I find difficult for Canada, I don't know, maybe because it's close from USA, but never mind, it's not something to say no to Canada.
I really like Pebas, Peru, because it's not a island or a beach, it's a river, and I would love to see something different. It reminds me to The Amazon.

I can't find anything about Karabas, but I think it's pretty interesting. I think it's close to a river or a lake?
Maybe Indonesia will be the next destination, and I like this place.
Overall, I would like to see all those places. They are so different, and they are all new places to go!

Has Survivor ever pulled out of a location so suddenly before they start shooting? There's a category 5 cyclone that has just passed through Fiji, I think it might be possible they consider pulling the location now.
If thats the case I fear we might be getting Nicaragua as a replacement :(

Nicaragua Or Somoa might be replacements because they know the area and don't need to find challenge sites and good beaches. Also locals know them well so they can get places to stay.

Yes. If you probably remember, Jordan was the original location for season 4, but was pulled out because of 9/11.

Fiji seems interesting, but I do wish it were to be filmed somewhere else. Many more new island nations near Australia/New Zealand that they could do. Hopefully they change their minds and film on Disappointment Island. (Really, this is an island and not a joke about how poor of a choice Fiji was)

I imagine this will impact their schedule one way or another whether they just delay filming or choose to go elsewhere.
But there is a 30-day state of emergency in Fiji with power and communication outages, lack of clean drinking water and a need of mass clean up. It's definitely not the best place right now to host Survivor production for a few months. :(

I've read that the islands they were supposed to film on haven't really been affected though? ???
It will surely hinder production anyway, but I think they'll manage to host the season there, unless the threat is too dangerous. They are only in preparational stages as of now, with around a month left til filming.

Season 33 is going to be all newbies, with the theme still unknown. Completely unconfirmed, but there are speculations o a regional switch (e.g. south vs west vs east) or a political theme (e.g. republicans vs something vs something).
Season 34 will most likely be all returnees though. :) People are being called back already and Redmond has heard around 15 names, with all of them being from S23 onwards. Some people who have had their original seasons pre-HvV, but then played in Caramoan/HvV may be among those as well.

Redmond has explicitly repeated several times that he has only heard SOME of the expected 40 names, so there will very likely be some people from older seasons.

I'm okay with returnees tbh even though I personally found Cambodia awful. Surprised that Kaoh Rong isn't going down well especially since the viewers are increasing each episode. I find the characters interesting especially since it seems to have a tiered system of villains

I agree in the end that the characters are great, it is getting more complex too. Plenty of HvV II or a similar concept potential in this cast.

We have SEVENTEEN seasons represented, or NINETEEN if you count Caramona & Heroes vs. Villains, so it's amazing! There are overwhelmingly more recent people, but that's expected. I'm actually okay towards having winners, but it'll be harder for them with non-winners on the season. It's very strange that Danni is on here, since I've read her saying somewhere that she'd only return for an all-winners season. ???

Well, this isn't a Second Chance season, so.....
I agree and WANTED to see Shane/T-Bird though :/
And btw, I just don't see them using the themes floating around ("winners vs. jurors vs. pre-jury" or "winners vs. runners up vs. something"), because it would be hard to sell such theme to the media and the public IMO. HvV had a clear allocation of players, FvF's naturally do and out of these predicted "themes" I could only see a 2-tribe format with "winners vs. non-winners" happening. Just my two cents though.

Kelley only seemed good because she was in the "battling against adversity" position. The top 4 made that season unpalatable to watch for starters.

I understand why some would be put off by Wentworth outside the game, but I find her sarcasm and blunt way of speaking/approaching situations refreshing. She doesn't sugarcoat it for anyone.

I am liking this. I am still not convinced of Sabrina and Chelsea or Aubry and Debbie being cast together. Even though different seasons include different connections, castaways do use past references to kick others out at times, and that is not good for the game.
I REALLY think Aubry and Debbie are making good TV this season and they should come back, just maybe not together?

Past connections totally screwed over Cirie in HvV and made Parvati/Amanda bigger targets as well. And their mutual season had aired a really long time ago, so just think about what impact Kaoh Rong's players would have..
Anna had one of the boldest pre-merge games (while also being voted out pre-merge) in a long time along with Varner.

That's basically what I said. Stop giving people more chances than they already did. Big Brother/TAR doesn't do this (at least, I know TAR doesn't do it - Big Brother gave Janelle three chances).

TAR gave Globetrotters and Cowboys a third chance, which while they're entertaining teams, they took spots from deserved new all-stars. Agreed that unless it's a "4th time" special season that airs over summer or something, there's no reason to have these players play AGAIN. Ozzy a 4th time would be way to superfulous, so would Penner and honestly for me, Cirie. Cirie at this point if cast will float to F4 as the "older lady/mom" role instead of a strategic goddess that gets struck down early.
I'm a fan of one-time players who won coming back, like Earl/Danni, because we rarely see anything from them and it's important to jump-charge older seasons that haven't had many returnees. But Guatemala has so much to offer...Rafe, Judd, Cindy, and Lydia if she's not too old lol. also um, BRIAN deserves a second chance, prime example of a KelleyWent swap-tribe boot sufferor.
Hope the remaining names on the comeback sheet are not overrated characters and people who really want to play hard on a second try.

You should also consider that TAR has only had 3 returnee seasons and so only 33 teams (30 unique) have ever gotten the chance to return.
Meanwhile, Survivor has had a total of 10 (!) seasons including 2 or more returnees, with 3 of those seasons having a full-returnee cast (58 players), 3 having 10 returning players, 3 having 2 returnees, and 1 season with 3 returning castaways. So that in total makes up 97 people who have returned (once or more).
I am sure we would be seeing a lot more of the so called "threepeaters" or even someone like Jet & Cord returning for a 4th time for the casuals' sake if TAR had more seasons with returning teams. :tup:
... and although I HATED seeing Rupert 4 times, don't want AT ALL to see Ozzy for a 4th and wish Rob Mariano's 4th play and the entire Redemption Island season didn't exist, I'm kind of okay with Cirie potentially coming back again, because she was such a great player, who almost won twice and was absolutely robbed her third one. If some selective elite players return for a 3rd/4th time, I don't mind it, but sure, please don't make it a tradition. :lol:

Agreed - Ozzy? No thank you. They're only considering him to get old fans back into the mix and keep every Survivor generation engaged. But there's SOOOO many people that need a 2nd time out before he gets a 4th. I'm fine with him being in some form of Legendary Characters season, because he does have the all-around social, physical, and slightly strategic thing going on.
I would also really love Russell back, because while I don't think he's "learned" about himself, I think he would make a Spencer play to be more friendly and just have a good time, maybe making him less of a threat. He could go from the evil goblin to the Lucky Charms leprechaun of Survivor :funny:

Not really - no new Redmond/Inside Survivor releases on updated returnee season stuff. I imagine come late May/June we'll get info on cast for S33.

If some selective elite players return for a 3rd/4th time, I don't mind it, but sure, please don't make it a tradition. :lol:
Ryan has it right - before CBS or other powers give someone a third or fourth try, why not give people a second? Or make it so that the next time on the show is to be a part of the reward. Maybe have teams with returning players for a challenge (when the merge happens).

Another cast where I'm finding a lot of men difficult to root for, on first impression. We'll see come July/early Aug when media starts surfacing. Maybe that missing male is great.

- Sunday: Pastor and named Sunday. Hahahaha I'm not a fan of religious people because sometimes they criticize everything they don't see good (which doesn't mean it's not good), they are with the Holy Bible under the arm and blah blah. But I think Sunday is going to be great to see.
- William: Great, a young boy! Now he's the youngest castaway ever, right? Sorry Julia, your tittle was robbed so early. xD
- Zeke: Well he looks funny and great person. I see a little bit of Coby from Palau in him.
- Unknown Male Player: Hmmm... maybe a black guy? I would like a young (like William, in he's 18-19) black guy.
Which theme do you think it will be? People is speaking about Politicals, Liberal vs Conservative, there's a lot of similar jobs so maybe something related with their jobs like People who help the others (missionaries, homeless helper, etc) vs People who not (?), Collars like Worlds Apart (I hope they not, it's so recently), by Gender...
The majority is over 30, which is so awesome too.
It's an interesting cast, I have some to root for and others who I don't see too much through them. I'm so excited, I want to read their bios!! :cheer:

Definitely political-themed considering some really seem like conservatives vs. democrats IMO.
And the US elections are happening soon... this season is probably to tie into it.

I really like how diverse this cast is - when's the last time we had an asian female besides So? Not to mention 3 in a single season, which I believe has never happened before, aside from those racial-themed seasons. Hoping Ciandre (love that name :lol:) & Michaela represent and bring life to the season. <3 It's also interesting to see another bodybuilder straight after Cydney.
I've not watched Smosh a lot, but I've now found out that Mari is the third most important person (after Ian and Anthony) behind their channel? :spy:
Most of the men don't arouse any feeling in me, maybe the female part of the cast will slay again like this season. But Justin & Kenneth are def somebody to watch out for!
Paul also gives me Dan vibes, so I hope he either proves me wrong or goes out first. He screams first boot tbh.
I'm guessing the theme will have SOMETHING to do with religion, because I don't remember ANY of the past casts having such religion-heavy ocupations. Only Leslie from China comes to mind, and that was one person.

20 people, I hope it is 4/5 tribes which would be megaglam. I don't rly like 2tribes of 10 cause they easily make people Invisible; if there is 4 or 5 tribes, more people can appear due to being smaller groups of people.
I don't like a political themed Survivor because the show shouldn't be about that imho. Moreover, it will make people bond easily just based in their political thoughts, which is hard to fight against, thus giving benefits to alliances, and making people not going to flip flop that much. I want game, and I think that option may kill all the strategy, I am NOT a fan.

I prefer 4 tribes of 5 rather than just 2 of 10.
And I'm 100% with you on the theme. I want a Survivor season with just no theme. Just split the people in tribes and let the game begin. I'm also not a fan of the political theme. It puts Survivor in a spot that I don't like, and I see a lot of future criticism on this season and on some contestants based on their political thoughts.

i think 4/5 tribe is too many. Production need more space to make tribe challenge and it will be difficult for Jeff to see the progress of each tribe

I wonder if religion might play a part in the theme. Seems like there's an awful lot of faith-based professions in the mix (pastor, missionary, etc) and it seems just tasteless and radical enough to attract the Probst.
Sample voice-over: "Will the faith tribe be assisted by Jesus in their quest for the million? Or will stone-cold rational atheism and agnosticism allow the pagan tribe to outwit their way to the end?"

I've been thinking about this as well, and I'm unsure actually. I suppose he should have to pass it on, as I don't think the producers would risk introducing a new twist/advantage with a possibility for it not to be revealed at all.
With that logic, Jessica could theoretically been voted out in the premiere with the next holder of the legacy advantage gone the following tribal. And boom, then the advantage is gone for good? Doesn't seem sensible. :)
