Pretty good. Topped last year's season premiere, IMO
And oh no :( As I feared, Jillian was shades of a Canadian Rachel Reilly. Giving Emmett a hard time right out of the gate.

I hate pulling out the editing card, as teams that i hate love to play it so much, but I'll vouch for Jillian and say that it really was editing, as I remember seeing feeds with her in them.

Fun premiere even though it was rushed
Looking forward to this season because we have some interesting teams and personalities
1) Jillian #calmdown :funny:
2) Steph & Kristen
3) Stéphane & Antoine- They have a story to tell now!
4) Joel & Ashley- More personality please. Least memorable imo.
5) Julie & Lowell- Inspirational. Too bad Lowell couldn't complete the first roadblock.
6) Frankie & Amy- Interesting. want to see more.
7) Rita & Yvette- Their intro was hilarious :funny:
8 ) Anne & Tanya- I like them. They need to stop getting lost. :funny:
9) Kelly & Kate- #Trainwrecks
10) Anthony & Brandon - Eliminated
Would have liked to see them for maybe 1 more episode

Really enjoyable first episode! My favourite teams are Steph and Kristen, Stephane and Antoine, Julie and Lowell & Frankie and Amy!

My pre-favorites are still my favorites so yay. 😃 I think most interesting teams for me are:Steph and Kristen, Julie and Lowell, Frankie and Amy andStephane and Antoine, same as Samualdudes'😃. I'm rooting for all of them. Haven't had these much favorites for a while😂

I liked it a LOT (probably my favorite TARCAN premiere), but did anyone notice them slightly taking editing cues from TARUS? =/
I was kinda disappointed that we didn't see all teams finish the SLT + we didn't see everyone arrive at the airport + there was some general fast-forwarding in regards to stuff (we didn't even see them get on a train) :/
TARCAN3, for how bad I thought it was, at least edited it well. Hoping this is only for this first leg.

No she wasn't lol?
Jillian was only negative on like Week 10... and even then she was pretty positive all the way to the finale!
Prior to that, she was relatively positive allthroughout as well.
She was way negative on this first episode compared to her ENTIRE BBCAN journey omg :lol: <3

Super strong first leg! The cast looks like it's going to live up to the expectations! I didn't find the leg rushed to be honest, think we had an even spread of tasks and introduction to teams. It's a pity the first RB had to be cancelled. Would've been nice to see how it would've played out. I think the most vanilla team got eliminated. Anne & Tanya's sense of direction is definitely going to hinder them :lol:

Amazing Premiere. Easily my favourite TARCAN premiere and probably my favourite TAR Premiere in a long time, period.
Jillian is hilariously OTT and this is probably the exes dynamic TARCAN wanted but didn't get from Dujean & Leilani. I loved Jillian on BBCAN and even though her edit is unflattering, it's honestly amazing to see them both in a new light. Love them so much.
Anne & Tanya are also great. There is honestly something beautiful about a team that messes up so bad (dropping to last while being on the first flight), staying in last, and then leaping to safety because of a team's mistake. It honestly reminded me of Lucy & Emilia to a smaller extent and both of them seem really fun. I hope they do well.
Ashley's Roadblock meltdown was AMAZING and them randomly skipping the SLT was hilarious. They're really cool so far and Joel has the potential to be the dryly fun teammate.
Kelly & Kate, like Anne & Tanya, were complete wrecks as well. LOL at their raft.
Frankie & Amy were just generally fun throughout the leg and nothing makes me happier than seeing happy people on The Amazing Race.
Steph & Kristen were really strong... really like Natalie & Meghan + they are positive and cute too so I like them!
Stephané & Antoine are basically Dennis & Andrew 2.0 and Stephané was really inspirational when he did that RB. Already one of my favourite father/son team in all TARs (showing how much father/son casting sucks on this franchise).
Rita & Yvette weren't so visible, but whenever they were on they were fun.
I was worried Lowell would eat up screentime but a lot of it focused on Lowell being oblivious of almost everything and Julie being a panicky person at the Roadblock. Loved it.
Anthony & Brandon had a cute deer comment and after that they were pretty much likable enough but not to the extent of everyone. Acceptable and nice first boots.
Really excited for the rest of the season! :conf:

So from the preview, apparently going for the Express Passes involves more of a task this time. Looks like they have to chase down some kind of musical bus full of vinyl records through the downtown. That sounds like it's going to be hilarious just describing it.
Maybe this should have been in the Episode 2 thread, but I can't post there until after Oval does :)

If all the teams continued doing the first RB, I think Anthony & Brandon would be safe but well, they were not that great (at least based on the episode) for me to be sad. I think Jilian & Emmett will receive villain edit of bickering couples?

I agree she was not negative on BBCan - she's not a "negative" person, but she was extremely expressive and animated (I am sure this is the reason why they were cast). So in many ways, I can see her expressive & animated personality leading to the way she is on the race. I LOVED it.

OMG, this premier is amazing. <333 And what's with the 5 F/F, I didn't follow the spoiler this season so it came across very surprising to me. <3 :lol: :lol:
The first RB is so SCARY. It's the first task ever on any TAR that make me on the edge of my seat. HELL. That was not only physically trumatizing but also mentally! Great job bring that on TARCAN! A bit disappointed that it got canceled half-way or else I think we might get couples more quit and more drama. In addition, I'm not really a fan of they just let the team go without any condition. (Seriously? I think the former 2 quit teams got screwed a lot by this.) But whatever, still a very very good task. The SLT and second RB is also OK. I really enjoyed this premier compare to the recent TARUS premier!
My problem is that the editing is super rush. But I know it's premier and it contained 3 tasks and navigation all over the legs. So I'll take it. :)
@Gamerfan, I can also sense some Lumilia's vibe from Anne & Tanya. <33333 Hopefully they go far! Steph & Kristen also reminded me of the physically stronger version of Nicky & Kim. But hopefully they won't got ROBBED midway like the former. <333 Also rooting for almost the entire cast! This cast is very interesting and I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season!

Yeah, but like, I don't think some of the F/F that got let go could ever done on the second try. So it didn't really fair for the 2 quit teams that strategize this. :P
