Rach only did the Race as a gift to Vicky's birthday (with her wanting to do the audition tape) :lol:
That opportunity came. The Amazing Race Asia which had a hiatus for several years, finally went through a revival for a brand new fifth season. With this, Vicky was determined to join the Race.
Only one problem: he had trouble finding friends to invite as his team-mates.
"The Amazing Race means to be away for an entire month. So many people couldn't do it. Luckily Rach could," he said.
"It's because he does not have any friends," joked Rach. "Doing it (the audition tape) was a birthday gift. Not a love gift!"

Additionally, Rach was sick on the third leg.
"On the leg from Bandung to Jakarta she (Rach) contacted a high fever, and suffered from diarrhea. It was tough and how I slowed down during that leg, with the frustrations and us trying our best to work in unison. It was particularly tougher for our fourth leg because of our Speed Bump, "said Vicky.
