I'm ready for new episode of TAR :conf:
-
~nvm polaroid is here~ Hi everyone! :waves:
-
Hi everyone! :waves:
-
Ready for another great episode! :hoot: (Specially because is in my home city )
-
To go with the Buenos Aires adventure, I made an Argentinian cocktail from gin and rum with a few generous squeezes of lime. Very excited to watch tonight!
-
Hopefully this leg is more than just teams wading in garbage!
-
And the race is under way!
-
Previously on The Amazing Race...
11 teams began a race around the world. Justin & Diana left Tanner & Josh in their wake to get the earliest flight to Rio. However, their risk to win the FF backfired and sent Justin reeling. At the detour, Cindy & Rick were puzzled while Kelly & Shevonne struggled giving Justin & Diana the chance they needed.
Team Texas won the leg and the EP. In the end, the cheerleaders won a battle of wits, sending team TMZ home first.
10 teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?
Cheerleaders: "See, we're smart."
-
Fingers crossed for a great leg!
-
Justin & Diana haven't gotten a chance to meet everyone since they were on the first flight. Their goal is to get to know everyone and to make some small alliances.
Tanner & Josh - 9:40 AM. Head to Buenos Aires, Argentina. When you arrive, search for the clue at the church Pope Francis was baptised. They're going to use the EP for their favour.
Jazmine & Danielle - 9:44? AM. They showed the other teams that they're a strong all girls team.
Cindy & Rick 9:48 AM.
Denise & James Earl - 9:56 AM. JE says he was much closer to his fam before coming out. This is the most time spent consecutively in 10 years with his mom.
Earliest flight to Buenos Aires leaves at 8:25 PM. Everyone's getting on the same flight.
-
They (editors) don't even show Tanner & Josh reading their Leg beginner clue anymore. :gaah:
-
Alex & Adam using someone's phone at the airport to find out the church where Pope Francis was baptised.
Denise & JE and Justin & Diana know the location and they agree not to share? Tanner & Josh asking Denise & JE for info lol. Paparazzi getting the address too. Justin: So much for the agreement. Tanner & Josh don't trust Justin...
Ernest & Jin doing a great flight attendant dance thing.
All teams on the same flight to Buenos Aires. Teams getting taxis. First few teams arriving at the church. Take a number. Church opens at 7:30 AM. Paprazzi got 2nd. Justin & Diana got 1st. Tanner & Josh got 3.
And now it's morning lol.
-
"Hi, welcome to the airport. Travel safe."
Gosh, I love Ernest & Jin!
But hours of operation... :(
-
They (editors) don't even show Tanner & Josh reading their Leg beginner clue anymore. :gaah:
:gaah:
Hoo bunching all the teams in a line for the detour clue.
Woah that statue is really counterintuitive
-
Justin & Diana entering the church first. Detour: Cartoneros or Fletero.
Cartoneros: 100 kg of cardboard for their next clue.
Fletero: Bring statue in a truck. One person directs while the other holds the statue together in the back. It must be displayed for teams to get their next clue from the park director.
Justin & Diana pick cardboard. Paparazzi pick statue. Tanner & Josh pick cardboard. Paprazzi switch to cardboard. Alex & Adam pick cardboard. Cindy & Rick cardboard. ok literally everyone doing cardboard lol. Track athletes last to get the clue.
There are 8 carts available. First come first serve.
-
The delivering point on Fletero is in the plaza in front of the USA Embassy.
-
The delivering point on Fletero is in the plaza in front of the USA Embassy.
alen i think being a detective for this ep is done already
-
Justin & Diana and Tanner & Josh first to arrive. Paparazzi and Chacattack arrive.
Oh looks like the reporters picked statue. They're trying to carry the statue out of the store lol. Kelsey: "Wait, let me take her head off." They loaded the truck. They're getting directions.
Tanner & Josh: Started at a church, now we're in a dumpster.
Looks like Justin & Diana hit a cardboard jackpot lol. Tanner & Josh heading to the truck to check how much cardboard they have and they pass Justin & Diana.
A bunch of other teams have arrived at track lol. A cheerleader fell while pushing the cart.
Tanner & Josh first to check their weight. 27.0/100kg.
Kelsey & Joey got detailed directions. Joey is in the back holding the statue. Kelsey is giving directions to the driver.
Tanner & Josh now at 39.5 kg. Justin & Diana at 60.0kg.
-
The delivering point on Fletero is in the plaza in front of the USA Embassy.
alen i think being a detective for this ep is done already
Source? :funny:
-
Cheerleader having trouble finding cardboard in the recycling bins.
Alex & Adam were the last one to get a cart. Jazmine & Danielle can't get a cart because there's none left...
Commercial.
-
Wow trash... how trashy for a Buenos Aires leg but not shocked.
-
This Detour is not good =/
I love the hectic bunch of teams all being together at the garbage side of the Detour but other than that it seems kinda linear?
The other one is boring as hell too.
-
I'll be missing out on the live show. :pity Internet here sucks! :gaah:
-

My own eyes, I know the place. :funny:

This Detour is not good =/

I thought they had to assemble the statue from scratch but they picked it up fully assembled. Also it looks way easier than the cardboard one.
-
This Detour is not good =/

The other one is boring as hell too.
Kelsey and Joey have to cross all the city from south to north.
-
Track stars can't get a cart. They're going to the truck to see if they can find a cart.
Justin & Diana found another great box with tons of cardboard. A local let Justin get a drink lol.
Tanner & Josh... 84.5kg. Tiffany & Krista literally look like they don't have any cardboard. Ernest & Jin making noises about how disgusting the bin is loooooool. Omg one of Alex & Adam went into the bin and then the other just shut the bin.
Justin & Diana got 110 kg! They're done the detour in 1st. Make your way to Bartolome Mine? Tanner & Josh done in 2nd. Tanner & Josh telling track stars where their cart is.
Kelsey still giving directions. Joey saying the statue head kind of looks like Kelsey lol. Speaking in Spanish.
Ernest & Jin - 59.5 kg. Logan & Chris done the detour in 3rd. Cindy & Rick - 59.5 kg. Maybe subtitle typo because Rick said 41 kg?
Justin & Diana first to get RB clue. RB: Who wants to get sideways? Teams must learn a tango. Practice the steps on a floor and now rig up and dance on the wall to get their clue lol. Diana doing the RB.
-
This Detour is not good =/

The other one is boring as hell too.
Kelsey and Joey have to cross all the city from south to north.
That doesn't make it a good task though, just VERY VERY boring. I don't want to see them sit in a truck for a task :res:
-
"You're going to be the woman. I'm the man." :funny: :funny:
The Russian professor from 21 has some competition.
-

Totally agree on that point. Only saying is more complicated due to the heavy Buenos Aires traffic on a work day.
-
Ok. This roadblock is ridiculous. Is this even a real thing in Bs. Aires? Or randomly put together by TAR? I like it but it's ridiculous.
-
Tanner doing the RB. And then shakes his hips.
HAHAHA Tanner's instructor: "You're going to be the woman. I'm the man." :funny: :funny: :funny:
Chris is doing the RB.
Kelsey & Joey are at the park. They just have to find where to put the statue.
A bunch of teams heading to a truck. Looks like Alex & Adam accidentally knocked over a bike lol.
Teams in line to get their cardboard weighed. Denise & James Earl done in 4th. Their taxi does not take US dollars. Cindy & Rick done in 5th.
Kelsey & Joey done the RB in 6th.
Denise & James Earl got a taxi.
Tiffany & Krista done the RB in 7th. Ernest & Jin done in 8th. Alex & Adam done in 9th. Track girls done in last.
-
Cindy doing the RB.
Diana first to go for an attempt. And it seemed like she failed pretty quick.
Kelsey is doing the RB. Tanner going for an attempt. Oof Tanner does not have great rhythm lol. Seems like Josh is quite irritated with Tanner.
Wait Logan is the girl??? LOL. Oops. Logan going for an attempt. She made it to the wall before it went wrong.
Diana going for a 2nd attempt. Justin gushing about how good Diana is. She made it to the wall part. And she's done the RB in 1st!!! Tanner can't stand Justin and hearing him scream when she got it.
Pit stop: Polo Stadium
Cheerleaders arrive. Justin & Diana get in their taxi and tell them that it's a dancing challenge. Cheerleaders excited.
Tanner messed up on his attempt. Logan going for a 2nd attempt.
-
Logan made it to the wall part again. Logan done the RB in 2nd!
Tanner & Josh feeling stressed out. Ernest & Jin arrive and Alex & Adam arrive too.
Tanner going for a 3rd attempt. Tanner is not great at dancing lol.
Commercial.
-
Do we legitimately have to have this dance for the next 30 minutes? :res:
-
It was ok leg love detour and roadblock
-
Logan made it to the wall part again. Logan done the RB in 2nd!
Tanner & Josh feeling stressed out. Ernest & Jin arrive and Alex & Adam arrive too.
Tanner going for a 3rd attempt. Tanner is not great at dancing lol.
Commercial.
Time to give the EP away lol
-
I love the tilted tango Roadblock! The angled perspective looking at the chosen teammates look pretty awesome.
-
That twist on RB <3
-
The other detour is boring but it's not linear. You would in trouble if you don't have a good direction and communication with the driver. Also, traffic problem...
-
And we're back with Tanner failing his attempt. Cindy going for an attempt but failed.
Tanner going for a 4th attempt. Josh giving him encouragement. And he's done in 3rd! Cindy going for a 2nd attempt and she's done in 4th.
Krista is a dancer but she's never done partner work. Alex was terrified with being dipped on the wall lol.
James Earl going for an attempt and he's done the RB in 5th!
Tanner & Josh can't get a cab I think? Track stars getting out of their cab and Denise & James Earl getting into that taxi. Tanner & Josh can't get a taxi who knows where to go.
Denise proud of James Earl. Denise: "I made you! You can out of my belly!" :funny: :funny: :funny:
Tanner & Josh not happy with Justin. They want to turn every team against him.
-
I'd like to thank Polaroid for updating today. :) I hate my internet. :gaah:
-
The track star doing the RB is talking about ab strength and how it's important for the wall portion.
Justin & Diana are the 1st team to arrive. They won a trip for 2 to Morocco.
Krista going for an attempt. She's killin it. Cheerleaders done in 6th. Kelsey going for an attempt. She's done in 7th.
Logan & Chris not sure if they're at the polo field. They went to the wrong entrance? Seems like a footrace between Denise & James Earl and Tanner & Josh??? Denise & Early with the lead. Tanner & Josh dropped their bags. Paparazzi coming as well.
Tanner & Josh got to the pit stop before Denise & James Earl right near the mat. Looks like Tanner pulled a hamstring... Logan & Chris 4th. Tanner regrets giving a leg for 2nd place.
Pit stop:
1st - Justin & Diana
2nd - Tanner & Josh
3rd - Denise & James Earl
4th - Logan & Chris
-
omg Denise & James Earl <3
-
ITS A MILLION DOLLARS ILL BUY YOU NEW FEET <3
-
Alex missed an attempt. Ernest & Jin out in 8th. The other brother was cheering on.
Cindy & Rick 5th. Phil tells the greeter that they're newlyweds. Greeter: "It will be a short time of happiness." :funny: :funny: :funny:
Alex going for a 2nd attempt. Just down to Alex & Adam and the track stars. Alex & Adam are done in 9th!!! Ernest & Jin asking their taxi driver if they know where the pit stop is. Alex & Adam trying to find a taxi driver who knows where the pit stop.
idk which track star is doing the RB but she got it. Done in last. She wants to put her shoes on but the other one says they have to go.
Omg the last 3 teams are all looking for taxis!!!
Omg track.
"My feet!"
"It's a million dollars! I'll buy you new feet!" :funny: :funny: :funny:
Pit stop:
1st - Justin & Diana
2nd - Tanner & Josh
3rd - Denise & James Earl
4th - Logan & Chris
5th - Cindy & Rick
-
Finally connected to the live show. :groan: At least I get to watch a footrace.
-
Am I really gonna have to do this every week?
This was a dull and boring leg.
Pitstart. Taxi to Airport. Taxi to HOO. Taxi to Detour. Taxi to Roadblock. Taxi to Pitstop.
If I see the pitstop clue at the half hour mark I just get annoyed and disappointed by the race. Whoever designed this leg was just checking the boxes. Especially if all there is to see after the first half of the episode is just another dancing challenge. Whoever is in charge of the leg design of the past few seasons really likes dancing. I'm surprised they didn't have to dress up like every other leg of last season.
-
omg Denise & James Earl <3
They almost outran Tanner & Josh! :hoot: Rooting for them more now so they will have good luck.
-
"IT'S A MILLION DOLLARS, I'LL BUY YOU NEW FEET"
Why is this not the title quote? Would be the best title quote in about 10 seasons.
-
This was a really crap leg, you know that its bad if the best thing about it is teams running lol
-
"IT'S A MILLION DOLLARS, I'LL BUY YOU NEW FEET"

^ Completely agree! Since when did anybody say "dog" at any point of this episode??
-
Looks like Alex & Adam got a taxi...? Omg the one track star still doesn't have shoes on. Ernest & Jin got into a taxi. Jazmine & Danielle finally got a taxi omg.
Tiffany & Krista are 6th on the pit stop. Greeter is doing the tango with Krista. Kelsey & Joey in 7th.
Pit stop:
1st - Justin & Diana
2nd - Tanner & Josh
3rd - Denise & James Earl
4th - Logan & Chris
5th - Cindy & Rick
6th - Tiffany & Krista
7th - Kelsey & Joey
-
NEL Please!
-
Ernest & Jin first to get out of the taxi...
Not sure what's going on. All teams basically out of their taxi.
Jazmine & Danielle are team #8.
Ernest & Jin think that they've been eliminated. They're crying because they have to go home but they have no home to go to and they both work a bazillion jobs. Phil tells them that they're team #9.
Alex & Adam are the last team to arrive and they've been eliminated from the race. They're disappointed that they only got to run 2 legs of the race. They're proud of everything that they did.
Pit stop:
1st - Justin & Diana
2nd - Tanner & Josh
3rd - Denise & James Earl
4th - Logan & Chris
5th - Cindy & Rick
6th - Tiffany & Krista
7th - Kelsey & Joey
8th - Jazmine & Danielle
9th - Ernest & Jin
10th - Alex & Adam (ELIMINATED)
-
Terrible leg. One of the worst of the new TAR (post-25) era, down there with the 26 and 27 premiere :res:
Hopefully it's onwards and up from here on like 26!
-

^ Completely agree! Since when did anybody say "dog" at any point of this episode??
But at least this season's title quote is back on track. It's definitely better than, let's say, Baby Bear's Soup or Welcome To The Jungle, or anything from season 24
-
The game by the pit stop reminds me of TAR16's detour. :colors I remember a 3-way competition for last place during that task.
-
NEL Please!
I wish.
All three teams in the back were likeable and easy to root for.
-
Next week on The Amazing Race...
The tension between Justin and Team Texas continues to build. Denise & James Earl hit a snag and teams scramble to avoid elimination.
-
Ahh, Alex & Adam... :'( I will miss them. They gave me better Mark & Michael vibes.
And I have finished my cocktail. Let's see what I come up with for an episode review.
-

If they've only made teams drive and deal with the inferno of Buenos Aires traffic (and drivers)...
-
I will rewatch the episode on TV later to see if the leg is really that terrible.

Not that great tbh, I was expecting more.
-
That was really quite a pathetic attempt at designing a leg. It's like they don't even remotely care.
-

Really? I think it was an interesting leg. A few surprising movements. Didn't expect Green Team to win and the black dancers to do badly.
-
Buenos Aires has a bunch of activities to offer. That does not mean choose the obvious and pointless stuff. But I am smiling that placements kept fluctuating this leg. I think this was a minor step up from the recent Rio leg. But I got to point out... where is someone thinking like a dog?!
LEG 2 (Brazil --> Argentina) EPISODE REVIEW
DRINK: Argentinian cocktail
Agreement deals from the start? Since when does anybody truly need an alliance on a race? At the end of the leg, everyone is looking out for their teammate and theirselves. Nobody is going to be voted out, evicted or fired. If you are really worried about a U-Turn, just race smarter and faster. Now that is a hymn from a church choir.
DETOUR: (Be Trashy or Be A Statue-Napper)
I found myself enjoying the cardboard collecting task. :ascared Seeing people rush to bins and frantically stuff bags with the discards was a spectacle. Does that make me seem trashy, no, but perhaps I should consider beginning new hobbies. As only Kelsey & Joey made a run being statue kidnappers, I can not tell a lie. That was a very boring task.
DETOUR SCORE: 8/10
Bartolome Mitre... that's a fun phrase to say. Too bad it only means a meter on Bartolome. There are tons of them for cars to reserve if I have to guess.
ROADBLOCK: (Who drank a little too much and is mesmerized by a camera rotating every time someone is dancing on a wall?)
This dancing task beats all other dancing tasks in the past few seasons. Although it made me feel a bit nauseous when the camera made a 90`turn, I loved watching this task play out. Best of all, Tanner & Josh got some hater karma. Karma is on an all-time high this season. "You're the woman, I'm the man."
ROADBLOCK: 8.5/10
When Denise & J.E. almost outleaped the Tyler & James wannabes, I would have been laughing all of tonight. Sadly, I am disappointed that Alex & Adam fell short. Well, I would have been disappointed for any of the bottom three team's to go.
Much like this review, the episode was boring... but a nice spectacle.
OVERALL: 8.2/10
-

Gin and Rum together? Guess we'll see you in a week! :blaster

Gin and Rum together? Guess we'll see you next week! The delivering point on Fletero is in the plaza in front of the USA Embassy.
alen i think being a detective for this ep is done already
Source? :funny:
A DETECTIVE'S work is NEVER done. :spy:

Really? I think it was an interesting leg. A few surprising movements. Didn't expect Green Team to win and the black dancers to do badly.
Green team got first to the church, first to the detour, first in line to the roadblock, first at the pitstop. They were probably sitting in the front of the plane.
Ernest and Jin didn't do anything particularly bad... they were probably in the back of the plane, so they were in the back of the pack the entire leg.
-

Gin and Rum together? Guess we'll see you in a week! :blaster
 Fizzed out for tonight especially after watching the 90 degree dancing. :iok
Figuring out next week's drink will be a challenge though. I'm not big on coffee after noon. I heard fernet & Coca-Cola is an Argentinian classic.
-
Or you can drink water every week that beverage is very international and easily accessible!

Fernet con coca is perfect.
-

Maybe if they travel to Antarctica, but I am only trying the "international travel of drinks" for this season. 27 is my lucky number and I want to find cool-sounding drinks that particularly relate to each country or region visited. :)
-
I've pulled a hamstring before. Team Texas is in real trouble if it's a hamstring pull.

You have a lot of creativity! If I tried to do that I would only print out a flag of a country and stick it on a can of soda
-
Were Jazmine&Danielle saved by Ernest&Jin? The guys told the girls to use their cart aft they were done with the detour while the girls ere on the way to the other side of the detour. If Ale is correct it would've take them way too long to change and perform the statue side.
-
Justin said the title quote. I think it was during the detour but I will have to rewatch to be sure.
-
Loving Ernest and Jin having fun at the airport. Loved Justin and Diana winning.
Team Texas focus on the game not another team.
-

No. That's Tanner and Josh, not Ernest and Jin. And the girls did not want to change the Detour. They wanted to go to the truck to see if any team finished so that they could take their cart.

Wow my short time memory is terrible. Nevermind then. :funny:
I'll pay more attention on rewatch tomorrow.
-
One more thing I love about this season i dont know in which way but it looks like old school The amazing race to me :trampb:
-
Justin said the title quote. I think it was during the detour but I will have to rewatch to be sure.
Actually justin said "dig like a dog" not "think"! It was during the detour, just before he drank the mate.
They can't even get the title quote right!
-
Really weird, upon watching the secret scenes there are some moments omitted from the episode that could have increased the editing a little, story-wise (the tasks were still meh, don't get me wrong, but these moments could have increased the episode's merit by just a little):
Kelsey & Joey bicker and get lost at the Detour.
There is a short 20 second segment of 2nd-4th talking about wanting Justin/Diana out
Alex & Adam's elimination was due to their taxi taking them to the wrong place en-route to the Pit Stop, not entirely due to the traffic.
There's also a short moment of tension that they could have sneakily edited with Jazmine & Danielle being (surprisingly) 8th because there was a scene of them running into the wrong entrance and just being lost at the Pit Stop.
Just some things to ponder upon about what was left on the cutting floor.

Wow all these should have been shown instead of showing teams entering the church and get amazed :ascared
-
With regards with the Detour tasks, the subpar one for me was with the Statue Delivery Task, it would have been better if it was a self-driving delivery task. The Garbage Collection one was fine with me as it really let them immerse in the daily life of some Argentinians. The Tango task was also fine with me. Editing was slightly better that the 1st leg. Also, why did Tanner & Josh not read where they are going at the start of the Leg. The winning team from the previous leg always gets to read the clue. This is the 1st time I think has happened with the editing. ???
This episode also let me get to know some of the teams better:
> Tiffany & Krista's enthusiasm is :hearts: (TAR has casted really good F/F casts since TAR New-Era [S.25]. We have, Kym & Alli, Amy & Maya, Shelley & Nici. Now we have Tiffany & Krista)
> Tanner & Josh's determination and being gentlemen to Jazmine & Danielle, one of those Amazing Race Random Acts of Kindness Moments. :yess:
> Logan & Chris, I did not get to see them that much in the 1st leg. Now I like them. :yess:
> Kelsey & Joey, I really like this couple, they have fun attitudes despite small screen times based on the 2 episodes.
> Denise :hearts:. James Earl, I know you're here. Tell your mom, she 's awesome and rockin those lipsticks.
> Ernest & Jin, They really want it so bad that even they did not do well this leg, they still want it. They want to give themselves a better life and for their mom. :hoot:
> Cindy & Rick, are still Cindy & Rick
I will have to rewatch the Episode for a follow up review. Still I know TAR could have done a better job. It was a step up from the premiere so I'm hoping things get better and better the next legs. :hoot:

I'm going to talk about edit first... omg the TEAM ANIMOSITY EDIT IS BACK AGAIN. I hate it but IT GETS ME EXCITED AND WANT TO WATCH WHAT HAPPENS IN THE END.
But that's not good, Justin and Diana are getting the evil/annoying/proud team edit... which means they don't win? Remember TEAM DENTISTS? But then at the same time, Tanner and Josh just seemed like sore losers at the same time.. IDK.
I like Denise and Earl James and Ernest and Jin a lot. I have no idea how Jazmine and Danielle fell behind but dang, they need to up their race??
Cardboard detour was meaningful but delivering art piece?... hmmm. LOVED THE ROADBLOCK.
Still getting used to the edit. And oh, am pretty sure Justin and Diana and Tanner and Josh will make it darn far. The amount of edit is.... ??? Kelsey and Joey and Logan and Chris are almost invisible.
-
So I saw the second episode:
Justin needs to shut up ... he is super annoying keeps commenting on everything LOUDLY and repeating and smiling for no reason whatsoever ... This guy is a drama queen .. I feel sorry for Diana she's always quite standing there watching Justin literally blabing nonsense. The airport scene where Justin was annoyed because the mom son team told the rest about the church where the pope was baptized was so sad and childish ... like really there is 100 ways to find out this info no need to act like a mentally ill person that early in the race. I never hated a team that much that early in the season.
The rest of teams I like till now with Josh and Tanner, Reporters and Ernest and Jin my three favorites.
In general the leg wasn't entertaining at all .. I was done from amazing race canada like 2 weeks ago and legs were designed in a much better way than this one! Anyways hopefully things will get better as season progresses.

This is a good sign for Tiffany & Krista if Justin & Diana get a bad edit and Tanner & Josh have a strained hamstring. Of course, I don't know how far Justin & Diana or Tanner & Josh will go.
-
Based on their backstory, I initially thought Justin & Diana were going to get what I like to call the "they can do no wrong" edit (Adam & Bethany, cowboys, etc) where the bad moments are never shown to make viewers love them.
But it appears they may actually be this season's villains.

This episode had something similar to Amazing Race Canada - wading in garbage!

Gamerfan09 you referred to secret scenes (bonus clips) which have always been on the CBS Amazing Race site the day after the telecast. I've looked every day since the season premiere and the only video scenes are clips from the show. Where did you find the secret scenes? Actually the same is true this season for Survivor so if anyone knows where to find secret scenes for that too I would really appreciate it.

Hmm.. are you from America? They have secret scenes along with clips from the show, best thing to do is just to play them all in the playlist and skip the show ones!
-
Yes I am from America. The CBS site only has show clips and no secret scenes. That's why I questioned it. Has anyone from the USA viewed secret scenes. If so, can you tell me where to find them?

And tango!
The edit is definitely something needing to get used to. Denise & James Earl are my absolute favourite right now! Great energy and attitude!
Justin is definitely getting the villain edit because everyone is nice. Kelly & Shevonne prolly were the originally slated villains, they just couldn't back it up with a good performance. I am interested to see if the other teams share Tanner & Josh's view of them, or if it had more to do with the fact that they're a threat to Team Texas.

Gamerfan09 mentioned something about the secret scenes and mentioned that the 2nd-4th place teams (Tanner & Josh, Denise & James Earl and Logan & Chris) of the 2nd leg want Justin & Diana out. I get Marie (of Tim & Marie) and Jim (of Misti & Jim) vibes from Justin based on the edit.
-

I would be amazed to see how Tanner & Josh perform with Tanner's injury. Amy (of Amy & Maya) from Season 25 had a leg injury but kept on going and definitely won, Amy did not want to quit and let her injury hinder them from the Race. I don't want Tanner & Josh going out a la Dave & Connor sometime in the Race. Hoping that they make the finals along with Tiffany & Krista and Denise & James Earl.
-
After rewatching the episode, I actually think it's not that bad. It wasn't as underwhelming as the 1st episode.
Ernest & Jin at the airport: I love it! :funny: It was actually memorable for the episode. :)
Justin seems to be getting the annoying edit, but I'll see how this will turn out.
There were shuffles in placement this leg, but Justin & Diana constantly stayed on top for the whole leg. It shows that they're really strong, but they just made a big mistake last leg. Imagine if they were eliminated on the 1st leg. :stare
The detour was actually good in my opinion. It's a choice between looking for garbage and delivering something.
The roadblock was nice too. I never saw tilted tango before the episode, and I know the task is not that easy.
Editing was better compared to the 1st episode. Each team got a good amount of screentime. Also, drama is starting to show between Justin and the Beefcakes.
Alex & Adam were just unlucky. :( They left the church in 4th, but arrived at the detour somewhere at the back of the pack. Furthermore, they fell behind while going to the pit stop. I could see so much potential in them, such as winning a leg, too bad it wasn't a NEL. :( I'd want to see more of them for an all-star season, but I know they don't let 10th place teams return. :( They remind me of Amy & Daniel from TAR21; they had so much potential too. :( I just wished Alex & Adam got the NEL.

There has never been a Leg 2 NEL tho lol

Still Canadians were better at it :snics: till now. the majority of the Canadian episodes were very exciting to watch with very unpredictable outcome while American is not as much. :nana
Justin and Diana didn't really get an evil edit but more like Justin is incapable of shutting the bleep up. If your mentally ill, you can be sure the editors will use this to their advantage and that's the case of Justin. he started crying cz they made a wrong decision on the first leg, I mean what the hell.

“We were really proud to be able to show-off our great city and its facilities. It’s a high profile show that really showcases Edmonton on a national stage.”
*says showcases Edmonton on a national stage* *goes to a gas station and a dump* *shows irrelevant tasks to the culture of the area*
Sure TARCAN is definitely better!!!
US TAR can be hated on all we want, at least we're not stuck in the home country 75% of the time with mainly irrelevant first-world tasks :<3

... And it'd be great to have one soon. :grins:

No way The Amazing race US is awesome and I used to enjoy it way more in past seasons but I am only comparing this season (27) to Canada's latest season and so far Canada's was better in my opinion. Seriously Americans can't handle hearing that Canada is doing a better job at anything they will lose it :funny: Anyways let's see maybe this season will get better.

Reviewing eps 2...
I think this leg was not bad at all, it was such a big improvement from the premiere, I loved the cartons detour side and the RB while the delivering statue is kinda boring but balance with the other side...
With the rivalries between #team texas and Justin seemed delivered and I can't wait for rest of their rivalries...
Argentina itself deliver some good legs and had never visited since 20, so kudos for that...
Editing was (still) poor but as stated, improved from the premiere....
Ernest and Jin at the airport tbh <3 and Alex and Adam :(

Yeah, would have been nice to have it on 21, 23, 24, 25, 26 too

If only Amy & Daniel and Dennis & Isabelle made it further in Season 21 & 25 respectively, 2 very likable teams that had potential and got booted very early. Alex & Adam now join them. :'(. I just realized that all the seasons mentioned by gamerfan, those that placed 10th were beaten racing to the pitstop.
-
ew @ potential NELs on those legs
-
Gamerfan09 thank you. I found the secret scenes on You Tube and will enjoy watching them.
-
I don't understand the hate for Justin...I actually think he's a very emotional guy and is excited and overwhelmed that he's on the Amazing Race and can't quite keep that in...I don't like #TeamTexas for hating on them...#ILoveJustin!!
-
I think I found out why Ernest & Jin overtook Alex & Adam en route to the Pit Stop. Eliminated by Galería A"polo".

I just realized that one thing that made me like the episode was a 3-way race for last to the pit stop. I remember TAR22's Botswana 2, and 3 teams were fighting for last that time. The suspense was better because I don't just guess between 2 teams, I have 3 teams to guess from. :)

And the exciting part was that the order of the teams DID change, meaning the suspense wasn't fake... which is why I'm glad they didn't show Alex & Adam's taxi get lost. Normally, when we see 2 teams racing to the Pit Stop, we see them arrive to the Pit Stop in the same order they left the last task.

takes 43 minutes, lol.

I actually thought this episode was really good? Both tasks were something we haven't seen before even if they weren't overly amazing. The teams really made it better with footrace. Denise was such a bundle of joy running to the pitstop
Ernest & Jin are also really fun to watch! I'm just waiting for Logan & Chris to explode its gonna happen
I hope the next episode isn't full of Justin saying "gracias mi amigo" I've heard enough of that to last a lifetime!!
All the teams are delivering but hope we get to see more of Kelsey/Joey, Chacattack & Logan/Chris in the future, they're a little under-edited.
But overall this episode wasn't as bad as reading this thread made it out to be!
-
I liked this episode. Lots of drama, lots of tiny real moments, fun to watch.
-
This is one of my fav so far from this season. <33
Chaotic yet beautiful Buenos Aires. <3 Cardbox Recycle <3 Sculpture Delivering <3 Wall Tango OMG SUPER COOL <33333 (Also Tiffany & Krista's reaction when they find out it's dancing task. <333)
The Cardbox is good physical task although I think it's pretty unfair for the back of the pack? Since all the box will be already picked up by the forefront. Delivering is OK although I think the assembly part is too easy. Wall Tango is def my fav task since it looked so cool and fun to dance in the way like that. <3
