If you are bringing us a live sighting, :tu !! But please do help us as much as you can with WHO (be descriptive, what they look like, is it a male/female team for example, what color they are wearing is helpful) WHAT are they doing, WHERE (as exactly as possible..street? airport gate? be specific!), WHEN (what time zone?, exact time), and any descriptions of the action! Pictures are treasured!
And even though we all get excited, please, once we have a possible location, take the discussion to the Speculation or Location threads and leave the Twitter zone free for incoming info! :ty3:

I'm wondering if she was on a flight earlier in the day since there were several Air Canada flights from Toronto to Calgary that would have arrived much earlier than this. There were several Westjet flights too, but I assume they are still flying Air Canada as much as possible this season. Perhaps they were provided flights to let the production staff to arrive and get set up, film intros, etc. before the teams show up.
There was also an interesting tweet about a sighting in Melbourne, Australia but I knew TAR Canada couldn't have gotten to Australia this fast!

The thing is...this is a huge time difference from that first sighting this morning, if real. Is it possible this is cast and crew traveling to the start line location? Calgary is often a connection for Vancouver. What was the tweet from Melbourne? Remember last year...the crew were spotted in Lunenberg several days in advance? And I think they went there right from Q.C. while the teams went to Nunavut.

The time difference bothers me too, but Kelsey may have been busy after getting back to Calgary and didn't tweet about it for several hours after she arrived with the teams. I've asked her for more details, but she hasn't responded yet.
I think it's very possible they could be connecting to somewhere else, but if they were going to Vancouver, I think they would probably take a direct flight from Toronto. There were several that arrived earlier than the tweet suggests. You may be right about the starting line not being in Toronto and this is a flight delivering them to the starting line. I hadn't thought of that.
Anyway, here's the tweet from Australia. It doesn't sound like production staff. I think it's likely a local race unless TAR Vietnam or one of the other TAR Asia versions is filming.

Just acting on a hunch and putting it out there...I thought where in Calgary could they have started from? Apparently there was a spontaneous low level helicopter flight approved over The Calgary Olympic Park (Winter 1988).

It looked like a roadblock since only one person ended up staying inside, and same with a red team.
It looked like there were 4 teams there and then another 4 on the way.
A cab driver told us they were filming Voyager and that another 4 teams had just arrived at the airport.

- no tweets or movement from her all weekend which fits her "weekend trip from Edmonton to Jasper"
- and a series of tweets within 15 minutes of each other on Monday morning that includes that winky face tweet to AmazingRaceCDA ("haha, I totally saw something"??) , and also to Jasper Tram, and Best Western Jasper all point to her having no twitter access over the weekend when sighting supposedly occurred.
I could be wrong, but when I saw the winky face on that tweet the AmazingRaceCDA I read the whole thing in a tone reflective of "I know something I'm not supposed to".
Mind you, being such a popular tourist area, you'd expect more sightings. Personally, I'm 70% sure of the validity of the sighting. We shall see how it turns out

I saw this tweet too but thought the same as Leafsfan. I tried looking up flight departure data to Calgary for the Jasper airport, but it would only show the current day. The Columbia Icefields would make an excellent startline, especially if they did it in a remote enough spot. Sneaky!

No, there is a Tram in Jasper area that one can take. She was replying to my message of wanting to visit the area one day. No relation.
Icefields as a start line would be super cool, and considering it's halfway between Edmonton and Calgary, could easily have teams given tickets for one of two flights to YVR, one from each airport. Though with no tweets from YEG I doubt this. Calgary Airport is about a 4 hour drive from Icefields. If the start line, and with a possible sighting on Saturday at 11am-12pm, gives teams PLENTY of time to drive to YYC for our evening sighting at the Calgary Airport.

Location: Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Under the Canal Road Flyover (堅拿道天橋)，that place is called Ngo Keng Kiu (鵝頸橋: Bridge of goose's neck) by locals.
This place is famous for Da Siu Yan (打小人: villain hitting)
I have walked around there around 15:30-17:30.
No teams spotted. No stickers used on u-turn board.
Only a dozen of staff members came. They set the board, talked with villain hitter (maybe the task is related to Da Siu Yan).
A cameraman filmed and took pictures for a while. That's all.
All of them have left the place, driven away around 17:30 and they've retrieved the board (with no stickers on it).
My guess, they were rehersing and filming the introductroy videos (possibily). But I can't see Phil :'(

The last TAR's visit to HK was S17 and I spotted two teams in Tsim Sha Tsui at that time!

It HAS to be TARCAN 2 because unless they're returning the old "picture U-Turn board" from TAR18 and back, it can't be TAR25.

I thought they were rehersing. OMG!
Maybe the teams have arrived in the morning. And the staff filmed for additional shots in the afternoon so I can't see nothing in the afternoon.

It doesn't make sense they are getting on a taxi in Central Plaza. It is a 20 min walk from the Goose Neck Bridge to there. Plus it is a Saturday and it is REALLY crowded in that area that you can't run freely without bumping into people.

He called it CBS's Amazing Race, but no, they normally film in the summer and winter. Too early.

I'm a bit late to the party, but here's some info from the first leg in Victoria BC on Sunday, April 27th.
The teams went Skydiving, 3 teams at a time, one member from each team. They departed in the AM from the Victoria Airport and the drop Zone was at Willows beach. Teams arrived at willows beach starting around 11 am and through until 1:30 or so. From there, the teams took a taxi to the Empress Hotel in the Victoria inner harbour where there was a clue box. The team did a roadblock in the hotel. One team member dressed as a waiter. Maybe serving High Tea in the Empress tea room.
From there, they got onto what looked like Canadian navy Zodiac inflatable boats and headed toward Esquimalt/Colwood. They did some sort of a task at the navy training center where they train firefighting and flood control on the navy ships.
From there, they went to the pit stop at the Fisgard lighthouse located at the Fort Rodd Hill national park. I think the first team was finished around 2 pm and the last around 5:30 pm.

Here's a picture of the pit-stop of the first leg in Victoria BC on Sunday, April 27th.
According to the person that sent me this picture, the team shown in the picture (both wearing red) appeared to be the first team to finish. He said they re-shot the arrival about 5 times. The team would run from about 20 feet away, jump onto the mat and throw their hands up. Probably standard for a reality show.

I was in Macau yesterday, i saw the teams at Senado Square near the famous Ruins of St. Paul's, black and white couple, 3 all-males team and two young couples.
Natalie and Meaghan was finding taxi when i saw them, and i heard that their destination was a hotel.

I saw them around 7:45pm to 8:30pm 4/5, one young couple and black and white couple were the last two teams i saw.
I thought the hotel would be a hotel in Taipa, as they were in Macau Peninsula.
As most of the famous hotels in Macau Peninsula are near Senado Square. It will so stupid for the teams to take a taxi to the place that they can walk to.

leggings, and coordinated red back packs were really moving"
"The clue box and challenge was right beside the Bruce Lee statue, so I did what
any fan would do, and pulled out my iPhone to take a video of the team doing the
challenge and snap a couple quick pictures. It was a simple task on the surface
(simply copy the pose of the Bruce Lee statue, and take a couple of directions
from a “director” in front of a fake camera (with their camera man recording)
before receiving their next clue. They quickly finished the task got the clue
with the stereotypical tear open moment and were off – the whole thing lasted
maybe two minutes."
"A couple hours later I was walking back along the same route, this time
keeping my eyes open but doubting any other teams would be that far behind, but
not far from the Bruce Lee Statute I saw another all male team, in blue running
toward me – probably having completed the task. I quickly juggled the phone and
got another couple rough pictures. I stopped by the clue box and snuck a photo
as the staff tending it was requesting that people didn’t take photo’s of the
box (but were not very successful given that they were in prime picture
territory for the harbor view). I heard the staff mention that they were with

A girl said her uncle's hotel was serving the contestants in Whitehorse.

Drove by around 7am and saw the cluebox and cameras. Drove by again at 8:30am and saw one team and cameras running down Portage Ave (could not make out details of team), and another team at cluebox. Doors to Nightclub were wide open (unusual for a Saturday morning).

CMHC = Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation which is in Ottawa. However I think it might be referring to Canadian Museum for Human Rights (in Winnipeg) which would would put it off by one letter.

Based on a close up sighting at The Museum of Nature:
M/M team with "dreads" (confirmed as Mickey and Pete after photo review) arrived in first place

Their hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. so I am thinking IF they went there, they didn't go there first thing from the airport, or why close it for the whole day.

I received a tip via email that the teams were in fact spotted at the Governor General's house - Rideau Hall. (remember the helicopter was seen flying over this locale) According to the source, cameras were positioned along the driveway leading up to the front door. They saw 2 teams (I have asked them to identify). Production was not happy that they were on a tour that day. They are not sure if this was the finish line or not (but I am wondering about the cameras positioned there?)
Updated: I was told the male team came in first, but the source couldn't give a positive ID on which one because they weren't that close.

Yes I saw that. Its definitely not Willow Beach on Vic Island...there is snow in the pic. I remember Calgary still had snow when the race started. Is that the toboggan run on the right? The placement is correct. I tried looking on the site for the park, their supplied map, as well as google maps but couldn't tell if there was a red stripe on the side of it or not. Does anyone know? I know that they were also closed that morning for a private event....and a helicopter (or a plane?) was given permission to fly over the site. Jon Montgomery was just on The Social and not only talked about the challenge we've seen in the previews (Rex's "mother of Cher!" Moment) but named it and showed a clip.
It's "The Monster" at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, the fastest zipline in North America. The clip was Jon's challenge description where he says "When teams arrive, they must climb to the top of this hill and both take a ride on the fastest zipline in North America, called The Monster."

you betcha I would have. I've lived here for 27 years, and know all the spots. I swim at Willows beach, I have often had tea at the Empress, and my son was a reservist at CFB Esquimalt. I have vacationed in Tofino, on that very beach....

Okay lets summarize:

So there is certainly a bigger "gap" between Winnipeg and Paris. I find it difficult to believe they just flew to Europe for one leg. If this is the missing leg, they flew to a destination that would require local transportation to Paris. It would also mean Winnipeg is not an NEL.

I think that Winnipeg is an EL, and Rex and Bob or Alain & Audrey are most likely eliminated ( :'( :'() unless the Twins pull a J/J.
I think that teams fly to Paris in leg 7, and then take a train to somewhere else for leg 7 before going back to Paris in Leg 8 (like TAR12 in Burkina Faso with Ouagadougou).
