Previously on TAR, 10 teams raced from Iceland to Antwerp, Belgium and took a bite out of Joey's energy. Cedric & Shawn rebounded from leg 1. Cody & Jessica took the win home after the first head-to-head! Meanwhile, Henry & Evan lost and lost and lost, until Evan fell at the finish. Duking it out in the final race, the goat yogas and firefighters competed and resulted in April & Sarah losing the race.
9 teams remain, who will be eliminated next?!

Cody & Jessica are the first to depart at 6:51 AM. They must fly to tangier, morocco and travel by taxi to the fish port to find one of three marked bins in a sea of chaotic amount of boats. They must organize anchovies properly to the fisherman's approval to receive their next clue.
Basketballers and Skiiers leave 2nd and 3rd.
Trevor & Chris: Is Morocco French of Spanish? The question of life.
Alex & Conor depart 5th and Lucas & Brittany depart 6th.
Meanwhile, cody & Jessica and Henry & Evan are shown chatting about the Yale wizards' sad attempts at the head-to-head battles.
All teams are shown to have arrived with Eric & Daniel show up to much appreciation.

Kristi & Jen are talking about not having many all-female teams winning the race prior. Cody & Jessica talk about their BB life preparing them for the race.

And we return with teams in Tangier and are nearly trampling each other for taxis to the port. Animosity finally to the fish market! Woohoooo! Cody knows some Moroccans speak Arabic, as well as Evan who studied Arabic in Marrakesh (cheaters, lol). Eric & Daniel are hollering at their taxi drivers and Trevor & Chris are hitting some major cultural incomprehension.
Lucas & Brittany arrive at the bins 1st! They begin the anchovy task. Trevor & Chris and Team Big Brother arrive next. Cedric GAGGED and CHUNKED at the site of it, wowza.
Kristi & Jen's taxi are lost and are playing charades with him to take them to the fish market.
ALex & Conor arrive next. Kristi & Jen are continued to become more lost in navigation. Meanwhile at the fishies, Jessica appreciates the fish while Alex & Conor are struggling a bit.
Kristi & Jen take off from their taxi and try sprinting on foot to the port. "This sucks!" said Kristi quietly.

Kristi & Jen believe they are done for. The Medina is not petite whatsoever. They ask a biker and receive directions to the port successfully!
Meanwhile, the fish are grossing some people out - except for Tim who is clearly loving herrings raw. The biggest detail was to have the fish face in the right direction and not let them slide down from the stack. Cody & Jessica receive their next clue!
Make your way to Kisariate Jbala Souk and greet "As-salam" to the man sitting with the Travelocity Roaming Gnome to find the next clue underneath.
Meanwhile, Kristi & Jen LOVE fish and take no prisoner with this task. Henry & Evan and Eric & Daniel catch up to Cody & Jessica in the meantime. Cedric & Shawn depart 6th from the fish and Lucas & Britt have fallen to 7th while Kristi & Jen bump up to 8th. Alex & Conor are frustrated.
"Up a hill!" Luke & Britt and Kristi & Jen band together while Alex & Conor receive their clue from the fish task.

Joey & Tim arrive at the souq, but don't notice the gnome. They go back outside and search some more. Meanwhile, Evan & Henry greet the man and receive their clue and gnome combo. They encounter a roadblock: "Who's ready to rock the kasbah?"
Jason Bourne was performed here where numerous stunts were filmed. One team member must go to the American Legation building with their gnome. At the rooftop, the gnome will be ziplined to another rooftop on a random Tangier building which teams must navigate the streets to find in order to receive their next clue.
Followed by all other teams with Joey & Tim finally rediscovering the kasbah in last. LOL Cody & Jess and the firefighters get to the building followed by many other teams. "Where is the gnome?" It's like Where's Waldo... "I hated that game" - season 14 Kisha & Jen reference.
Henry & Evan and Cody & Jess find the gnome and figure out their must travel to the Kasbah Museum to send off the gnome again. Everyone is neck and neck.
Cedric is the first to arrive, bounding back from that terrible leap from that first rooftop. :lol3: Everyone is confused where he sent his gnome.

We return with Chris realizing Cedric didn't have his gnome and was casually walking. Trailing teams all caught up and are on their way to the second zipline. "Down the hill and right again" - Brittany.
Cedric is staring at the route of the zipline and is getting progressively tired due to the narrow structures of Tangier buildings. He is POOPED! Conor is next to follow and is accustomed to the heat, duration, and endurance due to his Indy experience. Meanwhile, Kristi and Chris reach the boutique where they must insert coins from their pouch
Teams must travel to a blue teleboutique to receive a special message saying good morning and report it to the manager to receive their next clue. "DO NOT OPEN YOUR CLUE UNTIL REUNITED WITH YOUR PARTNER!"
Cedric super confused due to not finding his coins in the gnome's pouch. Henry receives his clue and following is Cedric finally realizing this revelation. Everyone on their way back to the souq.

Henry & Evan reveal the Detour clue 1st: Drop It Off or Shake It Off
In Drop It Off, teams must deliver the produce in wagons to different addresses to receive stamps. They must trade the receipts with the head produce vendor to receive their next clue. In Shake, teams must belly dance to look for three words spelling out the name of the Detour.
Brittany, Tim, and Jessica are back at it with the teleboutique. Brittany forgets her gnome and Jessica does not feel bad knowing she is in dead last.
Eric & Daniel are at the Drop Detour and most climb up the sloping streets with the pumpkins. On the other side, Alex & Conor are dancing along while only Henry and not Evan is shaking. They are searching.
Brittany has an epiphany that she forgot her gnome and calls on "her race mom", Jessica, to remember where she put him at? Huh.

We come back with Brittany in distress. She is calling out to Jessica for help. Tim catches a lucky break. Brittany realizes she let Jessica drop off her gnome and she forgets it. Tim & Joey and Lucas & Brittany race back to the souq while Cedric is hopelessly lost and passes the souq. He is LOST LOST LOST! And he finally finds the souq with cheering Moroccans in the background.
Meanwhile at the belly dance party, Alex & Conor are the worst dancers ever while discovering the clues on the stomachs. Henry & Evan also see the trend too. But Yale are first to get the task correct and head to the PIT STOP!
Moulay Hafid Palace, built in the 19th century by a sultan, is the Pit Stop for this leg of the race. Last team to arrive may be eliminated.
Meanwhile, the wagoners are struggling. Cody & Jess switch from Drop to Shake due to the exhaustion of the Roadblock. Lucas & Brittany push through with strength! Meanwhile, Eric & Dan receive their 1st stamp.
Henry & Evan are running to the Pit Stop, found a taxi, while ALex & Conor forget their gnome back at the belly dance club before going back in their taxi. Trevor & Chris and Kristi & Jen are dancing for their clues while the latter get the clue, followed by the orchestra boys. Eric & Daniel still running with their 2nd batch while Lucas & Britt delivered the 1st batch. Eric & Daniel deliver their final set and back to the wholesale they go! Cedric & Shawn struggling with the carts.
And we are at the Pit Stop! Drums and musicians with a mad dash by Yale and Indy!!!! And Henry & Evan arrive 1ST while Alex & Conor and 2ND. And Kristi & Jen and Trevor & Chris magically come from behind in 3rd and 4th. Henry & Evan are awarded with NOTHING.... just kidding, a trip to Zurich, Switzerland! Finally.

Probably best to avoid those market searching/delivery tasks, which come up in some form every season, if possible. They are easily the more time-consuming Detour almost always.

Lucas & Brittany receive their 3rd receipt and head back to the wholesale. Cedric & Shawn finally deliver their 1st cart and are on their way to the pumpkin station. Joey & Tim and Cody & Jess are neck and neck and are trying to find the clue. Though Cody & Jess get their clue while Joey is just not helping whatsoever - wow.
Lucas & Britt receive their Pit Stop clue while Cedric & Shawn trail with their final delivery.
Cody & Jessica are TEAM NUMBER 5! Jessica defines her love for Cody as ever-growing! Finally a good change from the horrors of Brenchel. And Lucas & Brittany are struggling with a taxi while Eric & Daniel and Joey & Tim get their next clue.
Joey & Tim are lost and confused in navigation. "Tim, get my bag. I can't do it!"
Meanwhile, Cedric & Shawn are returning to the wholesale to trade their receipts. Cedric is exhausted! He spoke about his previous heart attacks and is bumbling with a no-quit attitude. "You gotta drag me out of here Phil!"
Joey & Tim arrive in 6TH PLACE!

Meanwhile, the basketballers, Eric & Daniel and Lucas & Brittany take a taxi to the Pit Stop. It's a foot race, y'all!
And Eric & Daniel come in 7TH PLACE! Followed by Lucas & Brittany in 8TH, a very close shave.
Cedric & Shawn slow-run to the mat and are excited to see Phil. Unfortunately, they are the last team to arrive... but this is a non-elimination Leg and are still in the race! They will encounter a Speed Bump in the following leg.
Cedric: "We're going into overtime, Speed Bump, we're coming for you!"

There is no one team that I dislike and there has been enough place changing throughout the legs to keep me interested in the episode while it is airing. Looking forward to 2 hours next week.

the fish was also good and the Pit Stop was pretty and apparently confusing to find so if I ignore the imbalanced Detour this was an excellent leg. I can't though, so it's only a good leg. Perfect for an NEL though :cmas9

Might I say this. Cedric was the FIRST to find that second tough-to-locate zipline during that Roadblock. And he and Shawn were still the LAST to depart from that task. A golden Roadblock moment in recent seasons! Goes to truly show that even one task can make or break you at the same time. This time, both.

Guess no "damage control" had to be done since it was Brittany's fault for leaving it. TAR just made it seem like Jess stole it and made gullible people believe it in the preview like last week with Joey's "broken leg"

Overblown. People who hated Jess and Cody during big brother were excited that others would get to see their "true personalities" and got disappointed lol. It was a smart move. Jess doesn't have to be Brittany's mother and tell her that she left her gnome. It's a race for a million dollars, not some schoolyard game. I have a feeling it may lead to some sort of drama down the road between Jess & Cody and Brittany & Lucas though.

This happened in Season 25, Episode 5, when Nici was the last to leave the tannery and ended up coming back in 1st place. Coincidentally, this was also in Morocco. Morocco seems to be GREAT for chaotic Roadblocks like the one in this episode! Absolutely loved this Roadblock.
Tbh, the Detour kind of killed the whole episode's momentum. Such basic TAR tasks and one's way easier than the other. Oh well. At least teams were mostly on top of each other this leg!
Standouts: Yale, Extreme, Big Brother, Ocean Rescue, NBA, IndyCar
Don't care: Violinists, Firefighters, Eaters

The episode was great! The active route info was a good task to scramble up the teams. The roadblock was exciting and I loved how they showed off the scenery. The zip-lining gnome was also extremely cute. The detours were unbalanced, but that did not ruin the episode for me. The only thing that bothered me was how little screen time the Eaters got at the beginning. I almost forgot they were there. Other than that, great leg and I'm excited for next week's two hour episode!

This episode was amazing. The first fish task was great. The roadblock was amazing, kinda reminded me of the TAR 2 Aussie slang task, as the person doing the roadblock wasn't able to see his/her partner after all of it was done, but harder. But, when they thought it was over they had to complete a detour that was simpler than the roadblock. I am excited for the two-hour episode next week.

Does anybody remember how much we agonized over the 8 blue decorations on the roof where we though the Gnomes were standing and how we could be down to 8 teams already? Duh.

From now on, when I'm exhausted and forgetting everything, I'll think of Cedric. Three heart attacks & he's racing around the world? That's impressive.

This was the first episode this season that had my heart racing, like the old days of TAR. Really good leg. The Road Block was difficult -- GOOD!
The Detours were lopsided, but again my favorite thing about that was that Cody and Jessica immediately realized that and changed. In the extra scenes posted on TAR's YouTube channel, Shawn and Cedric say that they wish they had done the same. That after the grueling RB, all that running around was too much.
Conor of Team Indy is surprisingly bad and is getting an idiot edit. It's like he can't do any task Alex is like, that's no excuse. I wonder if he's ever had to survive on his own before?
I feel like Shawn does nothing on his team, just like we see none of the male lifeguard.
Well Strung is almost invisible. They seem like they know the race and have funny moments, so I'm not sure why they are being ignored.
Glad we got a little more of the twins tonight.
There really isn't any benefit so far of coming in above last place. All the teams are on the same flights, getting to the starting point for each leg at the same time. Will that change or is it just the travel on the legs/tasks that determine TAR now?

Best episode so far, but it's crazy how little screen time The Eaters, and Well Strung have gotten. :(
Dreading the thought of ANOTHER Face Off next week. :groan:

Episode 3
After all the drama of the Head-to-Head, which we'll probably get more of, this leg felt like a back to basics somewhat similar to TAR 25's Marrakesh leg.
Last week, I mentioned how I loved teams getting lost in the confusing streets of Antwerp. This leg improved on that immensely. With the language barrier and the narrow confusing streets, the self-navigation was a perfect combination this leg.
Brittany continues to provide random hilarious moments like apologizing to the fish. :cmaslol
Eric & Daniel's dad jokes appeared. :cmaslol
Props to Cedric for persevering through the leg.
With regards to the Brittany & Jess controversy, I don't think Jess intentionally sought to hinder Brittany by putting her gnome down, she just took advantage of Brittany forgetting it. (It's a RACE, you have to take advantage of the mistakes of others)
Fish ARI: Considering we don't often get ARIs, this was a nice task. It incorporated a local job and was a good attention to detail task.
Rooftop Roadblock: This task was AWESOME. I loved that there were multiple steps to complete the task. It added on to the confusing navigation of the city. So many teams got lost. Every team had a chance to jump ahead or fall behind.
Deliver Detour: Pretty good. More self-navigation in a confusing city.
Bellydance Detour: Definitely the easier of the 2, but nice to see belly dancing incorporated. Considering this was a NEL, the imbalance isn't as bad.
Definitely the best leg of the three, and we'll see what I'll think of the Head-to-Head returning.

Good setting and also placement changes (the basketball guys from first to last), and lots of navigation.
Though the detour had one task much easier than the other and Phil made the non-elimination too predictable by dragging it out at the mat.

Just watched the episode and wow. This is by far the best episode, it's better than the Premiere leg and a step-up from the second leg. TAR 25's Morocco legs were awesome, this time around it was better. A nice beautiful port city of Tangier. The ARI was a good addition, very detail oriented and helped with the daily lives of Moroccan fishermen. The Roadblock really paid homage to one of my favorite movies, the Bourne Ultimatum and that task proved to be a hard one for the Racers. One of the best Roadblocks to date. The Detours were slightly imbalanced. The Belly Dancing Detour was easy if it you paid attention to detail. It could have been harder if there was an extra element on that task. Still, Team Chomp had a hard time with it. The Delivering Detour of course was physical and I find it surprising that 4 teams initially chose this option with Cody & Jessica switching, very smart move of them. Also, the language barrier between the teams and the navigation issues was great to watch. Props to Evan & Cody for speaking Arabic, knowing various languages prove to be a great tool on the Race and would come in handy. Cedric, what a revelation. 3 heart attacks, and at 48, definitely an inspiration, never gave up. Jessica's kindness to Brittany proved to be an asset to her. Brittany got carried away by the excitement and finding 2 Moroccan women to help her causing her to forget her gnome. Kristi & Jen's determination surprises me. I love their fighting spirit and their goal to be the 4th F/F team to win the Amazing Race. Love Alex & Conor, Kristi & Jen, Henry & Evan, Lucas & Brittany and Cody & Jessica. Overall this was a great episode. This is how the Race should be made. We're back to the glory days.

I'm still too busy to write the full review, but I'd say there's a lot of good stuff this leg, except the detour. Imbalanced detours are awful.

Overall a great leg, but the imbalanced detour ruined the momentum.
Episode: 6/10
Episode had a lot of teams moving up and down placements. Mistakes were made and were very evident. Drama between Jessica and Brittany. Momentum only ruined by detour.
