourne rookie player Tom Wilkinson on the new reality show, according to a report published on the AFL website.
Tyler Roos, who plays as a midfielder for the Southport Football Club, attempted to hide his association with the program by media outlets he was moving to the US for a work opportunity. Roos has had an impressive season for Southport where he was in line to win a Most Valuable Player award.
Wilkinson joins the reality show after an ankle injury prevented him from playing football for much of this season. The young player has reportedly quit North Melbourne for the TV opportunity, believing he was about to be let go from the VFL side.
Filming on The Amazing Race Australia is about to commence with teams flying out to a secret location this week.
News of a revival for The Amazing Race Australia was first confirmed by TV Blackbox in May, however the network has waited until now to confirm our report.
The series is expected to air across the final weeks of 2019 with 10 preparing to launch a massive advertising blitz timed to coincided with the networks big budget Melbourne Cup coverage.
On commissioning the series, Network 10's Chief Content Officer, Beverley McGarvey, said:
“We cannot wait to bring The Amazing Race back to Australian audiences. It is a perfect blend of action, drama and captivating characters. We look forward to rounding out our 50-week schedule with an epic and fun adventure series”
The Australian version of the show will be hosted by former NRL Footy Show and Sunday Night Takeaway presenter, Beau Ryan, and will feature a handful of Aussie hopefuls who will tackle trains, planes and automobiles in a mad dash across the globe while competing for a $500,000 first prize.
The US version of Amazing Race, hosted by Phil Keoghan, has been a consistent part of the CBS (Owner of Network 10) schedule since 2001.
On his new role, Beau Ryan, said:
“I’m really pumped to be hosting one of the biggest franchises on Australian TV. I jumped at the chance to combine two of my favourite things, people and travel. I can’t wait to get started. May the best team win!”
Co-creator and Executive Producer of Amazing Race, Bertram van Munster said:
“We are thrilled to bring the Amazing Race back to Australia and to be working with the wonderful talented people at Network 10 and Eureka.”

Tim and Rod are a married couple and are personal trainers.
Ash and Sid are a couple and entrepreneurs of some sort.
Jasmine and Jerome are an aboriginal couple.
Rowah Hassan & Amani Mawass - Rowah founded the Fun Fit Kids Gym.
Alana Pappas & Niko Pappas - I believe they are siblings as well.
Femi Ogunsiji & Nicholas Evbuowman - Their story is related to fitness/health as well. Nic is a health coach.

The team in red in considerably shorter than everyone else in the starting line-up. Guess that's Viv & Joey.

Yeah, It looks like Judy & Terese are really 1st boot as was expected. Their promo showed them only in South Korea while Femi & Nick's promo showed them in multiple countries all the way to Africa.
There could still be chance of them being 2nd boot I guess, if there were 2 legs in South Korea and Alana & Niko's promo will not show them outside of South Korea as well.

I am just glad they were casted to add some uniqness to the cast. Can't wait to watch them in that 1 episode. TARUS would never cast them, because they are both older than 39, good that Australia is not ageist.
