NEW NIGHT! Friday Sept 26 at 8 PM!


Season 25 begins with 11 teams in New York City's Times Square, where they learn that the duo who win the first leg of the race will receive "The Save," a game-changing element that allows them to rescue themselves if they finish last on a future leg and face elimination. Next, the teams fly to the U.S. Virgin Islands and participate in their first challenge.

The Shetlands do kind of look like they are in the middle of nowhere (half way to Norway) but we've all heard about them.  ???

I think he said "Islands". We have St Thomas, Shetlands, Malta. And having been there, the Shetlands are def in the middle of nowhere. That was one long ferry ride when I did it! The others are not in the middle of nowhere for sure. :funny:

Onsite sources also said that the sisters had a lot of trouble finding the right entrance to the fort and took a long time getting to Phil.
 
Last three teams did not leave the task until after 9PM.

I wasted time before the show started using sites like this (http://www.boston.com/interactive/graphics/200907_tallshipsguide/) to try finding the ship. I thought I was looking for a
brig, but the ship's website (http://www.coolboatsusvi.com/blackbeard-s-revenge.html) calls it a gaff-rigged schooner. To further muddy the waters, sites like this (http://schoonermermaid.com/blog/is-she-a-schooner-or-brigatine) claim that definitions can be confused even among sailors. So...I give up.  :)
