Start date/First leg location/Flights
Came across information that suggested the start date would be the 10th. Same starting day as the last season to shoot in the summer (TAR29).
The first destination is expected to be Tokyo, Japan. Teams are believed to be on American Airlines 169 departing at 12:25 pm. We also believe there might be a second flight in American 8407 departing at 1:15pm.
This could possibly be a connection to somewhere else. There is past precedence for this, for ex. TAR26 flew to Tokyo via Taipei.

The Later flight is on Japan Airlines. Japan Airlines has a hub at NRT and American and Japan are alligned airlines. So a connection is very much possible and I'm hopeful for a domestic connection. I doubt it's Taiwan as they''d probablu take the direct Eva Air and China Air flights.

Well, I usually like Japanese legs, and we haven't had a visit since S26, so I'm optimistic. The last legs there were pretty trash though, but a night leg seems promising.
I would also be happy if they only flew to Tokyo to get a train/bus to another city, but that doesn't seem that likely.

Is it possible there's only a Route Marker in Tokyo and that clue tells teams to take a train somewhere else? I assume the Starting Line clue only tells them where to go once they arrive in Tokyo. So the teams assume a full Leg in Tokyo not knowing they're not staying there? :duno:

This is total spec no evidence at all but: 2 legs in Japan, fly out of Narita on Wednesday for PNG (direct flight there)

Except that "case in point" is factually incorrect: the Head-to-Head only took place in Antwerp and St. Tropez, not "in three legs".

I could make out The Reilly Sisters, Rupert & Eliza and Corinne. I know someone asked before if those jellyfish in the sky were only decorations, it actually looks like its apart of the first task?

Tokyo's great, but it would be awesome if they immediately speed off on a train to somewhere else in Japan.

About that jellyfish task that I'd seen on some of the pictures on this post, if their 1st leg for TAR 31 is really somewhere in Japan, FYI they even have a meal for that but unfortunately in spite it is their delicacy, the jellyfish known for the locals as Echizen kurage or also known as Nomura's Jellyfish is one of the most poisonous jellyfish in the world:
