I think Tara and Joey won. What is that last scream of happiness on the stadium by Joey? To me it seems like that team that knows he is in first and will win it.

"Go Red Sox!":groan: Disgusted :funny:
Joey dissing the Cubs on their turf :funny:
Filming took place before the end of the MLB season, but Phil still mentions the Cubs winning the World Series, the magic of television :P
^ So what does the memory task involve? Damn geoblockTeams have to place all their placements for the past 11 legs on the scoreboard and would be given an equation after to solve for a three-digit number. Then, they had to find the seat number which matches their correct answer to locate their clue.

Even though I'm a massive Red Sox fan, I don't think u should be discussing them on the Cubs's patch....
"Stay tuned" caption recognization:Anyone have a single clue why teams were running around downtown Chicago like chickens with their heads cut off? London sprinting south, Tara & Joey running north, and Scott & Brooke going west? ??? :)
1-10 are Chicagoland Speedway, check!
11-13 is London running along LaSalle Street in the business district toward the Chicago Board of Trade Building. Exact point of the sprint scene is 120 North LaSalle.
14-16 is Tara & Joey on DuSable Bridge (fun fact: a historical drawbridge built at the beginning of the Roaring 20's)
17-22 is Wrigley Field, check!
23-24 is Scott & Brooke on the intersection of South Wabash Avenue and East Congress Parkway, exactly at the west corner of Roosevelt University
28-30 is Scott & Brooke running at Milton Lee Olive Park and an unrelated festival is taking place in the background.
31-40 is Murphy's Rooftop Bleachers
43 is LoLo preparing the board the Chicago L tram on what I hope is the red train line, most likely on their way to Lake View
Just supplemental info from the promo. Key: Blue is London, green is Tara & Joey, and orange is Brooke & Scott."Stay tuned" caption recognization:Anyone have a single clue why teams were running around downtown Chicago like chickens with their heads cut off? This is going to be tough to watch. I am a lifelong, die hard Cleveland Indians fan. I attended games 6 and 7 of the ill-fated world series, and now I will have my nose rubbed in it once again even though this took place months before they won. Ugh.
Son of a gun, Ernie and Cindy were in the stands
^ So what does the memory task involve? Damn geoblock
I'm not seeing it mentioned anywhere, but Scott & Brooke's placements currently align with the numbers next to the cities on the Wrigley Field board (all be it the Zanzibar leg where they moved from 7th to 6th after Becca & Floyd had their passport drama), so that has to be what the final memory task involves...
In Leg 1, London & Logan got 6th and Tara & Joey got 7th, but there were time credits which pushed T/J to 6th anld LoLo to 8th. I hope this doesnt give Brooke & Scott anl advantage in the placement memory challenge
From this task design, the difficulty depends on whether they can solve the equation before getting all scores correct, if they need to solve the equation to realize they are wrong, it could take time to correct the mistakes (run to change scores and calculate and run to seat again). If they have a judge to tell they are correct or wrong before solving equation, that would be easier. I think production may go for the latter, but I like the no-checking arrangement more.
Something I noticed in the first Vietnam leg... Brooke studying for the Final Memory Task? :spy:

Easy memory task > no memory task at all but that's just me :chute:A memory task as lame as TAR 16's elimination order make the leg worse actually

Not to mention the cities are listed alphabetically, rather than chronologically so it prevents someone from simply going leg by leg in order.

Which would only make a difference if you didn't study. Literally all teams would need to do is grab their notebooks, search for the cities, and then do the placements. If they only need to convey this through a radio, it should take less than an hour(assuming the radios work perfectly).
Matt & Redmond might have had the easiest time if they were here. Their race was all 1-2-3-4's
i who (pic as reference) WHO def did NOT win...so based on the live sightings it's easy to know the teams that won
Well that answers Rachel's post why they were running in 3 different places downtown
"We're Going to Victory Lane"--In this Active Route Marker, Tara (left) and Joey (right) must travel by train or on foot to three locations where they will collect postcards then deliver them to a beekeeper waiting on the top of the Chicago City Hall in order to receive the next clue on THE AMAZING RACE, Thursday, June 1 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. So THAT's why Brooke & Scott and London & Logan were spotted at a train station but Tara & Joey was not.

How funny, we had City Hall as a location all the way back in July right here (http://forum.realityfanforum.com/index.php/topic,32172.msg1171145.html#msg1171145).Peach said racers were heard asking for directions to Buckingham Fountain, City Hall, and Wabash Avenue Bridge. Now I know why London and Brooke & Scott were shown running around downtown, but why were Tara & Joey running across DuSable Bridge during the preview?
Maybe Wabash Bridge and Buckingham Fountain are two of the postcard pick up points then?
Not being a frequent flier, I was confused by Scott/Brooke talking about "gate-checking" their luggage. The reading I've done tells me a gate-check is a way for airlines to deal with strollers and carseats. Did they mean to say that they put their backpacks into checked luggage and then abandoned them at the airport? ???
