This season will feature 10 teams, which includes Li Xiaopeng & Li Anqi from Season 1, and will be aired on June 2016.
This season is an "Olympic" Edition, which means the route will feature 10 cities that have hosted (Summer) Olympic.
They claim that the producers from the American version will help producing the show, and also the show will be edited by the editors from the American version.
Hopefully, this season will look more alike to the American version.

LEG3 is Japan.They filmed yesterday.
Shenzhen TV's program Group was be live the leg by phone.Most time they just chated with fans and didn't spoil more information.The racers just appeared three seconds on the screen and ran away.

I ran across some pictures yesterday that show that some version of TAR was filming in Tokyo 2 days ago. Unfortunately, they've been taken down, so I don't have anything to post here. The one picture I saw of a contestant made it look like it was probably TAR China, so I'm posting it here. Some filming (possibly the pit stop?) was at Tokyo Tower, a 330m/1090 ft tall broadcasting tower that resembles the Eiffel Tower.

Revival? Maybe. Intruders? Probably not; last season deliberately started off with two less teams with two Intruding teams appearing later on. On the bright side they compensate with 90-minute long episodes every week. :D

Well, one of the 8 teams already a team brought back from season 1.  Always appreciate 90 minute length for the premiere, the 90-minute does feel a bit too much at certain points of the race, at least I had that issue last season.

Just watched leg 1.

- Will never stop finding Alan Wu's accent kinda weird.
- Loved the number of Route Info tasks they get to fit in each leg, probably for the way the shoot the race with so much break between each block and also for having a lot more time for content per episode. Especially the Race start and final task, they were actually more interesting than RB or the Detour options.


If shooting of Rio leg is confirmed for this month, try letting me know ahead of time. I do have some already scheduled vacation days coming up in two weeks. If dates match, with days I don't have things scheduled, I could try heading north to check that filming.

Haven't watched the ep yet, but I did skim through it.  The opening credits look and sound great with the TAR theme.  And they manage to make the TAR28-style flying names of doom look, actually, decent.  Maybe because of less characters I guess, the names didn't take over the entire screen.

Kinda sad they seem to have gone back to the US-style of on-screen graphics though for the Road Block/Detour. I liked their original graphics from last season.

My Italian is only marginally better than my non existent Spanish...but if they want to really confuse the locals posting a task instruction in Italian would be one way to do it.

Well, wiki says there was a Mexican version of PE in 2016...so maybe this is an old sign from that?   :colors

OK, really curious about how the final legs for the season will work out.

- So this shooting block included all legs set in the American (North and South) continent. Unless final leg is shot completely separate altogether, but with the filming of the new TAR Asia season starting, seems like Allan won't be available for that until the end of the month. The funny part also, is that RIo leg will be 10th leg of the race, and at least this version of TAR didn't got further than 10 legs.
- It is also funny that we are so used by holding back team intel, especially id of final 3 in the other races, that with this celebrity edition, we do have teams still connected even in between legs, so seems like final 3 is also out there through social media posts from the teams posting.
- So after Mexico, they did fly down here, we have posts from Allan and some of the final 3 about being in Rio around July 20th, they were probably done with the leg on that some day. And even though I had the week off, I missed these news altogether, as I was busy following SDCC news. Also, assuming those final 3 pics spoiled who made it into the group, Vanness Wu is among them, and he was already back in the US to attend SDCC 2 days later. And Allan seems to have stayed here in the country for a few more days, before flying back to Asia for the TAR Asia team reveal thing last week.

So really curious if the filming of the season is done?  If they're rounding back to Beijing, seems unlikely, if so seems like that won't be filmed until after TAR Asia have concluded its more traditional way of filming a TAR season.

It is my understanding that Rio was the Finale leg.

Finale leg is Rio.They filmed in July 21th.
