Price is Right specials will host contestants from Big Brother, Survivor, and The Amazing Race
The players will compete in three specials later this year

Contestants from Survivor, The Amazing Race and Big Brother have been invited to come on down for special night editions of The Price is Right.
EW has learned exclusively that the CBS game show will pay tribute to CBS’ reality shows by pitting former racers, castaways and houseguests against each other for three specials.
Each special will also feature appearances by Race’s Phil Keoghan, Survivor’s Jeff Probst and Big Brother’s Julie Chen. They’ll air later this year

I know Price is Right from Wikipedia by randomly clicking them. It's price guessing for prize game show.

I just realise that these specials are on PRIMETIME and we'll see some TAR contestants (TAR contestants appearing on these are much more rare than BB/Survivor).
Perhaps we can see with these specials who CBS likes? :)

I know The Price is right because we have the same game in my country. Haven't watched it for years though.

Any other speculation as to who will compete, I imagine they will play as pairs rather than individuals like the race.
I'm imagining:
Cowboys, Globetrotters, Tyler & Korey, Adam & Bethany, Dave & Connor, Tiffany & Krista,
Hoping for:
Charla & Mirna, Ron & Christina, Dustin & Kandice, Rachel & Brendon (probably on BB version), Team Guido

As long as Drew Carey is not cracking jokes half the time, I think this will be a fun special. I have not watched the Price Is Right since Bob Barker's glory days. I remember watching it on Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday breaks when I was stuck at home in my high school and college years.
And I haven't watched BB since season 12 and Survivor's several recent seasons except for the time I had to wait for TAR26's hour-long premiere. It's going to be interesting to see which reality competition alumni will be competing.
My hope for the lucky six (perhaps teams instead of individuals): Charla & Mirna, Team Cha Cha, Team Guido, Gary & Mallory, Kisha & Jen, and Jet & Cord. I would be going crazier than the typical daytime people who get picked to play if I see Jody & Shannon, Nic & Don, or the Gutsy Grannies though.

:res: Well, she was on TAR first before going to BB. I just hope Brendon & Rachel are not there. I would feel embarrassed for CBS if they were put in the TAR category. I think the contestants who have played in more than one CBS competition should be put in their originally cast show.

And Brendon & Rachel are expecting to have their child pretty soon so they definitely did not get called.

And yay! I know Rachel was pregnant (and gave birth), but yay to Nat being pregnant too! Congrats!!!
So happy they remembered TAR exists before TAR24, amirite? lol Bertram and Co. like to forget seasons before the most recent returning racers season ever existed.
So I am definitely happy to see Nat & Kat and Brooke & Claire invited back! Brook & Claire for TAR30: Unfinished Business please.
Would've been awesome to have invited Charla & Mirna though hehe

Someone on another board (I run it) said that these specials would have been better off being regular daytime episodes.
I bluntly told him something along the lines of... "What do you want CBS to do? Make these Million Dollar Spectaculars?" (Those are the usual primetime specials.) He still disagrees with me, saying yes.

Wouldn't there only be nine teams competing due to the format of The Price is Right? I am guessing that teams like Dennis and Isabelle were just in the audience.

In a way the promos inadvertently spoils us on who does get called lol :c

In all seriousness, Frankie is STILL the worst.
The BB one actually had a really bad set of potential people to play but the outcome was decent. Good job BB!
(I also loved the nice touch of Evicting everyone who lost at the wheel with the memory, definitely less cheesy than Jeff snuffing a torch :lol:)
The TAR one though, I'm pretty excited. Ripping open a clue to read the actual retail price>reading a vote>reading a cue card.

It's been a long while since I have watched BB so it was fascinating to see how much Janelle, Dr. Will, and Britney changed since seeing them trapped inside a studio. And congrats to Rachel Reilly on her new bundle of joy! Phil better bring the Pit Stop mat next to the wheel. I can't imagine it being a true TAR special without the "mat of doom". :bump
"However!... this is a pre-determined non-elimination knockout and you may spin again in the second half!" = best special ever!

In terms of actual viewer numbers though, TAR rated highest and Survivor lowest. The TAR special, in fact, rated higher than any episode of TAR since it moved to Friday nights, including the Wednesday premiere for TAR26. If CBS can put two and two together, or if we get lucky with which shows tank this season, moving TAR away from Friday seems like a distinct possibility.
